Family was there for the weekend. Very close to the highway and everything "Mystic." The hotel was very comfortable and the amenities were great. Easy check in and out, good breakfast with eggs and sausage and such. Well above average accomodations, but not the best ever.

After what is usually a 2 1/2 hr. ride up I-95 turned into a 5 1/2 hrs. because of traffic, we arrived at 7:30 pm and our room still wasn't ready! I was furious!! We demanded compensation and got it. Just be weary of mid-week staff. The weekend staff were much nicer and more knowledgeable. The room was spacious, with a sofa bed, microwave and a small fridge. Great for our 5-yr. old and 7-yr. old. Very clean as well. The indoor pool was small (12' x 24') but nice and tidy since we swam while others were sight seeing and had the pool to ourselves. Could be claustrophobic/crowded if there were more people swimming. Breakfast can get crazy, especially on the weekends, the front desk attendant was re-supplying the food! Need more staff. Not enough seating. They stopped bringing out food at 9:30 am as well, which I think is too early. Proximity to sights close. Aquarium and Mystic Village shops are right across the street. Crossing the 4-lane road at the traffic light is pretty safe and you're there. About a mile from the seaport; could walk it if you had a stroller on a beautiful day. Otherwise there is ample parking. Shops in Mystic and drawbridge further down Rt. 27; about 2 miles. Very crowded withe little parking during peak hours. Overall, like i said, started bad, but got better.

I rented 2 rooms for myself and friend I was traveling with me and my 6yr old and he and his 11 yr old. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful in pointing out points of interest as well as recomending resturants in the area.Our stay was very enjoyalbe and the aquarium was in walking distance. The mian lobby was a bit zooish during the breakfast service but we took the food back to the room and enjoyed it there.The pool was nice and the whirlpool nicer for me, the pool was clean and well stocked with towels and the kids enjoyed it very much. We really had a nice stay.

The hotel was in a good location and the entrance was nice. The hotel was not clean it was disgusting. The hotel was dirty, there was hair in the Jacuzzi and by the bed and in the shower. It was disappointing walking into the room it wasn't as big as the picture showed.

Arrived at 7:30 pm. A 3 hr. ride turned into 5 1/2 due to I-95 traffic and room wasn't ready! Check in is at 3:00!!! I was furious! They compensated us by giving us a reduced rate, which made things more bearable. Room was very spacious and clean; 2 queens, sofa couch, micro, mini-fridge. Great for our two kids. Indoor pool was small (about 12' x 24'), but tidy. Swam when most people were out sight-seeing, so we had it to ourselves. Pool could be too small if you're claustrophobic in a busy pool. Whirlpool was nice; sits about 10 adults (about 6' x 8'). Breakfast was somewhat of a zoo; not enough seating nor staff to re-supply food; closed up at 9:30 am which I thought was too early. Weekend staff was a lot nicer, more accommodating and we ended up extending our stay one day because of the reduced rate. So be weary of mid-week staff. Weekend staff more knowledgeable, friendly.

Cleanliness and updated look. The hot food at breakfast was very poor. I think they should stick with cold foods at the breakfast buffet. The eggs looked like something made in a laboratory with unmelted cheese wiz in the middle and the sausage tasted like a freezer burnt hamburger. Horrible! Thank goodness for the Dunkin' Donuts at the bottom of the hill. I'm glad I was there to sleep, and not eat. Sleeping accommodations were wonderful, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The other 3 friends in my party also agreed with the sleeping arrangements.

A beautiful Lobby and upscale looking hotel. We had trouble with the keys, finding any form of information on the town and the staff was unfriendly and burdened by our inquiries. Room was a nice size.

It was so clean. People where great, room was wonderful! Nothing. They are very informative of what you need, the rooms are so clean and well set up, comes with free high speed Internet, complementary champagne in room, has a i pod alarm clock, has a nice pool and hot tub. The staff is great. Breakfast is free and good. Great place I would stay again.

The rooms had little details like an archway separating the sleeping area and the sofa/table area. This is a lovely hotel with large comfortable rooms. The bedding felt expensive and luxurious. The whole facility felt like a spa or resort. The staff was friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. I normally stay at Fox woods but I will make any future reservations at this Holiday Inn.

"We got to the hotel, and at first were very impressed. The lobby is nice. Our room had a stain on the carpet that looked fresh and we were told that they just couldn't get it out. Also saw ants in the room. Pool was VERY VERY small. Location is great, near all the mystic stuff, and not far from foxwoods and mohegan too. Stay away from bickfords across the street, the breakfast was gross. "

Easy to find and big comfy beds. The shampoo and conditioner did not smell too good. I would stay there again. Not too far from Fox Woods Casino either very nice.

"The hotel was very clean and spacoius. The staff was very kind and helpful. For being right in Mystic, and being a new, upscale hotel- we couldnt beet the price.I must say that we have stayed at several hotels in the area- besided the Mystic Marriot, they beat them all!!!!"
