We were visiting Lake Chautauqua and wanted an affordable room that was family friendly. The Holiday Inn Express - Lake Findley fit the bill, however minor issues existed that keep me from giving a higher satifsfaction score. The elevator was broken, so we always had to take the stairs (somewhat a challenge when traveling with young kids... lots of bags and bed rails needed to be carted up and down). The room was large and the bathroom was nice, but the beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were much too thick. There was only one restuarant in the area that happened to be in the hotel parking lot. It was a true greasy spoon with food that was just o.k. The pool was decent, but had weird hours. The fitness center was a bit of a joke, but for this trip, it wasn't used anyway. The hotel did offer a free continental breakfast that was well stocked with cerals, milks, oatmeals, juices, breads, bagels, and some fruit. Overall, the minor issues weren't that big of a deal and we would probably stay again based on the price, but I would say that the experience was just o.k.

Clean and nice rooms. Not a very good breakfast. This hotel is very clean and great for business travelers. The Breakfast is not very good and should be improved.

First time to the area and had a great experience at this hotel - will come back again. One of the cleanest and friendliest places I have been to. Breakfast was very good. Not too far from shopping.

I spent a night here returning home from a trip to Chicago & Michigan. The hotel is a nice one overall and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn Express fare (good). But, if you're thinking about an "Executive Suite," don't expect to get a two-room suite. You'll get more space and a sofa, but you won't get a separate bedroom. Also, just a warning to light sleepers: the walls are a little on the thin side. You'll know if your neighbors are in their rooms, but at least you won't hear their conversations.

Clean room, friendly front desk, well maintained breakfast area. Parking - cars pulling trailers were allowed to take up close - in parking spaces, while parking for trucks/trailers was clearly marked. Very well maintained hotel with a friendly staff, just a few exits away from shopping and dining.

Stayed here for a weekend trip to visit relatives. The hotel is clean and front desk is friendly. Pool was nice, but would be small-feeling if too many people were in there. I like that the hotel chain has done away with the nasty hotel coverlet and has labeled the pillowcases with "soft" and "firm". Made it easy to pick the right pillow! Location wise, there is not much around as far as restaurants. We did get a good recommendation for dinner on the first night that was a very family friendly spot on the lake (a B&B). That was quite nice. We will stay again if given the opportunity!

Close to Erie. Great place to stay if you are looking to go to Peek Peak or Erie.

Nice, clean, quiet hotel. A bit out of the way if you're visiting Erie proper but it's worth the drive.

Easy to find, well maintained, deluxe continental breakfast. No internet for guests to use in lobby or business center. Well maintained, friendly staff, deluxe continental breakfast, does not provide a guest computer with internet access in case you are traveling without your laptop. Rooms do have internet access.

Please don't tell anyone about this hotel because we want to keep it to our selves. If travelling through Erie, stay away - go somewhere else - please respect our privacy and comfort!

The kindness of the hotel staff. We were totally satisfied! We stay at this hotel one to two times a year and they continue to do a fantastic job. They have expanded the "free" breakfast selection, the front desk staff is very professional and accommodating and the location is ideal.

They have a wonderful breakfast. The shuttle bus had a very nasty smell of cig. Smoke. The staff was very friendly. Very close to ski slopes at a great price.

The complimentary breakfast was the best I have had in any hotel anywhere and the entire staff was exemplary. Nothing not to like. This was without doubt the most pleasant hotel stay I've enjoyed in years. Even the suggestion of a local eatery was, for the area, was tops. The entire staff, reception, as well as breakfast staff could not have been more efficient or friendlier. Would stay again even if I had to go out of my way to do it.

The room was immaculate and very well appointed. Light in bathroom was insufficient to put on make up, etc. The holiday inn express is an immaculately maintained hotel with very comfortable, spacious rooms and easy access to the freeway. The free breakfast buffet was an excellent value with decent choices of cereals and breads. The only negatives were: 1) there is only one entrance, requiring a long walk with luggage, etc. When checking in/out; and 2) hotel needs a sign at the entrance road, as it's easy to miss this entrance and end up instead on the freeway service road, requiring a lengthy detour on the freeway to get back. It's quite hard to see, esp. At twilight.

The room was huge and it had all the amenities. The pool was pretty much dominated by kids the whole time of our stay. We enjoyed our stay, the location was great because we had a family reunion in Corry, PA. The next day and it's only a 1/2 hr drive there. The room pretty much had everything we required. We didn't get to enjoy the pool because there were a lot of kids in it all the time, maybe a schedule could be made for adult swim times.

Location. Bed linen reeked of detergent odor, couldn't sleep. Can't recommend this hotel due to the bed linen smelling on detergent.

Excellent location and overall fantastic. I can't. This hotel was one of the nicest 2 stars that I have stayed at. It deserves a 3 star! The check in was smooth, the rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the free breakfast was great.

king suite with pull out couch and breakfast included Prices don't seem as good anymore; left pool because it was extremely chaotic Hotel was very nice for a family to stay in, very convenient.
