We had an excellent room rate. The staff tried to be helpful, but they were young and inexperienced and most of the time they just didn't get it. They provided a good basic hotel room. The kids like to swim but they didn't on the first night because another guest had vomited in the pool. The staff did not post a warning, they depended on guests in the hot tub area to warn others, so they never actually closed the pool. It was cleaned the following day.

We greatly enjoyed the room, and the price! Although at first pass I thought the area seemed a little industrial, the hotel was very nice inside, and I felt secure about leaving the car in the lot. We enjoyed the room a great deal too - it was a big clean pair of rooms and was very relaxing. I appreciated the laundered sheets and blankets for bedding as opposed to some other hotels' sheets with a questionable coverlet. I would absolutely book a room at this hotel again. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning - it was a delight to have scrambled eggs and a hot cinnamon roll to get started in the AM (certainly more so than just the traditional cold breakfast).

If you book a room through this hotel expect no customer service and no attention to detail. I booked a room and though I cancelled in a timely manner got no refund. I would not reccomend this hotel to any one. And if you book through Travel online do not expect them to be of any help.

Terrible experience. Upon arrival we were given a room for smokers and we had requested a non-smoking room 2 months in advance when we paid for the hotel reservation. This was resolved after we complained at the front desk. Other issues made this a horrible experience! BAD BAD BAD!

Great room, very impressive breakfast, WiFi, andfriendly staff. We were very tired when we arrived and appreciated the hotel's suggestions for restaurants since we had no clue where anything was. Had a bit of a problem with the shower and the front desk was very helpful. Refilling the coffee urns - priceless!

The hotel was clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast foods were low quality. The Holiday Inn Express in Superior, WI is conveniently located near Lake Superior and the attractions on the lake. Our family of four comfortably fit in the room. I was disappointed at how over chlorinated the pool was, however.

This was a nice, clean hotel, very inviting and close to Lake Superior. Loved that they gave you two pillows each one soft and one firm. Our only complint was the room we were in, Room 202, must have been above the hot tub motor because at times our entire room would vibrate. But that wasn't a problem one the pool area was closed for the night.

It offers spacious rooms, very comfortable bed and very clean room. Toilet flushed itself every 10 minutes. Staff let kids run up and down the halls late into the night making it hard to sleep. The hotel is well situated in Superior WI near the harbor, a restaurant and attractions. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Staff is very pleasant. It is unfortunately not pet friendly which is why we don't stay there more often. It also does not offer Wi-Fi in the rooms which is discouraging to business travelers.

Thought it was over priced for the experience. Staff was friendly, room was ok. I have been in much nicer places and spent less money. Free internet is always great.

I thought the bathrooms were nice and clean. The coffee maker was disgustingly dirty, in the water area. The hotel was clean, easy to find, and nice. The staff was helpful. It was about a $20 cab ride back from Duluth, but split between 4 people was affordable. It was very easy to find, but if you have never been to Duluth or do not know your way around, I think staying in superior is not good.

The friendly staff; the pool, the continental breakfast; the locked entry doors. The garbage in the room wasn't emptied from previous occupants; signage on where to turn for the driveway. The staff were very friendly and good with the kids; offered up information about the pool, the doors being locked, the breakfast without having to be asked.
