Very close to the ocean, great beds. The staff for the most part was rude and indifferent. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy with lots of pillows! Thought the rude check in guy was that usual one person with an attitude, but as the stay went on it seemed to me that the whole place got up on the wrong side of the bed! If you stay there enjoy the ocean and have fun and leave the sourpusses to themselves.

i stayed at the holiday inn express in ocean shores on june 20th - the 22nd. it was FANTASTIC!!!!! Me and my friends came out to getaway from the tiny town we live in and we had a tremendious time. the pool was just right and crystal clear. durring the first night we had some kids above us making a lot of noise i called down to the front desk. the agent told me that they would take care of it and thats jus what they did. with in 10 mins of me calling down it was perfectly quiet. it had to have been one of the best nights ive ever spent in a hotel and ive stayed in quite a few places and never have the employees been so helpful. they had a list of activitys and attractions ready 4 me upon request. if i had to stay in ocean shores again the only place i would stay is the holiday inn express. ohh yea just for the kicker it was probably the nost reasonable price that i found in all of ocean shores

Good location- near the beach.

My husband and I wanted to take advantage of a long weekend and getaway to Ocean Shores. We are a family of five to include a four year old, a two year old, and an eight month old so space was a big concern as it's still rainy season and we knew we'd be spending much time in the room. After looking at the room choices on their website we decided on the 750sq ft honeymoon suite - the space was so nice, loved it, would definitely get this room again. It cost us 159.99 a night. Checking in was an experience, the front desk workers did not have a professional appearance dressed in clothing barely looking clean, and they reeked of cigarette smoke - scary impression at first but did not matter after these few minutes of checking in. Only a few things I didn't like about the room...one problem was that this room was advertised having a king bed and a pullout sofa - perfect for us as the kids are small. When we got to the room, we found that the sofa was not a pullout so tensions started to rise already but the nice housekeeping lady (I think she was the supervisor) saw my disappointment and let us have a rollaway without telling management (I would have fought tooth and nail for the free rollaway anyway but lucky for them I didn't have to). The one rollaway, couch and crib they provided was fine with us. The suite was nothing extra special compared to other Holiday Inn Express rooms we've stayed at - clean and neat. The bed was very comfortable. The TV in the living area had a DVD player, the one in the bedroom did not.

Friendly and helpful staff. Noise late at night. We enjoyed our stay exceptfor the noise and the uncleanliness behind night the night stands. Will we ever go back? I am not sure.

The front desk staff were very friendly, they had our registration cards and keys ready when I had arrived and all I had to do was sign and be checked in. The swimming pool and hot tub very clean and it was nice that they had towels set out for the guests. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up. The breakfast bar was a real eye opener, fresh brewed coffee with cinnamon rolls, and waffles and the breakfast bar girl was very cheerful and polite. It was very relaxing and its a place that I will recommend to all my friends. A+ to all the staff....Keep up the good work!

The staff was great and it was super quiet! I wish it was just a little bit closer to the beach. The Holiday Inn Express was great. We had absolutely no problems with anything during our stay. We had the hot tub and pool room all to ourselves, which was really nice. The front desk lady was extremely informative about the area. We will definitely be back!

The service is awful, I made a reservation and canceled it same day. The Hotel representative told me there would be no cancellation fee and proceeded to give me a confirmation #. Low and behold a charge for * on my credit card, I called the hotel to have the charge reversed after two weeks they told me that without thew confirmation number they will not reverse the charge "as per the Owner" This is awful, I have never experienced such dissatisfaction from a major chain like this. You would not expect this type of service from a place like "Holiday Inn" My advice is FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY IN OCEAN SHORES..... in the meantime i am disputing the charge with my credit card company.... Thank Goodness for the internet so i can let people know about the service at this place...

Rooms were clean and had a good view. Breakfast was not good and pool area was too small.

We were very satisified with this hotel. Ended up that all hotels & campgrounds within 50 miles were sold out this weekend yet we still had great service and plenty of breakfast for all. We had no complaints. The view was great from our room and the noise level was great for the amount of people that were there.

I liked the fact it has a hot breakfast served. Wish breakfast was open untill 10:00 am. The staff was friendly, the room clean. We had a nice stay over all. The breakfast on Sunday was great and fresh. On Monday morning not so fresh. I believe it was because they had only a few rooms rented out for Sunday night so by the time we arrived for breakfast at 8:30 it had been sitting for a while. The plus side is they did have other things to eat besides the eggs and bacon. Tap water is awful any place you go to so bring bottle water.

Leaving their parking lot. Staff and room. Room was terrible. Heater was not working, not plugged in. Clock/radio was not working, not turned on.

Close to the beach, fridge in room, hot tub and pool. No pay per view movies. Great hotel, really close to beach, clean and free breakfast before 9:30 am.

Breakfast was very good; attendant was very nice Sound from above us; bed had dangerous slat sticking out. Could not sleep due to children jumping above us until way after midnight. Bed had board protruding out of side which I bruised my leg on. Breakfast was great!

It was reasonably priced for the room I needed. The meal time was so crowded that you couldn't get to the food. I enjoyed the stay as I was with my grandchildren and spent time at the beach. It provided all the amenities that we needed and was quiet in the room but everywhere people were. The pool, dining area and any other public space was so crowded you spent a lot of time in your room or at another establishment.

The breakfast was nice. Lack of curtains in rooms. Right near the beach, nice rooms and a better than expected breakfast, at a decent price.

Location by the ocean and the continental breakfast. You had to stand to see the view instead of sit. Great location. Loved the breakfast. Family-friendly.

The breakfast buffet. The workout room was very limited in machines. Satisfied.

Took great advantage of the view, given the orientation of the building. Breakfast area competed with ingress/egress to stairway. Great location. Good sized pool with a good location in the building.

Room smelled very moldy. The breakfast left much to be desired. The pool and hot tub water were a yellow-green color. The public spaces and our room smelled moldy. I am allergic to mold and can smell it very easily. The staff members that I approached for assistance were annoyed at best to help me.
