Great pool, breakfast and also fast internet service.
Date of Stay:

Shower curtain had mold and shower ran out of hot water on Sat. morning; no ice machine on my floor; ice machine on adjoining floor seldom had enough ice to fill container. Elevator broke down -- glad I wasn't on it. Staff were friendly and did their best. Not enough resources to deliver a traditional Holiday Inn weekend.

we booked a 2 queen non smoking room. and got a 1 king with a sofa bed room. when we asked to be put back to the room with 2 queens we were told that the king room was an upgraded room. so we said " well down grade us back to the room we resurved" they said they couldnt do that they were full. note: we checked in at check in time, not late. we were never asked if we would be ok with a different room. they just took it apon there self to decide what room they wanted me to have. i would never stay here again. who wants to pay a hundred and some dollars to sleep on a sofa bed? not me !

We checked in about 3:30 in the afternoon and our room was not yet cleaned. We then went out to dinner after finally getting in our room. Neither key card worked upon our return-had to go to the desk to re-activate. The next eve, one key card quit working. The following morning I snuck out early to get some coffee. I had to awaken my family to let me in, as both key cards were de-activated. The room was o.k., but there were dirty fingerprints and smudges on the refridgerator and microwave from a previous guest-lots of them and very obvious. Also, the carpet in the hallway was filthy with many dirt spots, as well as either spilled food or vomit stains. (Hard to tell) It was in dire need of cleaning. I would not stay in this hotel again.

The bed was great so comfy. The room was clean and really great. Not to much bad to say. Great Stay. Very convenient to restaurants, and shopping. Nice place.

was a last minute decision to travel North on New Years Eve to see my Children, easy access and close to many many things in Traverse, staff was very friendly and helpful, I cannot say enough about the beautiful room I had and how CLEAN and comfortable it was!!! The pool and hot tub were very clean and seemed to be well maintained, we had planned breakfast out but when we went to get coffee we discovered a nice breakfast there, not your usual continental quick bites, biscuits and gravy and the works, Thank you for wonderful hospitality...I will be back..

This hotel was not our first choice, but when we come back to Wlliamsburg- it will be our only choice. The hotel location was great. The staff was always friendly and ready to help in any way. The bed and pillows were so comfortable...which is always a plus when travelling. The wireless service was free and easy to operate from our room. Even though construction was going on 100 yards from the hotel, you never could hear any noise from our room.Would have been nice to get a little lower price, but for the value, I think it was within range. The breakfast was always fully stocked and the sitting area was big enough for many people to eat at once. They even had a TV in the eating area for news or morning shows and then a smaller TV in separate area that had "kid friendly" programming. If you needed to check email, there was a computer in the sitting area (with printer) for your use. Parking lot was spacious and always easy to find a spot. The hotel location was near Colonial Williamsburg and only 15 minutes from Busch Gardens. Plenty of restaurants and entertainment nearby.Enjoyed the week in Williamsburg and the Holiday Inn Express was a great host.

Extremely clean room, convenient to restaurants and attractions. Sliding closet door with full length mirrors came off its track and was a safety hazard. Had to get hotel to reattach door to its track. A very clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel cleaning and maintenance staff people that we met doing their jobs at various locations in the hotel all smiled and said hello to us as we passed them. The hotel's complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. In fact it was better than one of the local restaurant's breakfasts. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

We frequently stay in Traverse CIty and this hotel is our favorite. The staff is great, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is much better than most similar hotels. My kids also love the small putting game in the lobby. There is no better hotel in this price range in the Traverse City area.

Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Maid was efficient. This is a good hotel located in the middle of the Williamsburg tourist area. Close to shopping, restaurants, attractions. I found it to be a great value. I definitely would stay here again and recommend it to anyone with up to 2 or 3 children. I don't think they have suites at this hotel.

Clean, quiet, centrally located to attractions and dining. Shower curtain did not fit well leaving bathroom wet, mold on bathroom wall. Overall I would select this hotel again. It was mostly clean and very comfortable. It is centrally located to the area attractions and good restaurants.

"I have stayed at this Holiday inn Express many times. It is always clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful, with lots of knowledge of the area. The hotel is a little ways from Downtown, but sits up on a hill overlooking Grand Traverse Bay! I would reccommend!"

We were surprised how nice the room was...beds had feather pads, four pillows per bed, comfy throws, newly done bathrooms, great shower heads, hot showers, free coffee machines, micro, refrig. ONe of the most comfortable places we have stayed in a while. Will definitely book this hotel again if we ever come back.

Comfortable beds. Completely thoughtless, disinterested clerk; understaffed, breakfast over 1 hr before scheduled Reasonably clean and centrally located, comfortable beds. Lousy cable and incompetent desk clerk. Not at all family friendly. Breakfast supposedly until 10 AM - over and cleaned up by 9. Not even close to the best off-season value in Williamsburg.

I have stayed here many times. They are always willing to assist me. The rooms are clean and breakfast is great.

This was a pretty decent hotel. We had two 10 year olds with us that just loved the indoor pool. The breakfast bar was decent but most of all, the location was great. Only a few minutes from Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Williamsburg and Jamestown with everything else in between. Staff was great and very friendly and although the ""suite"" we had was not the typical ""suite"" ( no seperate rooms or divider ) we did like the room. Very clean and always ready when we got back at the end of the day. With the price being right, we would stay here again.

I liked the size of the room and its accommadations. I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was very close to Colonial Williamsburg and was not hard to find. The room was nice and large and had a sofa bed in addition to the king-sized bed which is convenient since my wife and I have 2 young children. The refrigerator and microwave was very useful to us with all the baby food and formula we brought with us. I liked the free parking as well and the area felt safe.

Nice lobby. Nicefrom the outside but plain on the inside. Not worth.

"We go to Williamsburg every year, now with 3 sweet girls of under the age of10. The hotel was very accomodating, allowing us to stay across the hall from our good friends. The staff was great and the hotel was immaculate. We only stayed 2 nights, but would consider staying there in the future. Thank you for a great time!"

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and ofnice size. Nothing. I would recommend this hotel. Very nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and gave good directions for areas we needed to go. The continental breakfast was great. Hotel lobby was of nice size and comfortable. Definitely worth the money!
