Location. Have stayed here several times, but this time was disappointed in the room. No longer have comforters which I think cheapens the look of the room. New carpet is nice. Bathroom floor was dirty. No racks for towels therefore, staff placed towels on bathroom counter. Left no room for anything else. Holiday Express has cut corners but still charging a premium price. We are going to beach later in the summer. Have decided to try somewhere else.

My husband and I chose Holiday Inn Express for our last scuba trip because it was close to Express Watersports. It was a great place; close to shopping, restaurants, and Brookgreen Gardens. The staff was very courteous and helpful. we will definitely be back.

The cleanliness of the hotel. There was no WIFI and the Continental breakfast was not very good. The hotel was nice and clean and was in a good location. The staff was very pleasant. The Continental breakfast was disappointing, as it was not very good. I wish that the hotel had WIFI.

We called ahead to reserve a non-smoking single with a king-size bed and (probably because travelling in the off-season) received an upgrade to a suite - 2 bedrooms with dining/sitting area and a 2-person whirlpool tub. GREAT value for the money. Staff was very helpful with local dining options and directions. Only sorry our trip plans allowed only one night there.

Hotel was clean and very friendly workers. Icould not getWiFi in my room told the hotel about it however was never fixed.

My room was very clean, beds looked inviting with the white bedding. Quick check in, no problems at all with anything. I'm planning another trip in the near future and will stay here again.

The breakfast. The general manager was more than rude and not at all helpful to us. Much to our surprise the hotel was under construction and nothing about it was safe. There was trash everywhere, nothing was blocked off as dangerous areas, the refrigerator didn't work so all my food went to waste. The worst part of the hotel was the manager who had the worst attitude. We kept getting told there was nothing anyone could do and no one to get in touch with.

We originally booked a room with a king bed and jacuzzi tub but were given a surprise upgrade to a king suite when we checked in. THANK YOU! Our one-year-old daughter loved the extra room to run around in and we loved the room to spread out our stuff. Everything was very clean and well kept. The housekeeping staff were very polite, even though we held them up by staying in our room late into the morning. The breakfast was well stocked and the area kept clean; that was some of the best hotel coffee I've ever had. The location is great; we could access either Hwy 17 business or bypass easily and it's a quick drive to my in-laws' house. Towels are kept at the indoor pool so we didn't have to drag towels down when it came to swim time. I didn't use the exercise room but it looked nice, the equipment seemed to be in good condition, and the room didn't smell funny when I went inside to look around. This will definitely be our place to stay whenever we visit MB.

We had a non-smoking room and it was nice to not have any odors. There were plenty of pillows to watch TV. The beds are a little softer than I like. We have stayed in this hotel before and will most likely use this as our usual place to stay while in Murrells Inlet.

Excellent room, neat & clean, great continental breakfast, halls & lobby clean & attractive with comfortable lounge area. Great price that can't be beat for quality room. We were very impressed, very satisfied, & will gladly stay there again & recommend to others.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very warm and cozy. The bed matress was hard and the AC filter needed changing. Filter was changed upon my request. I enjoyed my stay. Would definitely stay there again. Next time I will upgrade to the room with the kids room so I can have the additional TV for them. The staff was friendly and professional.

Location and room decor. Can't think of anything. This hotel was very nice, decorated pretty. One thing I think would of been nice is to have a few benches outside the entryway. We had to wait for people but had nowhere to sit. Standing is difficult. A few benches outside would of been nice.

After traveling all night, they allowed my family and I to check in early. Nothing negative at all. The location was perfect, for us. There was hardly any traffic noise (an occasional load motorcycle or car) heard from the highway. And Murrells Inlet traffic was far less busy than down town Myrtle Beach. This was our first time in Myrtle Beach and if we return we will most likely stay at this hotel. Very close to Huntington State Park, which you do have to pay to get into, but the beach was less crowded. Fast food and Sit Down restaurants next to the hotel and a shopping center across the street.

The hotel was quiet and very personable. I added an extra day which caused my door card to stop working until reprogrammed. It was a well kept up hotel. You had to drive 20 minutes to get to myrtle beach, however, there was another beach that I had found closer. There were additional areas of dining for business associates and they had an updated news paper everyday. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Great location that suited my trip. Took to long to cool the room down. I picked this hotel for it's location during the Myrtle Beach Spring Harley-Davidson Rally.

Liked having a couch in the room. Main desk help was not too helpful and confused at checkout. Nice clean hotel, good breakfast bar with friendly attendant, convenient location, attractive room.

The staff was willing to change my room to a non-smoking room, even though they were not required to do so. No internet access in the rooms. This should be standard in this day and age. We have stayed at this hotel before and always find it to be clean, quiet and the staff to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. My only request would be that they enter the 21st century and install internet access in the rooms.
Date of Stay:
December, 2007
The room was so nice. The hotel housekeeping staff knocked on my door excessively. Good place to stay for a night or two.

My room was comfortable. It was better than expected. Locate near two highways. No public bus system. Taxi very expensive, no place to walk. A car is essential. The hotel was worth the price paid. Staff was friendly and attempted to locate information for me. My main problem with the hotel is the location. Its miles from anywhere. I went there because of the proximity to the National park and the Brookfield gardens. I thought I could use the public bus only to find out it only travels every 4 hours, if at all. Never did see the bus. I never got to either the garden or to the National park. It is essential to have a car. They even have drive-in pharmacies. Due to the location the hotel did not meet my needs.

Suites were spacious and clean. Parking was a bit awkward and did not connect well with entrance.
