My family and I travel through Wisconsin 4-5 times a year to see the inlaws near Rhinelander. Janesville is our half way point on the trip and have stayed at several different hotels in the area. The Holiday Inn Express is by far, the best hotel experience we had while staying in Janesville! Plush beds, 4 plush pillows on each bed, clean rooms Damons restaraunt next door great indoor pool for the kids and a nice hot tub for the parenst. happy hour from 5-7 we were pleasantly suprised but eve more surprised at the Continental Breakfast. Other Hotels make those two word, Continental Breakfast, sound bad, but let me tell you, with three small kids, this hotels puts uit an impressive breakfast. There were 3 happy kids and very very elated parents following breakfast. This will be our Janesville Hotel stop in the future! Tracy W, Fisher Ill

Comfort of king size bed and vent in bathroom. Some hallway noise from other guests but nothing terrible. Excellent place to stay and comfortable and right off the interstate very handy.

This is a great hotel. I stay here all the time & the staff never disappoints, make every effort to provide a comfortable room, with a fridge & microwave. Cookies in the evening & great breakfast in the morning. Lot's of choices of where to eat near hotel. Easy access to hotel and lots of parking. Stay with confidence at this property. It's a real nice place.

"The staff was wonderful, they had delivered our portable crib before we were even up to the room. The rooms were wider than standard hotel rooms and very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!"

Overall the Holiday Inn in Janesville was nice. The pool was average but we had to remind the staff 2 times to refill the towels. Our roomhad potential to be nice but when we entered, it reaked of smoke (we were in a non-smoking), I told the staff and they said they were aware of the problem and offered to bring a machine to make smell better. Now mind you, it is 10:00 at night when this was all happening so, my question is if they were aware of the smell, why didn't they do this machine thing BEFORE anyone checked in? And then when we to pull out the pull out couch, it was not made nor was there any bedding for it. So, once again our kids were delayed longer in going to bed for the staff to bring stuff up to us. The staff was very nice just not prepared. I think maybe they should have been thinking a step ahead instead of being a step behind.

Great location, just off I-90 in Janesville. No black-out blinds, so it gets bright in the room early. The hotel is easy to find, just off exit 171C off I-90/39 in northern Janesville. Lobby and other common areas are nice. The rooms are spacious, with a clean, big bathroom. All the normal amenities are included and they get a lot of TV channels. The only downer for me was that there were no blackout blinds, and we stayed on the east side of the hotel, so the sun made the room pretty bright by 6 AM. Aside from the free continental breakfast in the morning (which is good by usual hotel standards), there's no on-site dining, but there's 2-3 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, plus there's probably 10+ more within a 5-minute drive. All in all, Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite chains.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were really comfortable, we felt like we were sleeping at home in our own beds. Check in and check out was very quick and easy. Good location easy to find.

Very nice pool/fitness area. Room with 2 queen beds was just a bit crowded. Conveniently located just off I-90, pretty easy to find, and has all the usual accommodations you'd expect. The room was nice, but with 2 queen size beds it was a little small, but that's OK, I didn't spend much time in the room anyway. The showers are nice. One of the major reasons I always look for a Holiday Inn Express. The place has a very nice pool and fitness area, with a large hot tub that can probably seat up to 8-10 adults. There's no restaurant on site, but there are some good options within walking distance, and probably just about everything someone could want within a 5 minute drive. Had a pretty good breakfast spread, too? Overall nice and a very good deal for the price. Highly recommended.

It seemed safe and secure. Could have used a microwave and fridge. An excellent stay. I have paid far more for less satisfactory accommodations. We were very pleased with the staff and the facilities.

This hotel was in the midst of renovations on the floor we were staying. It appeared as though all new carpeting and furniture was going in. We didn't experience any noise or problems with this. The breakfast included a lot of variety.

Continental breakfast, pool, right off the interstate. It wasn't very clean, needed a lot of updating. The jets in our tub were so limed and rusted we wouldn't use it. For a holiday inn, it wasn't very clean past the lobby, and a lot of the fixtures in the bathroom including the tub were limed over and rusted. I was looking forward to the jets in the tub and it was too nasty to use. The staff and breakfast was nice, but the hotel needs better upkeep.
