The location was perfect for our needs The bed was terrible. The hotel was nice and clean. The only issue was the mattress.

Initially my impression of this property was exceptional and I was enjoying my extended stay. This was until a maintenance problem early on went unattended to for over 13 hours leaving us without a bathroom. The hotel clerk did provide us a key to a room down the hall for access to toilet/sink. She also gave us the option of moving to another room on the other end of the building. However none of this was proactive by the hotel staff. I had to keep inquiring to get assistance or any follow up status. One would think that a property with almost 100 rooms would have emergency maintenance capability. It seems that any issue involving safety or sanitation/hygiene should be responded to within a few hours and not at the inconvenience of the traveler if possible. In 8 days of the 5 front desk staff I have worked with or observed only 1 has performed above average when interacting with me or other customers.

Hotel was very clean. The room was very clean, standard size. Refrigerator in room. Staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very nice for a continental breakfast, including hot breakfast items and great coffee. I would consider this a good value.

Breakfast! Location. The staff was great, had a wonderful breakfast every morning (till 11 am on weekends) and provided free wireless Internet. We didn't use the gym and pool but would have if had our gear. If you're planning on exploring Newport, the hotel was not located in the heart of the city but that was a minor drawback if you have a car, however, it was near lots of supermarkets and chain restaurants. Highly recommended!

I was in Newport for one night and stayed at the Express hotel. Great service, wonderful room. Food was good for free breakfast. Free wireless a plus. Did not use the pool but it looked great and people were enjoying it. King size bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Reasonable rate. I value these reviews for when I travel so that is why I am writing this.

This hotel was clean and inviting. There was a choice of 4 pillows with various degrees of softness/firmness on each bed. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is fairly new, it's clean and the rooms are nice. I was impressed by the quality for the price. We went during school vacation and there were alot of families, the pool did get crowded. It is not as large as the pictures make it seem. The pool was closed for a maintenance problem and I received compensation for the inconvienance. The staff was very helpful. Having breakfast included was great, good selection for a buffet.

Friendliness, cleanness. My friend broke out in rash with the sheets.I checked for bugs did not see any. Hotel appeared clean. Although my friend broke out in rash, we call the help desk and they brought us new sheets and she was alright after that. I assumed that she might have been allergic to the detergent, or something, because I was afraid to thing of the worst. My bed was free of what ever her bed had. This was the only bad experience I had.

Nice hotel, nice location, nice price, nice room (bedroom, TV, DVD player, fridge, microwave) nice bathroom, free hi-speed internet, a computer room (but printer out of toner), Indoor pool and spa were good. Some broken machines in the training room. Breakfast was quite acceptable (had a very great breakfast in other place, so a little bit disappointed but still good). A little bit of smell in the hallway. One thing: Asked swabs after getting into the pool, but they didn't have one. Overall great place considering price!

It was comfortable and had everything we wanted. There was nothing that I didn't like. The hotel was conveniently located near plenty of food choices. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff members were friendly. It had all the amenities at a reasonable cost.

Nice pool and hot tub. Daily breakfast was awful. Eggs and bacon inedible. Coffee old and bitter. We stayed in the jacuzzi room. Unfortunately it allowed for no seating. you were in bed or the tub. As it was cold out and the room windows were not insulated we were bundled in bed with the heat on high. We only used the tub once as the drain clogged and it took a long time for it to drain. It was also was cold. The pool and hot tub were wonderful as were the coffee buns in the morning. We visited the mansions, which were close. The bed was comfortable, but the cold room did not lead to a romantic weekend, the purpose of the trip. The breakfast, the eggs and bacon were inedible.

The breakfast was awesome, the hotel staff was very friendly and the commodations were pretty good. They don't really clean the bedrooms,I found hair in the shower and food in the fridge.

Nothing. Awful service! They were overbooked and I had to scramble for a room at another hotel at 1:00 AM. Do not waste your time with this hotel. They will overbook and tell you that 5 rooms are damaged due to pipe issues, and they may made a reservation for you at another hotel without telling you. At 1:00 AM I had to fight with the front desk for them to take responsibility for messing up and find me a room at another hotel.
