Our stay was horrible!!! We spent 1 night here while travelling to Alberta and regreted every moment of it! We were travelling with a 12 month old infant and a dog! We were given a very noisy, dirty, smelly and old room on the 1st floor. We had called previously and asked about pet policy... and explained that our daughter has allergies to strong cleaners! We were assured that even though the room we would be staying was a pet room, it was clean and it shouldn't smell strongly of cleaners! Wow were they wrong!!! The room was horible! -The furniture was old and beat up. -The bed was old and even though they had a new pillow topper on it... when you sat on it, it completely squished down. -The carpet was all stained and dirty. -There were dust bunnies all over the place! -The bed spreads were stained and ripped. -The room smelt sooo strong of perfumed deoderizer spray that we could bearly breath when we walked into to the room! So there was no way that I was going to let my daughter play on the floor or even the bed! So what do you do with a little one who wants to play and crawl??? When I went to the front desk to ask about the state of the room... the clerk was flirting with 2 guys also staying there and was very snippy about her responses to me. Her responses: -The room was cleaned! -No cleaning staff on this evening... she could see if someone could come by in the morning!!! (Very helpful! Especially since we were checking out in the morning!) -It should smell strongly of cleaners because they didn't use any! (Hmm... yup I would agree with that...but instead they used deoderizer spray!!! Very smart!) And the crib that we were promissed when I booked a week in advance??? Not in our room, and the very friendly and helpful clerk at the front desks response? Ummm!!! Its on your booking form...so its in your room! Hmm.. obviously along with my sense of smell being off, I am also blind! After assuring her that it wasn't in our room, she said that she would have to find someone to look into it as she didn't know where they were kept! We ended up getting the crib long after our daughters bedtime! When we checked out, I explained our story to the person working, and was told that they couldn't do anything because the manager wasn't there! Since we had along way to drive yet, we had to leave and just count our loses! They said that someone would be getting ahold of me! Ya that never happend! So long story short!!! The price was expensive for a horrible stay!

Location was perfect/hotel very clean/very friendly staff. Hotel robes/bed was a little firm for our personal liking. We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I like the fact that you provided a sheet with highlights of Kamloops restaurants, very good idea. We would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express again.

"Only stayed one night, but liked this hotel very much. Especially the bed sheets and the towels were great, cosy, better than home! Breakfast included, that was nice. Room perfectly clear, would choose again, always!"

came to Kamloops to take our daughter home from TRU. The central location was great. Can walk to nice park or shopping or restaurants. Nice rooms and good breakfast. Good value. One negative was noisy heater in our room.
