Deskclerk [...] was very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable of the area. We were in Boston for an event at the TD Northbank Center (new "Garden") which is located across from the hotel. This made for a less stressful visit because we didn't have to battle traffic and find our way around Boston. My major complaints are the lack of proper air ventilation/inefficient air conditioning system; breakfast ends at 9:30 am, too early for someone visiting. All staff were very friendly, helpful, courteous and respectful. Kudos on the dedication of the staff! It was noisy; however, the hotel is not responsible for the City of Boston continually digging up the city's streets. It is the nature of the beast.

Close to north end Boston. No on site parking. Room was nice and spacious.A little noisy out on street parking was 2 blocks away.

Been here several times. Right across the streat from N. Station & Boston Gardens. Friendly, helpful staff. Free breakfast buffet. Nice size rooms, tho a bit dated. Free internet in the smallish lobby. Parking (paid) at nearby lots. Not luxury, but comfortable and very reasonably price. My first choice these days in Boston.

The lack of service at the hotel was somewhat problematic. I became quite ill on my trip and needed to go to an emergency room or urgent care clinic. The front desk staff members were of no help, and in fact, were quite rude.

The woman at the desk was very helpful. Great location, as we were attending a concert at the garden, and close to where we ate dinner. Friendly staff, and clean room. We would love to stay here again.

This place is great if you can get it for cheap. Its not worth paying over 110, only because the rooms are not that great. It is in the best location if your coming to Boston for a social reason. Its close to every bar in the downtown area. Its also really close to the TD Banknorth Garden. Its really close to the Subway and bus lines so you can stay here if you have to travel outside the city as well. The only problem is that you can feel a draft and also hear the people outside the building in the street as it is next door to a bar. As a whjole its a great deal for the money, but not for kids for sure.

We went for my sister's bachelorette party. It was in a great location, walking distance to Fanuel Hall. The hotel staff was great, they mentioned that the AC didn't work, we thought it would be fine with the windows open but it was still really hot, part of our group canceled their room. Everything would have been fine if the AC worked. The rooms were updated and clean. We needed more towels but the cleaning staff wasn't in so we had to wait until they got in to get towels.

Proximity to TD Banknorth garden. Bars and street surrounding it loud not great spot for kids.

This was our first trip to Boston. We were really just looking for an inexpensive room to sleep and shower in. If that is all you need, this is your place! It is close to North Station and the North End. We and our friends decided we are glad we payed less to stay there than one of the more expensive hotels that we wouldn't have spent any time in!

Hard to find, but great location since we were going to a Bruins Game at the Garden. There was no flag out front.. just a banner up on the building that we almost drove right by. It was clean inside though and the room was surprisingly very spacious with a nice bathroom. It was a bit noisy as we were right above a couple of bar/restaurants. Parking is a little tricky... we had to make sure the hotel discount rate was applied for our '24 hours' for our hotel stay and then prorated for additional time that we were parked. They were trying to charge us for an addt'l 24 hours in the Gov't Ctr Garage.

The bed was comfortable. Parking is way too expensive at this hotel. Hotel is moderate, but fee breakfast is nice.

I came in all excited about my 2-day trip to Boston, and this hotel was at odds with all my previous traveling experience, beginning with the warning they gave me at check-in that the air conditioning was broken for the whole building and that I had 2 choices: 1) stay and they are working to have it repaired by morning OR 2) stay at another local hotel nearby Not familiar with the area and it being late and crowded at the start of a Celtics game in the neighborhood, I opted to stay, especially since the lady at front desk gave me the impression that it was not that hot (if I open the window-- also they upgraded me to a suite) and that they will promptly get the AC running in the morning. I was pleased with their attempt to make me feel at home. But after a hot night of tossing and turning till morning 10am, I could note bare it and wanted to check out that hour (a day early) expecting to get charged for 1 night and possibly receiving an apology. They charged me for both nights with no hesitation or class and told me that I went through a 3rd party (Orbitz/CheapTickets) and that they had no obligation to refund anything. In addition, they did not acknowledge or consider the circumstances with their broken AC and told me that they gave me a choice and I chose to stay. One would think that in the hospitality world, they would want you to stay and even return to their hotel. But the front desk and manager took advantage of my full 2-day reservation without even apologizing about the situation. It was like suffering at their hotel for 1 night then getting slapped for deciding to stay after they warned me, really odd! FYI, I've stayed at countless hotels in developing countries around the world and can't recall a similar experience, never would have imagined this happening in the US. Final words: Find another reputable hotel, even if it means paying more for it. Also be sure to call them directly to ensure everything is in working order.

It was never mentioned that there was an additional $30 fee to park 2 blocks from the hotel. Very inconvenient The hotel itself was not bad. We had a nice modern room. Additional $30 to park (2 blocks away).

It was very nice. Room temperature. It was very nice and moderate which you don't expect from the out side. The only problems I had it was there was no sign out side walked up and down the street couldn't find it had to call them to see where they where located. The other couldn't get the room temperature hot enough. Besides that I will go back there in the future.

It was close to the part of Boston we wanted to visit and close to the transit station. It was in a poor neighborhood with a raucous bar just across the street. We were disappointed. The noise from a neighboring bar precluded sleep until after 2:00 a.m. on each night. The block in which the hotel was located was dirty and smelled of urine. While the hotel itself was "o.k." the immediate environment was most unattractive.

Inexpensive and close to downtown Boston and the T. Bed was very small; front desk on second floor. We did not feel as safe when we entered the hotel and had to wait for an elevator to the 2nd floor front desk.
