Don't waste your time looking for something better. Great beds, clean, quite, affordable and location is perfect for downtown interest. We were there with the Lance Armstrong Foundation and location was perfect for work at the convention center. O/s Staff. PS.Any concerns with cancer, please check LAF Foundation to educate yourself. I researched many hotels before booking our stay and the reviews I read all stated this was a great place - they were right!!! The hotel is easy to reach from the airport and Interstate 35, very clean, and the staff goes out of their way to meet your every need. A wonderful plus for this hotel is that it is smoke free, so rooms do not have that stale smell of cigarette smoke. We will most definitely be staying at this hotel again whenever we visit family in Austin. Anyone choosing this hotel will not be dissapointed.

Staff was really friendly and helpful. Free breakfast had a good selection of food including hot items. Rooms were cleaned every day, very spacious and well-kept. Loved having the free wireless internet in the room and never had any problems connecting or being kicked off. The location was convenient to downtown Austin and other parts as long as you have a car. Only took us 10 mins. to reach. The bed was really comfortable and I liked how they give you various labeled pillows on the bed(from soft to firm) to choose from. They left cookies and fruit for guests in the lobby which was also good. This hotel accommodated every need we had and we couldn't have been happier. I'm a very picky person when it comes to hotels and I absolutely loved this place.

Room costs about a 100 a night for a standard room with a king size bed. A nice spacy room for two adults a toddler. The front desk was positive and helpful. If you eat breakfast by 9am there's plenty to choose from including bacon, eggs, sausage, oatmeal....etc., and room service was available. Very clean and safe place to stay. Greatest shower heads on the planet. The pool is kind of small, so if you got kids that want to swim and everybody else does too, then it might get a little crowded. I would stay here again.

Stayed here during the South-by-Southwest concert event when every other hotel was practically doubling their rates. Very professional staff, high quality beds, and a hot complimentary breakfast that included eggs, sausage, bacon, hot cinnamon roles in addition to the regular breakfast fare. What more could you ask for? Little extras that made you feel like you were staying at a 5 star hotel included complimentary cookies at the front desk, and elliptical trainers in the fitness center. They also provide extra throws at the bottom of each bed. Nice touch. The lobby and the guestroom itself had an air of simple elegance. Nice view from the 18th floor bar & grill. Stayed here 3 nights, felt like I really found a gem just a few minutes from downtown Austin. I have traveled around the globe and it is rare to find a hotel of this quality at such a discounted rate compared to the competiton.

We spent our first 2 nights in Austin at this hotel and found it to be a great place to stay. We checked in early on the day of our arrival and found the staff to be extremely helpful and accomodating during our whole visit. The room was immaculate and well cared for, the breakfasts were very good. Aside from the typical continental breakfast items, this location daily served the hot items of bacon and sausage and biscuits and gravy. In addition, the first day had as "main dishes" scrambled eggs, the second, cheese omelets. The food quality was very good. Though it was 2 adults on our stay this time, I would recommend this location for families. Judging by the cars in the parking lot, I experienced this as a hotel for business persons and the upper middle class. While we were there, we did not see any children. Even though this hotel is right on the highway, we did not hear any outside noise; traffic or otherwise. The advantage of this was instant access to a variety of roads; the disadvantage is that it is not extraordinarily scenic. Minor critique: navigating roads in Austin was tough for us as "outsiders". My GPS unit did not recognize the address of this location. While lost, I placed a call to the front desk and they gave me an alternative street name and it took us right to the hotel driveway. I would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to friends and family.

I was totally amazed by this property. The property is impeccably clean, the staff well mannered and more than helpful, and it's in a fantastic central location. The beds are so comfortable you would rather lay in bed. Most hotels typically have only a few tv channels, but this one has extended cable TV - it was just like being at home. The managers reception was cool too - something you don't really expect from a Holiday Inn. If they had an onsite restaurant, this property could easily be a 4 star, but there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Definitely make it a point to stay here next time you're in Austin (if you can, try to get one of the suites - they're fantastic!)

"We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Austin. It is a nice, well kept hotel. Nice clean, comfortable room. Very comfortable bed/bedding and the shower was great too. Good location just minutes away from the State Capitol. The staff was nice. Outdoor pool was tiny and was in the parking lot, but it was too cold to swim anyway."
