Beautiful rooms. Renovated. Close to the airport LAX. There were renovating but the standard told me nothing whenI called for info. Front desk lady not friendly.

The staff and shuttle service were great, the inside of the hotel needs to be renovated and elevator worked on, it moves very slow

Nice room, recently remodeled. Renovations and slowness of the elevator. The hotel is currently under renovation and we knew that before we went. There were some obstructions by the front that you had to walk around and the elevator (only one was working) was super slow. It would have been nice to know the van only runs every 30 minutes.

I found the hotel very good with the exception of the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, took a rather long time to respond to phone call when we stayed on our return on the 3rd of september

This was the worst night's stay my family has ever had. Bathroom smelled like urine; carpet was filthy; our non-smoking room reeked to high heaven of smoke! Proximity to airport was okay, but that's the ONLY good thing about this hotel. Lots of noise from airport. I agree with other reviewers - stay at ANY other hotel nearby. Save your money!

Free parking. People washing cars in parking garage. The construction workers were questionable, and stared at us upon arrival. They were eyeing what we had, & one followed behind us on our way to our room and stopped when we opened our room. He just stood there and looked in, then kept walking. We felt uncomfortable, and prayed that he didn't have a master room key. I really had to wonder if our stuff would be there when we returned.

This is a bad start or end to any holiday..the one and only thing in its favour is near to airport.The room smelt stale,holes in a shabby blanket, burns on the TV and burns on blanket. a vile smell from basin.. the reception staff rude and unhelpful, gave no info on area, or how to get to holiwood or info on tours etc.Restaurant disgusting, lobby area dreadful, windows never cleaned. cots were stored on area outside lifts ,looked like a romanian orphanage. a dreadfully run hotel .just dont go there. many other hotels near to airport.

Very close to the airport andmade an early flight convenient. Felt very rundown. Under any other circumstance I would have been extremely disappointed with this hotel. I have been to other locations of this chain and thought I had an idea of the chains standard. I was wrong. Fortunately, I was only at this location long enough to sleep a couple of hours and then catch an early flight.

This hotel has the worst matress in the world,people at the front desk were rude and they could not give us simple directions,we did not get the free breakfast that was advertised and the only nice place of the whole hotel was the pool ( that is not a big thing,but in comparison with the rest was ok) I'm sorry,can't recomend!!!!

The restaurant was convenient when we didn't want to leave the hotel. Decent food and service. It looked like it wasn't in a safe area. We had to be alert of our surroundings. I thought the hotel and price per night was decent. Our room was clean and the furniture was okay, but the hotel could use a little bit of updating. It was convenient for us that they had a restaurant.

Not one thing. Beds, staff, hotel. This hotel was one of the worst I ever stayed in. the beds were too small and the carpet was dirty although the pool was clean. This Howard Johnson room looked more like a motel room. I was not very happy.

The location of the hotel is very good. The staffs are almost hostile, poking fun on visitors if a complaint if forwarded to them. The staffs are not professional. It is a good place if one is not having a lot of money to spare. Very accessible and spacious if one wants to spend time in the room. The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly, non-smoking rooms smell of cigarette smoke, and staff noticeably unfriendly and poking fun on visitors if one raises a point.

Proximity to car rental drops off. It was sleazy. I would have hated to have to stay there for anything more than going to sleep and getting up the next day to leave.

It was close to the airport. It had a funny smell the furniture was dated. I didn't enjoy my stay in the Howard Johnson hotel it was a horrible hotel.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Extremely basic amenities/very tired facilities/crude and cheap. hotel is very basic and cheaply appointed. It disparately needs a remodel. $40 would have been an appropriate rate. It smelled of smoke, and the "lounge" was a counter with a couple bottles of Inglenook and Bud light in one corner of a grungy buffet restaurant.

The Chinese restaurant staff were friendly. The first thing I saw when I parked and got out of my car was a used condom in the parking garage. Desk staff were discourteous when I inquired about getting a refund and going somewhere else. Surfaces in room were filthy. Disgusting. Would not return. Easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in within California.
