My wife and I celebrated our 48th Anniversary with a quick trip to Phil. I used Orbitz as I have had good experiences. I ws quoted a price for the hotel and I went with them without questioning anything. I called the hotel to see about parking and I asked wha the hotel rates would be. This was the night before we left for Phil. They quoted me a price that ws $17.00 lower than that of Orbitz. I learned, call the hotel first then use Orbitz. The question...what will Orbitz do about it? What I said was true. Robert Purcell

My 20th floor room had a nice view of the Penn statue on city hall. I was charged $4 for pulling into the garage for less then five minutes.

The location was very convenient to bus, train, and many walkable locations at a reasonable price. But most of all, the friendliness of the staff will bring me back on my next trip to Philly. Every single staff member was polite, friendly, and eager to help. They made my stay pleasant & trouble-free.

Overall, it was standard Holiday Inn Express fare. Not inspiring, but not bad. I had requested a non-smoking room, but when I checked in I was informed they only had smoking rooms left. My allergies hated everything about that, and my clothes reeked. Beyond that, it was fine. I'd go back if I had to.

Convenient location. The room was weirdly designed, there was a locked slide door on the wall and I could easily hear what's on TV from the room next to mine! It was okay, neither pleasant nor unpleasant about the hotel. Wouldn't stay there again though.

Stayed over the New Year. Lady from the food area was awsome. Could not do enough for all the guests. Her personal touches had everyone commenting how nice she was. Iis a rare gem in today's hotel market. I would go back just to see her! Don't lose her! Give her some little extra $ if you have it.

Excellent location, midtown Philadelphia, walking distance to just about anything needed. Great stay, very clean and comfortable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! They have satellite TV that lost signal in a rain storm. Overall, a great stay! Very convenient location for downtown and much more affordable than places right around the corner. Staff was very nice and accommodating! They even extended our check out time 2 hours! Room was clean and nicely sized. Highly recommended!

Even though we only stayed one night my family and I loved our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was homey and clean.

We have visited Philadelphia several times in the last couple of years and, for the price, this was by far the best hotel we have stayed in. It is a short walk to fantastic restaurants and shopping. The room was very large and comfortable and there was no charge for a sbustantial breakfast and internet service. This is definitely where I will stay for my next visit.

I loved the location and the ease in which I could explore Philadelphia. The air conditioning system struggled to keep the room cool so it was on high constantly. I enjoyed the convenience of its location and amenities.

This hotel is AWESOME! Great price for the location! Staff was very personable and helpful!!! Breakfast was perfect and evening wine/cheese was unexpected! You cannot beat the location!!! Very easy to find. If you love art galleries - you are in luck - one on either side!!! We had a room facing the street and it was still quiet in the evening. Saturday night was the only night we heard noise - some grounp rented out a trolly/bus and kept circling the square rather loudly. I picked this hotel based on other reviews and am so glad I didn't go with the big "box chain hotel".

I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel with a pool while I was at a conference at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. This was a great choice--right on the 42 busline that heads to the hospital, lower priced than many downtown hotels, and the hot breakfast included was welcome. The pool isn't huge, but was big enough that I could swim some laps and relax. The downside: the room, which had a sign in it anouncing it was non-smoking, still smelled like it had had smokers in it, and on the 10th floor there was still a lot of street noise, including people yelling on Friday night. (Next time when they offer the 19th floor, I'll take it!)

I took my two kids up to Philly to show them the sites - we didn't plan to stay in the room long, except to sleep. With the exception of a mediocre breakfast, we had a fabulous stay there. The desk help were knowledgeable, the pool was great (my kids had a great time there) and almost everything was within walking distance. Neat little area surrounds the hotel and Chinatown is only a few blocks away. I'd stay there again.

Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia-Midtown has the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. Although the hotel is old and could use some upgrades I can't say enough about the people that work there. When I checked in, the room they gave me still had an empty beer bottle and coffee cup in it. The front desk clerk apologized profusely; she was told the room was ready. Because I was checking in early and requesting a smoking room, she explained that another room would not be ready for about an hour. Not a problem, I was meeting friends for lunch and would be back later. When I returned to check in, I was handed a gift bag filled with goodies! As I said the staff is wonderful. The express breakfast is great; fresh Fruit, pastries, cereal, plus hot omelets, toast, etc.

Great location; very clean; friendly and helpful staff. Nothing but carbs for breakfast, need some protein. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. Enjoyed the nice comfortable chair and ottoman while I checked out the local magazine for sights to visit and restaurants to try. Felt like it was centrally located for all my needs. Would definitely recommend to others and stay there on my next visit to Philadelphia.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express - Midtown for 2 nights and were very pleased with the cleanliness and value of the hotel. The breakfast was prepared well and to our surprise, quite varied. Adding more to the value. We were happy that the hotel was centrally located so that everywhere we went was within walking distance. In only 3 days we wanted to see everything we could - and did! We only regret we didn't get a chance to use the pool; it looked inviting. Thanks to the polite and helpful staff. We will definately join you again on our next visit to Phila.

The location to downtown was excellent. The power went off for about 1:30 minutes on the 10 with no explanation. The hotel was in a wonderful location. I was there on business but was able to take in some the wonderful sights and attractions.
