This hotel was close to the air port and was easy to find. It has a scenic view that is within a few short miles to shopping. I really enjoyed my stay at this plush hotel. The breakfast was a full menu selection. The pool is inside and is heated. This hotel is highly recommended.

I felt the cost was high for a Holiday Express, but it was clean, safe and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the location of my room was good. When back in this area, I would stay at this hotel again.

Staff was friendly and professional. Rooms were clean and pleasantly decorated. The location is excellent for families visiting Humboldt State Students. They have an outstanding free breakfast with a do it yourself BelgianWaffle maker that my family enjoyed tremendously. We will stay here every weekend there is an HSU home football game.

We were really impressed with the quality of service and the spaciousness and the appointments of the room. Having stayed at other Holiday Inn Expresses before, we expected a cut-rate motor hotel but this was not the case. The lady who checked us in was very observand of our welfare. She managed to place us in a lovely room an hour early so we could dress for the weddng reception we planned to attend. Later when our plane was delayed, she invited us into the comfortable hotel lounge to wait with warm drinks. This person was the blond young woman who was on duty when we arrived (11:00 AM 4/7) and checked out (12:30 PM 7/). We would definitely stay at this hotel again and hope that the hotiers will reward this kind young woman at the desk.

The staff and management of this property need hospitality training. I did not feel welcome from the second I walked in loaded with bags. The hotel could not have been 10% occupied during our visit judging by the empty parking lot, and immediately we were told to go back out to the car and put a parking pass in the window?? Keep in mind we are on the north coast of California, where the allure is the relaxed atomosphere. Next I had to list by first and last name everyone in our room, even though we (my wife, 8 yr old, and myself) were standing in front of her. I asked her to put in my priority rewards number and she said that I would have to do it next time!? Next morning asked for a priority club late check out, and was told I was not in the priority club. I gave her the number and she said she would call back after she called headquarters to verify that. After calling back only moved check out to noon, even though I have never had any HI Express do anything less than 1PM. She told me (different person now) that she was trying send her housekeeping staff home, so if we "could get out sooner, (she'd) appreciate it."

They go the extra mile for their guests. Wonderful! The room was very clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast was great. It was a full breakfast bar, not just a roll and juice. My husband and I were on a motorcycle and this hotel is on the coast so very damp outside in the morning. We were shocked and thrilled to find a stack of towels at our bike to wipe the seats off with when we went to get on it!! We notice that every bike in the place was provided this above and beyond courtesy!! We will definitely go back again!!

The staff gives 110% to make sure you are comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding with a pleasant lady who will see to your every need. These people make you feel like family. I make three to four trips a year to this area and I would not consider staying anywhere else. Yes it costs a little more but you do get value for your money. From the airport pickup service to front desk personnel just plain great people working hard to take care of you.

Traveled to Eureka to visit family and traveled to Patrick's point. Good central location in that regard, however, food options were limited. Loved the breakfast and pool area was clean and water was at a comfortable temperature.

We went sightseeing at the Redwoods and Beach. Everything was perfect, the food, the people, the room, the rental car and most of all ambience.

It was quiet and clean. We don't get away very often, so when we do we look forward to a good experience with our hotels. This was a great place to stay and we will stay there again in the future. It was centrally located for us, very clean and easy access to our rooms.

Holiday Express Hotel is visible from the airport - comforting for the weary traveler. No noise problems because of planes. Our reason to travel was to take part in the Ave. of the Giants Race on 5/3/09. As seniors, we did the 10K and enjoyed every minute...especially since the sun shone on race day. We explored all the sites between McKinleyville to south of the Avenue of the Giants. The sights, smells, sounds of this glorious area are therapeutic, delightful and tear provoking in their beauty. The people in this area are talented, friendly, and have the time to share with anyone who smiles at them. Peace - is perfect name for this part of Humbolt County. Thank you for a great week-end.

The check-in staff was very ill prepared and/or trained. Check in was a very stressful experience, the front desk staff was not sufficiently trained and handled phone conversations to the point of ignoring the guests. The rooms were not ready at 5:30pm and the front desk clerk kept leaving the front desk to help housekeeping finish the rooms.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast bar was wonderful. I would stay at this quiet hotel again.
