Bank Holiday WeekendBed Comfortable, Breakfast reasonable, Staff need to be more amiable.

Specifically, the Reception and Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I loved the room (much more cosy than a Travelodge!), very clean, and will definitely look at booking with this hotel in the future.

Hotel is in a very busy area and shares common parking space with a popular pub. The grounds are patrolled by friendly security personel to make sure you are a registered guest and to protect their vehicles. The hotel staff were generally cold and not very friendly, they seemed more interested in talking fellow staff members than getting to know or assisting their guests.

Holiday Inn Express OldburyGood location with easy access to the M5. Very busy road so need to budget for additional time to reach your next destination. Room clean and simple and ideal if not staying too long.Staff very helpful and friendly and handled complaint regarding laundry delivery at 05.30 waking several customers up well.

Excellent! Will definitely stay here again.

The room was not fully cleaned, full dustmin with dirty wine glass left in the room. The food was positively terrible. Three items on the dinner menu were not available and my choice, the express burger with chips was luke warm with a bun that was very close to coasterThe only good thing about this hotel is the staff, who were extremely helpful. I used this hotel for convenience. If I could find something similiar I would switch. It is not cheap especially in this climate.

Breakfast was very limited and not very good.

A generic budget hotel. Plenty of parking but much evidence of some security issues with broken glass from smashed car windows all over the car park.Whilst rooms on the third floor are all labelled as non smoking, I believe they are ex smoking rooms and the corridor in particular still has that fuggy smell of stale tobacco. It really hits you as you step out of the lift.Generally however the hotel represents good value for money and the pub/restaurant 50 yards away does cheap food.

Great hotel outside of the city centre so none of the busy traffic to contend with. Room was as described. Bed one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in!

Room and bathroom were clean which is most important. The breakfast was very plain, the main toaster wasnt working and neither where the replacement toasters.Other than that, cheap and cheerful - ok for one night.

breakfast poor, toaster broken and replacement also broken, very little left at 9.15am.very poor in comparison to other express by holiday inns

Friendly reception staff. We booked a family room with sofa bed but we were allocated a double room on arrival. This was sorted out straight away with no fuss and the sofa bed for my teenage daughter was made up in our room by the time we returned from our night out. Excellent breakfast - plenty of fresh bread, rolls, cereal, choice of fresh juice, cereal etc.

Great place to stay before our Visit to Cadbury World. Complimentary continental buffet breakfeast quick and easy.

The whole experience was very quick and easy. The on line booking was great. I'm a mother with 3 girls and the holiday inn were warm and polite. The standard of the hotel exceeded our expectations for the money we paid. Light and modern with great facilities. We'd definatly recommend Laterooms and holiday inns.

Easy to find and Mcdonnalds nearby too. We had to wait whilst someone was upset with having to pay a deposit of £50.00 per room which I thought was cheap and should be charged to deter bad behaviour and damage being done to the facilities if you look after your room you get the deposit back! I couldn't understand the problem,if you can't afford a deposit then go elsewhere! Only 1 thing let the hotel down and that was the breakfast we had expected a continental with cheese eggs meats etc as is the norm but toast and a few rolls didn't really do it for us as we wanted leisurely continental breakfast on the Saturday to complete our visit it was nice but disappointing. would have paid more for a better breakfast had we known. Other than that the hotel wasVERY clean and friendly staff. A very nice hotel it was nice to have a pub next door with child friendly staff and great that a petrol garage was next door too.!

Very ordinary. Room was clean but wireless was sooo slow, and the food was poor.

Hotel was clean and tidy, rooms not huge but well designed (no bath, only shower). Not luxurious, but does what it says on the tin. Convenient location for the M5, being just off junction 2. Continental breakfast only, but good range.

1. I was not told that the switch key would operate my electricity and therefore fumbled about for a good while trying to find how to make the lights work, finally having to ring reception to ask! This is a new concept for me, and I think some mention of it could have been made when given the switch key for the room.2. Some way of dulling the doors when they slam shut would be a good idea! I was continually woken on Saturday morning with guests leaving and their doors up and down the corridor slamming shut after them, which meant I overslept and missed breakfast. Otherwise a nice quiet stay!

Value for money and polite, friendly staff. Room was fine, bathroom clean. No restaurant facility when we arrived which was disappointing with a young child, after a long journey. Nearby harvester style restaurant only allowed children up to 9pm, didn't arrive until 8:30pm... too much of a rush. Had to leave & drive to nearby fast food chain. Breakfast was adequate continental, but nothing special...very plain bread roll.
