This Holiday Inn did not have all the bells and whistles you would expect for the price. I could have stayed in a Days INN or Super 8 with better service. They did have a nice view of a lagoon and was close to Lake Erie and Cedar Point Amusement Park. Also lots of places to eat around the hotel. I can take vacation only 1 week out of the year and it would have been nice to eat a nice dinner at the hotel. Also thought I'd be able to relax in a hot tub (didn't work) and the pool area needed work. What would I say about the hotel..."It was ok nothing to write home about"

Location to Cedar Point. Swimming pool was cold. Hotel staff very friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean.

Just returned from a fishing weekend in Port Clinton. The Holiday Inn was in a great location to get to the charming shops and lighthouse in Marblehead, the ferries to the islands, East Harbor State Park, Port Clinton, and the highway. Excellent well-stocked free breakfast; comfortable beds; clean rooms. The Crow's Nest restaurant nearby was fun, with delicious food. Really worth the 3 star rating!

Staff was very frendly,Room clean, Free Shuttle to jet express to put in bay was fast and frendly. Room expensive, But expected for a holliday and tourist area. About 3 mi from Port Clinton.

When we check-in, we found our room didn't have a working Air Conditioner. We told the hotel staff the next morning assuming they would correct. When we got back to our room that night we found the hotel hadn't fixed the air conditioner. When we asked the hotel staff why our AC still didn't work they became defensive and rude. We moved locations the next day.

The hotel staff. The room was clean, quite and large enough to allow for a roll-a-way bed. The Breakfast Bar was quite good, compared to other places that I have stayed. Even though we arrived late, about 11:00 pm, the night clerk went out of his way to get us a room and the extra bed we needed, to allow the 5 of us a good night's sleep.

I stayed here one night on a business trip in Port Clinton. It was a a great night stay. When I asked for an extrra pillow, the staff was very accomodating and brought it tomy room for me. The beds were comfortable, great for a nights sleep and driving in the morning. The hotel had a very homey feel to it, even though I was hundreds of miles away from home. If coming to the area again I will deffinatley stay here no matter the cost!

My family (including four children) drove over four hours; we tried to check-in at around midnight only to find that they had given our room to someone else. The clerk's attitude was that there was nothing they could do. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you are planning on making reservations.

On the positive side, the hotel was nice and clean, room was comfortable and quiet. Good deal for the price and the location was nice as well. The only downside really was the size of the bathroom, very small.

Great breakfast andgood location.

Rooms and halls were fairly clean, Staff was friendly. After our first day excursion to Cedar Point Park, upon returning to our room, my wife noticed that ther bag was open. We didnt think anything of it until the next morning when my daughter discovered that 5 packages of her daily contact lenes were gone. The hotel staff was genuinly concerend and the head of house keeping told us that they had fired 7 people the day before.

Hotel was decent--typical for a 70-80 room, but definitely not worth the *. Pool area was disappointing. Pool was indoors without the benefit of sliding glass doors opening to the outside or for access to sunbathe. Hotel is on outskirts of Pt. Clinton and not on the lake. Way overpriced even for the location.

The hotel overall was a great hotel. It was clean. The sheets actually fit the bed. I loved the selection of pillows. The room could use a deep cleaning. Cobwebs on the ceiling but that was it. Staff was nice and the continental breakfast was the best I've ever had.

Loved the pool and the breakfast buffet. All of the juices tasted horrible; crying babies in the room next door. We're satisfied with the hotel for the money.

My husband and I decided to take our kids to Sandusky for Cedar Point, but when we found this hotel,we decided to saty here. The location was amazing. We took them over to Put-In-Bay and did some sight seeing before going to the park. And my husband also too all of us on Lake Erie and taught us how to fish. It was a cozy hotel and the staff was incredible. All of the amenities were great in helping make our stay more comfortable. Would certainly stay here again!

Yes the pricing is a little high for non season but the staff and overall feel for the place is great. If you think you'll find something nicer in the area ""YOU WON""T."" I attend a school in Port Clinton 2-3 times a year and always stay at the Holiday Inn. I have seem most other places and if you care about where you stay, stay here! Other class mates often tell horror stories of where they are staying to save a few bucks. It's not worth it for me. The breakfast is great, the rooms are clean and nice and the staff is like family! Trust me, in Port Clinton this is the place.

The Holiday Inn Express at Catawba Island was perfectly located for what we wanted to do. We went fishing and toured the local attractions and everything was a matter of minutes away. The front desk person was extremely helpful in pointing us in the right direction as well as giving us ulternative destinations. We even received a discount at some of the local resturants.

The staff was incredible. The hot tube was out of service. Great place to stay pool was awesome but the tub was down for repair! Great staff!

Location. Needs renovation; tiny TV. Good for a night's stay. Not the greatest place to choose if you are staying there for the whole day. Great location for Cedar Point and lots of small fresh fruit stands.
