I have been to this facility a few times, I am always impressed with the lifeguard staff. Knowing my children (4 and 6) are safe makes it enjoyable for all. I've been to some pools that make you wonder if the lifeguard is even awake. These lifeguards are always moving. The park is smaller than some, but perfect for this age. If you have young children I would recommend this park as the number one choice! I was amazed at the cleanliness of the park, the food was not nearly as overpriced as what I expected from a tourist spot, much less than other parks I have been to and DELICIOUS! The rooms are spacious. And I found specials on line at their website. I'll be checking that regularly so we can return, again and again! The staff here is doing a great job!

Very much a family type place but still focused on comforts. Nice sized rooms with plenty of space at table area. With in walking distance to many resturants so choice of eating was great. Easily accessible from the highway. Within walking distance to Cabellas. Water park very nice for the kids. Price very reasonable for a family to go.

The amenities for the children & the quiet atmosphere of the area. The color scheme in the rooms andcolors needed to be updated. All in all the hotel was very nice. The amenities for the kids I loved and they enjoyed themselves. I did not eat in the pub but I like the way it over looked the splash park. The atmosphere wasrelaxing, polite and very helpful.

This is one of the best water park facilities I have stayed at. The water park is smaller than many other parks (Great Wolf Lodge and etc.), but the size allowed me to keep a close eye on my children. The staff was wonderful; very friendly and helpful. The lifeguards were very attentive, for what for the most part is a boring job. When we stayed on Halloween they had a Haunted House and crafts for the kids to do. We had a bunk room and there was plenty of splace for my family to move around. There was even a separate TV for the kids. The room and hotel was very clean, I always saw someone walking around sweeping or wiping off glass. You do have to make sure you book the water park package to swim in the park, but the extra money is worth it. I will definately be coming back with my family and would recommend this hotel and water park to anyone coming to this area.

I just stayed at the Splash Universe in Dundee Michigan. My kids and myself had a wonderful stay. I decided to read some of the reviews on this page, and found them disturbing. The waterpark is not an extra charge at all. The nice man at the front desk explained it all to us like this. Since it is a Holiday Inn/Waterpark Resort you have one of two options. You can either book a basic room like every other holiday inn in the united states, or you can get a room that includes the waterpark package. Since not every person that stays at the hotel is going to be using the waterpark, it would be a huge loss for the company to include it with every room. The staff was delightful, and the ammeneties were pretty nice. Although this is a little overpiced (what isn't) the fact that it is close to home made it worth the price. The food at the restaurant was average, but everyone there was extremely friendly. Oh and my room that was the Family Suite had a private bedroom for me and the missus. Excellent hotel.

Waterpark is not included had to pay over 100 more for that option. Hotel lost a paper with all my credit card numbers on it. They needed this at time of check in. If you want to use the waterpark the day you arrive and you arrive before 4 you have to check in twice. Checkin waiting time was over 2 hours total. There were no lockers left to lock up purse, keys. etc while you used the park and were waiting for checkin time to roll around so you could get into a room. We had to wait over a 2 for our feed in the pub and grub sit down eatery they have at the hotel. After we got the food it was cold and awful. The whole experience there was terrible. I was trying out the place for a potential birthday party there but after this weekend's experience. I am never going back there. Holiday corporate shoud do something to fix this hotel's issues. It would be a good place if they would be more organized and get there act together. This was not a relaxing time.

Outdoor theme, very clean and nice and friendly. No whirl pool, pool too small. Very close to Cabela's, very nice, excellent breakfast would highly recommend.

We currently heard of the new waterpark next to the Cabells store (favorite spot for sportsmen). We had three couples with children of all ages (2-17), both set family suites were excellent. There was plenty of space for 6 people. The other couple had a queen suites with four people and had more than plenty space. It is very kid friendly. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The lifeguards are excellent. Do get the waterpark package its worth the extra. We were able to walk to cabells and lone star resturant. The hotel has a wonderfull continental breakfast that has a lot to offer. Welll worth the price. We will return.

The hotel was furnished nice. It was fun to have the popcorn and cookies for the kids. The hall ways were stuffy and the smell of smokers filled the hallway by our non smoking room. Over well we had a nice stay. I am finding the new hotels are putting in small swimming pools. It takes the fun out of swimming with the kids.

Being an avid traveler iI have been to many facilities that have waterparks within their hotel complex's. This is the first one that I have encounted that charges a seperate admission to use the waterpark. Overall the hotel was just ok, nothing spectacular. If you book a room make sure you get a waterpark package or you will have to pay a seperate fee weh nyou get there
