The hotel is not within walking distance of historic Annapolis but it is within a 5-10 minute drive. We stayed for a race that started at the Navy stadium and had plenty of parking and visited some gardens and parks in Annapolis but I wouldn't recommend staying here if your main goal is to see historic Annapolis. It's a pain to park down there during peak times(nice summer weekends). Of course you can park a little further out and walk in. The hotel was nice and really clean. There was also a Whole Foods next door with an enormous salad/buffet bar so easy to get food at a decent price if you need something quick.

The hotel was under some renovation. The walls at the hotel are fairly thin, so we could here our neighbors. The room has a cramped feeling, way too much furniture in the room.

The hotel is situated in such a way that if you aren't coming in from the correct direction, there is no way to turn into the hotel. We drove around four times before getting into the parking lot. It is also situated right next to a cemetery, which was kind of weird. The hotel was under construction due to water damage, which was not noted when I booked the room. I accidentally booked a smoking room and was unable to get it changed, but would have been charged a whole night's stay to have canceled, and since we paid online they wouldn't let us pay for an upgrade to a non-smoking suite, which they did have available. When we got there, the first room we were given had a family of ants in the bathroom. We were moved to a second room that was freezing cold and the heater didn't work and they had no maintenance or housekeeping people working to help fix it. We were moved to a third room where we ended up staying. It reeked so badly that even the stuff in our suitcase (which we kept closed as much as possible) ended up smelling of stale smoke. I chose a Holiday Inn Express because they're usually pretty nice, but I guess that is just the new ones, not older hotels that have been converted to one. On the plus side, the girl at the front desk was very nice and truly did seem to be trying to do what she could to help us find a satisfactory room.

I stayed in a suite with a jacuzzi tub. The tub was great and a good size. The suite was only an additional * when I booked the room. The room was large and clean. I had a nice view of the cemetery next door. The road to the entrance goes one way and I had to keep passing it and making u-turns to get in. The continental breakfast sucked and stay away from the cinnamon buns. It was nice place but the jacuzzi made up for a lot.

the staff who checked us in was very un-accomodating. that very person also lied to me when i requested for a specific room fronting the parking lot.... when i later was informed by some friends also stayiong in that very same hotel (we were in annapolis for the same reasons- to attend the same event)that there was an available room with the specific room i was asking for. several people i knew checked in later than me... and they were given the exact same room i was requesting for. when io came down to the dining area the next morning, the night staff at the front desk offerred me to change roomsto the one i was originally requesting the day before when i checked in......( can you imagine the inconvenince i had to go through?) meaning the room i was originally requesting the day before was in fact available but the lady who checked us in just didnt want to be bothered.

The breakfast, the room, lobby, employees, etc. It was very nice and I have traveled and stayed in quite a few hotels before but I think this one tops them all. But I would recommend staying there.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Suites was wonderful! The staff at the hotel was so freindly and helpful! My room was great, it was comfortable, and clean, and the breakfast each morning was a terrific plus! I would stay here again if I were in the area without a hesitation! Thanks, Holiday Inn, it was a pleasure to be in your hotel!

This is a Holiday Inn Express. The webpage said Days Inn. We spent 30 minutes looking for a Days Inn until I called them in frustration and discovered the change. We reserved a nonsmoking room. The room had a ""no smoking"" sign. It also had ashtrays and smelled terrible. The A/C barely worked. The room was stuffy and stank all night. My clothing in my luggage even smelled the next day. The staff response was to give me a card to call the manager when he/she got in. Go somewhere else; don't stay here.

They offered a free breakfast. Difficult entrance into driveway. The hotel and it's accommodations fine. The access to the hotel from the road if your on the opposite side of the highway is difficult.

upon checking in there was a little confusion on paying for the room. Upon getting the room it was on the first floor the last room at the end of a long hallway which had an odor. The room was small even though I had ask for a king bed & no smoking, there was even a stronger smell. Also when looking out the one window there was no view. After going back to the checkout desk the clerk was nice enough to upgrade me to a suite at no extra charge on the second floor. The room was great and I slept like a baby.

Rooms and hotel staff were nice. Location is horrible. No access to the hotel without making an illegal and dangerous U-turn. Hotel and staff were as expected from a Holiday Inn property. However, the location to horrible! There is literally, no access to this property without making an illegal and dangerous U-turn. Hotel is very visible from the road, but very difficult to get to.

Very good breakfast bar. Extremely small bathroom, almost unusable, very damp room that felt clammy all the time. The hotel was quite new, but bathroom was nearly unusable it was so small. The door blocked the tub, had to bend over the sink & toilet to see mirror. Also the room was clammy & damp no matter how we adjusted the heat AC.

Very clean, great breakfast. Rooms were lovely but on the small side. I would go back again. Really a nice experience.

It was very comfortable and the rooms were nice. Hotel staff was very unorganized and rude. It is not somewhere I would stay again based on my experience with the staff and the difficulty getting in and out of the property. I believe it has been recently renovated and my non-smoking room smelled like smoke and left all belongings smelling of smoke. More ideal for a business trip than a leisure trip.

Overall excellent, room was exceptionally clean, friendly staff. Nothing. It was everything I expected. The hotel was an excellent value. Compared to the other hotels in the area, the room rate was cheaper, but the room was clean, the staff friendly and it was conveniently located right off the freeway and a short drive into downtown Annapolis.

Lots of parking - 2 miles from historic center. I had a smoker's room.
