I will totally recommend this hotel. They let us check in early so we can get to sea world. Front Desk provides a map with directions from the hotel to all attraction in san diego which was very helpful. they also provide a menue from local restaurant that deliver to your room. amd the free breakfast was pretty delicious.

The hotel is on a hill and so there is a nice view of the city from our third floor room. The room felt a bit musty. TheA/C unit helped clear that up a MIT but not entirely. The building is located on a small hill and so there is a nice view from the higher floors. Parking is on the main floor and very close to the lobby. The breakfast area is of good size and the staff is very friendly. The room was very nice and clean although it felt a little musty. Opening the window and turning on theA/C seemed to clear it up.

We had a very good stay. it was a little difficult to find at first, but once we got familar with the area we did not have any problems. The staff were great and the breakfast was better then an average continental breakfast, at other hotels we have stayed at. overall it was good value.

We were a little shocked when we first seen the outside of the motel. Not what we expected based on the pictures we saw. Also, a bit diffuclt to find unless you really know where you are going..we wound up at the ocean looking for the motel and had to double back to the 5 FWY to get to it. The front desk clerk was very helpful on the phone and got us back to the front loby so that was nice. Parking was not SUV friendly. Unless you have a very small compact (and if you have a family you more than likly do not) it is very diffuclt to park especially after 8 PM when the parking lot starts to fill up. Close to fast food (McDonalds and In and Out) but other than that not much with in walking distance. Pool was small...very small but the kids had fun so that is all that matters. Rooms were clean, sheets were clean. AC was old, the in the window kind so it did not really cool the room down until very early in the morning but ok otherwise. There were drapes and block out drapes to keep the sun out in the morning...misleading because of the decorative drapes but the block out drapes worked fine. Breakfast was good the 1st day, not so good the 2nd day, and ok on the 3rd day. Overall the place was nice, reminded us of traviling when we were kids and on a budget (remember sharing a two bed room with your brothers and sisters and folks eating out of the cooler you packed up before you left the house...it was like that) and the staff was pleasent. Close to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo - BIG PLUS!!

The parking was horrible. The breakfast was good, more options than expected. The rooms were small, nowhere for four people to eat.

The fact that I left after one miserable night. Everything! Horrible hotel. The location is a short drive to the beach. The girl at the front desk said she was giving us one of the nicer rooms, yet it was next to the elevator (loud all night long) and the maid's closet. The bathroom door and towel hook was broken, the sheets were dirty and the parking garage was dank and cramped. I will never stay here.

I stayed here for four days and it really is a nice hotel for the price, really nice rooms and very clean. The location is good also, but just about any where you stay in San Diego is a great location if you are driving. The food was great for breakfast! The pool and the hot tub is really small.

This hotel is in a convenient location as far as it is near the I-5 which takes you any place you'd like to go, but the area this hotel is located is iffy at best. Many transients, POOR POOR PARKING, and tricky to get to. It's set up on a hill and manuverability is poor, especially in a big vehicle. The room was clean, but not the greatest quality. Mattresses were uncomfortable and the room was small. The breakfast was one of the best continental breakfasts I've had, different selections every day, but the dining room was stifling and small. There are no restaurants nearby, except a Mc Donalds and a sleazy looking bar. The pool is tiny, but clean. The staff was nice, and helpful.... but if you happen to leave something there, don't expect to get it back. I left my purse under a chair, and there is no sign of it anywhere. I won't stay here again. I do like Holiday Inn Expresses in general, but this one is one of the worst I've stayed at.

The rooms were nice and the staff was pleasent and helpful. The only real drawback is the hotels location and parking. It is also kind of out of the way from major attractions to a beautiful city.

This was the first leg of a road-trip family vacation. We were very happy with the hotel facility and the helpfulness of the hotel staff. The location is great, it is near so many of the attractions in San Diego. The breakfast was great! The staff made sure they kept everything well stocked. The pool was small but my kids still enjoyed it. This place is a good value. I would definately stay here again.

Holiday Inn Express SAN DIEGO-MISSION BAY was Very Comfortable and reseasonable, the room were very clean and the locations were great! Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stays and will definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice clean room with plenty of room in the room. Would not give me a statement for my bill. Great place, people are very friendly and they are in the process of upgrading all the rooms. Very clean and easy access to the expressways. Would stay there again.

Could not sleep, party next door. Turns out it was the desk clerk and the security guard. when I asked them to quiet down at 12:30 AM, the clerk asked the security guard for "more champagne" Found another hotel, but was not fun. Complained to management in the morning. A waste of time. Have stayed in a lot of Holiday Inns...have never been in a place like this. Avoid at all costs.

The hotel was tucked away in a little corner on a hill sandwiched between a storage facility and some auto repair businesses. The parking area was extremely small and difficult to maneuver a minivan in. All the parking spaces seemeed made for compact vehicles. The staff and check-in experience were good however, the room was very small and old looking. There was wallpaper peeling in some places and after walking on the carpet barefooted for a while, my feet were filthy. The vetilation/climate control for the room was also terrible. After the first night, I woke with a sore throat and ended up going home completely sick. I was extremely disappointed.

Bed was comfortable,breakfast was included and better than expected. Traffic noise from freeway. Pleasantly pleased with the hotel.

We were happy from the minute we checked in. The front counter help was awesome! We were there 6 days and each day they were able to meet our needs and answer any and all of our questions. The room was CLEAN each and every day. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff did an awesome job of keeping everything filled. The pool was small and there isn't a game room, but my kids still had fun! The staff was wonderful! They made our stay very comfortable.

The Hotel was basically okay. The room was clean and neat, but the bathroom had ants. The hotel was hard to get into, having to make a u-turn a quarter mile away. If I was hiding out I'd stay here, I don't think anyone would find me.

Great breakfast, laundry facilities & workout room looked great. Pool is out of commission. The hotel was convenient to freeway anywhere in the city and to get out of town. The breakfast was very good and well presented. Was impressed with the laundry facility and workout room. The pool, however, was out of commission, but hopefully it will be repaired soon.
