June, 2009
I was in Tampa for a week interviewing for a job. I was there between June 21-27, 2009. I needed to be close to Veterans to have easy access to Town and Country as well as S. Tampa. The location couldn't have been any better as it was close to everything (Apt hunting-Westchase/Carrollwood, airport, etc.) The complimentary morning breakfast was real convenient and a good variety of food (cereal, bagels, muffins, bananas, eggs and juices). I also enjoyed the fresh cookies they made everyday that they offer at the front desk. The hotel has a W/D if you need to do self laundry which I thought I would use but didn't. The pool area was very nice, clean and relaxing. I only made it out to the pool area once as I was there on business. The hotel has Northern exposure so when the sun starts to set the pool area no longer receives any sun b/c the building blocks it. I would say this would happen around 6pm even though the sunsets weren't until 830ish-9pm when I there. I brought my labtop for the wireless and it worked great the first day. As I read from other reviews who had internet problems, this seems to be only if you are above the first floor- which I was on the 4th floor. I think this was my only real issue as I needed to use internet to look for apartments in the evenings. If you let your computer go onto the screen saver or hibernation mode.. you will have to disconnect from the wireless connection and reconnect everytime- which got VERY annoying. And when the internet did work on the 4th floor- it was NOT high speed (although the first day I was there it worked fine). They do have 2 computers on the first floor to use with a printer if you need them.. which I eventually used as my patience after 5 days of slow/no internet took a toll. All in all, I would definitely stay there again and its really everything you need.

Clean and free hot breakfast. Limited exercise equipments. I was pleased with the quality and cleanliness of this hotel. The hot breakfast each morning was a great start to the day.

My stay was only for one night, and I didn't use any amenities, so I'll focus on the room and location. The location is great--close to the airport (TIA), across the street from a movie theater and restaurants, centrally located in Tampa. The bed was super comfortable and everything was clean. The carpet looked old, but overall, the room was excellent. Also, the front desk was nice--nicer than a lot of front desks that I have encountered.

We stayed here as it was close to the Tampa airport for our 6 AM flight home. The check-in was quick & friendly. Lots of parking available. We were on the 1st floor but it was away from the front desk so it was quiet. There is a large variety of restaurants right across the street for easy dining. We ate at Boston's Pizza Bar & Grill, which you can see directly across from the hotel. The wireless internet worked flawlessly & my teen got to catch up on her email. The room included an iron w/ironing board, lots of hangers plus all the bathroom extras like shampoo, conditioner & lotion in addition to the bath soap. Slept great on the comfy beds! We didn't use the fitness room but it looked nice. The pool is outside but it was too chilly to use in Feb weather. Overall, would highly recommend to anyone!

I was very pleased with my 4 night 5 day stay. This property had some of the best customer service of any place I have stayed. This includes the front desk and room staff as well as the grounds crew and maintenence. The breakfast buffet was very well stocked and very clean.

The Holiday Inn Express-Tampa-Anderson Road was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. It's probably about 10-15 minutes from Busch Gardens, but it is in a nicer area than the hotels nearer the park. The fitness room was small but clean. We didn't use the pool, because we didn't have time. My wife and I have two girls, so we stayed in a standard two-queen bed room. The bed was very comfortable. I also liked the walk-in shower instead of a standard tub. The only negative I can think of was there was no waffle iron at breakfast. I love those self-serve waffle irons.

The hotel was clean, secure and convenient to the airport and my ultimate destination. They were repaving the parking lot while we were there. The hotel is clean, attractive and close to the airport. The continental breakfast was more than sufficient with a variety of choices.
