This hotel was an excellent value in San Diego. Located in Old Town with lots of fun restaurants and shops, as well as an historic park make this a great area to visit with kids. Not far from the zoo, the beach and Sea World as well. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel in San Diego.

Very comfortable bed. I did not like the service, we came in for early arrival, no rooms were available-to be expected, but no reassuring and welcoming service. I was just disappointed in the way we were treated upon early arrival- it was expected we may have to wait for a room. But first two staff spoken with, one was a night manager, who when i asked if there were rooms available for early arrival- shook his head over and over and was just really rude. He said sorry couldn't really help because of 3rd party reservation. Second person was just as rude. AllI wanted was the courtesy of someone telling me they would call me as soon as room came available. They wouldn't even put a note in their system. Finally the last personI spoke with, Collin, was very kind and found us a room in ten minutes. So, I'm not sure ifI will go through Priceline again, because of the third-party stigma andI will probably not stay at this hotel again for a long time.

This was a good hotel. It was clean and attractive. The location within Old Town was great since it was quiet and set back from all the activity. The hotel offered a good free breakfast with lots of variety. The only downside was that we were under the impression that a free shuttle ran continuously from the hotel to Sea World, but when we got there we were informed that the shuttle only went to Sea World at 10:30 AM and returned at 5:00 PM every day. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is okay but not as descriped online. The bed linens had stains, window was broken and would not shut or secure, & ""free"" shuttle service was always late or a no show. If you like Mexican food, that is all the resturants within walking distance.

This hotel was comfortable and completely adequate for a few nights. The price is reasonable and it is still located close to most things. I like the fact that it is located far enough away from the interstate that noise is not an issue (I find this to be a major problem with many of the hotels in the comparably-priced hotel circle area.) Very nice spread at breakfast. Loved the free internet access.

May 2008, this hotel offered travel agent rates, and I thought that it was very nice. The courtyard is lovely, and the service was fabulous! I would definately book this hotel again.

The Holiday INN Express in Old Town San Diego is perfect because its close to the airport, old town San Diego and its an exit away from Sea World. The room had enough space for us and it was walking distance from great restaurants. My only issue was check in time was at 4:00pm. I would have preferred a noon time check in.

Not having stayed at this location in my many trips of 30 years to San Diego I have found the location for future visits based on several things: Close to all attractions; inexpensive; clean; friendly staff; all rooms non-smoking; would encourage others to stay there. A sure bet!!!!

Old Town San Diego is a nice area to stay in if you are looking for old time California Charm. There are several ethnic/Mexican restraunts that have home made appeal to them. The Holiday Inn is perfectly located to the area and is conveniently located to the San Diego International Airport. Overall, this was a great experience. And for the price you can't beat. The Great Start breakfast offer lots of varieties of food and very tasty.

Convenient location, friendly staff, cleanliness and complimentary breakfast. Have to pay extra for parking. The hotel is conveniently located near seaworld and mission beach san diego which was my purpose to go there. The hotel staff was very friendly and cooperative. The complimentary breakfast was good. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was to pay extra for the parking. I would definitely go there again as I have bought a year pass for seaworld.

Pleasently surprised, The Holiday Inn Express Old Town was conveniently located within easy walking distance but away from the noise and bustle of San Diego's Old Town. Tourist attractions, shops and restaurents were close by, as was the Old Town Trolley a very neat way to get around San Diego. An extra bonus was the incredible restaurant - El Agave across the street. Easily one of the best in the area.

Nice people. Great breakfast. We booked multiple hotels for our roadtrip, and Holiday Inn turned out to bethe best hotel. Very friendly people, satisfactory accommodation, and awesome complimentary breakfast. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed our stay here, although we were surprised by the 12 optional parking fee for the underground garage (some street parking is available, but it's scarce) - I missed seeing the fee mentioned when I booked (& it's listed as 9, not 12). But the room was extremely clean & comfortable, the front desk staff was friendly & helpful, and we could walk to Old Town. Didn't get to try the complimentary breakfast since we had to leave at 6am & they didn't serve until 7am. We'll stay here again next time.

Location. $12.50 parking lot fee. Located at the southern edge of San Diego Old Town, the hotel is located within easy walking distance of Old Town's attractions. Big, clean, comfortable room and bed, and the room was nice and quiet. Staff was always courteous and professional. Only negative point to make is that one must pay $12.50 daily to use the hotel's parking lot. Street parking is free and easy to find, but you worry some about your vehicle's safety.

Perfect location in beautiful Old Town. Easy access to everywhere else. The hotel location was great, it was only steps away from Old Town and its great little theatre. While parking in the hotel was $12, I was able to find convenient street parking every day (6) that I was there. The hotel was comfortable and service was good.

Very nice experience. The way the sections opened to the outside streets. I think this hotel offers very good service. The staff was very accommodating. It is in a nice central location with most places only a 10 minute drive.

Very comfortable bed. I was not aware of the parking facility situation and fee. Very good location, glad to have a breakfast before my departure, wasn't aware of the parking situation before I showed up.
