Chicago's southeast side is not exactly the greatest neighborhood; but if you need to be near Midway airport for that early morning flight, this location is perfect; only a couple of minutes away on the main road. So close in fact that I was worried that jet noise might disturb my sleep; but that didn't happen. Rooms new and clean, and staff courteous and responsive. Wish they'd had an in-hotel market, though, for forgotten toiletries and so on. They advertise wireless Internet access, but I found the transmission quality on the 2nd floor to so variable as to make it essentially unusable. A couple of Internet terminals are available in the business center near the lobby, though.

Good living arrangement in the first floor suite. Not particularly aesthetic, but very utilitarian. I found a hair in one of the clean towels that did not belong to me. Elegant without being over-the-top. Extremely friendly staff.

Our troop just spent 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Express by Midway Airport. The hotel has a free shuttle that operates 24/7 to and from the airport. Transportation to the city is easy from Midway. The hotel staff was great, the rooms were clean and the free breakfast was very good. This hotel was a great value and we would definitely stay here again.

It was fine, but I wouldn't stay there again. There are quite a few other, nicer, newer hotels on the same property that would have been a more comfortable stay. Not that it really mattered, but the tv was old, the sheets were rigid, and the bed was hard. It was fairly clean and the shuttle service was reliable. The front desk staff wasn't rude, but they weren't overly friendly.

I was disappointed to find out that I had to pay to park.

I made my reservations online, received exactly what I reserved. The room was clean and the location is convenient.

I've stayed at very nice hotels, all booked online through a discount site. This 1 was a bit average for the price but I think that's because of the area. I had a great time riding around, eating downtown and even had my 1st horse & carriage ride. I loved it!!!

If you ask locals about restaurants, there are great places to eat within a few miles. Convenient to Midway Airport and plenty of nice hotels to choose from in the complex.

Hotel was fine, room door lock didn't work properly and the staff was very non-committal about fixing it. Parking fees were added to the bill without an explanation. Room was clean and bed was nice. It's a good place to sleep, but not a place to stay for a vacation.

Friendly staff, lots of pillows, comfortable beds, attractive. Nothing. When we arrived at the hotel, they were overbooked. The hotel clerk was very helpful in getting us booked into another hotel for the same price. The Holiday Inn was very clean and inviting. We ended up staying at the Mariott. Both staffs was friendly and helpful. The room at the Mariott was wonderful.

The hotel is convenient via the shuttle to the airport for either flights or the L.The Holiday Inn sits in airport hotel complex with about six other hotels. The room was fine but a little dank smelling. The desk clerks were all pleasant and helpful as were the shuttle drivers. Good cable tv.

Well I really thought I was getting the continental suite; but orbitz miss understood what I wanted. All-n-All the Whirlpool Suite was ok. I wanted to invite my family to visit for a few, but there was no place for them there.

We were allowed to check in 3 hours early. Not enough restaurants within walking distance. Very clean, nice hotel. Free 24-hour shuttle to airport, and complimentary light breakfast.

Shuttle service to the airport made getting downtown easy without having to drive. Room was nice, as was the free breakfast.

Liked the friendly staff very well, was addressed with respect from the desk clerk who greated us by our names the next morning & she was very caring about our stay(thanks for special order of the snow!) the breakfast was very, very good no need to run out for breakfast.

The friendliness of the staff, the convenience of the location to the airport and nearby restaurants. The ability to use the computer to retrieve our. It was all good and I forgot to mention the great service of the shuttle. Clean, quiet, friendly and comfortable. Definitely lives up to its reputation. A very family friendly hotel, everyone feels welcome and greeted with enthusiasm.

"Clean, Modern, Friendly and quiet at night. Stayed for 5 nights, exceptional staff, very helpful. Room was equipped with all amminities needed and the breakfast they offered had a large selection of fresh fruit, rolls, cereal, juice and coffee, best I've seen for ""free"". Over all a great place to stay and would return ."

I was very pleased with the quality of the service and facility. The hotel is conveniently located near airport. I also appreciated close proximity to Starbucks.

The business center was convenient. Bedroom had no privacy (French see thru doors), hot water knob not working, cookout table vs. A conference table, too expensive for what I received. I paid for a two room suite. I received a bedroom, with French doors. You could see everything going on in my bedroom. It gave me no privacy to the guest that sat in the living room. Absolutely, no privacy. I needed a conference table; I received a cookout fold away table. This was not acceptable to my standards. I tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. I called the front desk and they dispatched the mechanical engineer. The engineer comes to my room and tells me that I have to turn the knob to cold for hot water and turn the knob to hot for cold water. He said that he would have the part to fix it by Monday. In the meantime, I have to go to the room across the hall to use the shower for hot water. Totally unacceptable. I believe that I totally over paid for what I received and I am very unhappy.
