Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, a 4-time recipient of the Intercontinental Quality Excellence Award, is ideally located on Route 9 in the center of the Five College Area in the Pioneer Valley. UMass Amherst, Amherst College, Smith College, Mt. Holyoke College and Hampshire College are all within 2.5 to 9.8 miles. All guestrooms have either 1 king bed or 2 queen beds with ample work space and feature complimentary Wi-Fi, free local calls, voicemail, expanded cable TV, hairdryer, iron/board and coffeemaker. In addition to standard rooms, the hotel has different upgrade room types available including the Empire and Presidential Suite. Business Class rooms are located on the third floor, which is entirely non-smoking and have a microwave and minifridge. King Executive rooms are larger rooms with an archway, sofabed and small kitchenette w/ sink, microwave and minifridge. Queen Suites are corner rooms with 2 queen beds and a separate smaller room with a sofabed, small kitchenette and its own TV. Enjoy complimentary, deluxe Smart Start breakfast including hot items. Also complimentary to hotel guests is Wireless Hi-Speed Internet, an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness room and a computer near the lobby with Internet and printing. There are meeting rooms and a coin-operated guest laundry room.

Hotel is easily accessible, good location, fine hotel. Bed was comfortable, everything was clean, pool, hot tub and fitness center were what we were looking for and expecting. Breakfast was standard for a Holiday Inn express, satisfactory for the most part. All around, it met our needs - nothing of particular note, but certainly no complaints either. We were comfortable, warm, fed, and price was reasonable.

This hotel is a great value. The hotel, and its rooms were clean and well cared for. The beds we amazingly comfortable -- particularly for the price. The rooms had access to a high speed wireless network that made staying connected very easy. We would stay here again.

We stayed one night to visit our daughter/grandaughter at Smith College. It is not the closest motel, but was very quiet, new and clean.

The front desk staff was awesome - friendly and accommodating! The room smelled as it was a smoking room. This hotel was perfect for a low-cost but comfortable stay. It was clean and friendly. A good experience overall.

The staff in the lobby were excellent, and overall, the hotel provided a fairly good experience. However, sleeping accommodations were lacking. We booked a room for 6: 4 adults and 2 children. The queen beds were very comfortable. However, the fold-out bed was very uncomfortable - to the point that one of the teenagers chose to sleep on the floor. Also, houseking staff did not appear to be aware of the number of people in our reservation. They did not provide us with sheets for the fold-out bed or towels for 6. It was very inconvenient to return late at night from a wedding and find that these things were not available.

The hotel was easy to get to and was very close to University of Massachusetts-Amherst, which was why I was visiting. Compared with other Holiday Inn's, this one was fine, the hotel staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was great!

Convenient location to the school we were visiting. Breakfast was the typical processed food continental breakfast. The hotel was clean and the rooms were very nice. I miss the fact that it did not have a restaurant. After a busy day it is nice to have dinner and relax. Breakfast was the typical continental processed food bar.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites AMHERST-HADLEY, Hadley, Massachusetts was everything you would expect - clean, comfortable with a friendly staff. Breakfast is also what you would expect at a Holiday Inn Express.

We enjoyed our five-night stay at Holiday Inn Express in Amherst MA. The staff were terrific; helpful, proactive, responsive, friendly. We found the room and surroundings to be very nice. Even though the hotel is on a thoroughfare, the views are lovely, the hotel quiet, and there is a courtyard/patio outside the pool area that is sunny and surrounded by gardens and a great place to relax. The location is good for access to all of the five-college area and very close to all kinds of shopping both in large stores and in walk-able downtown areas. The hotel is near to many types of restaurants some within walking distance.

Spacious room and bathroom, all extremely clean. No bureau/vanity in the bedroom. Very clean hotel with comfortable beds. The bathroom was a good size (and actually had enough towels, for once). Free wireless in all the rooms! The room I stayed in had a desk but no bureau, which was strange. The free continental breakfast has a good variety, so everyone should find something they like. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely helpful we needed directions to locate a business we were looking for. We also asked if we could be a little late checking out as we had been out very early in the morning and needed a little extra time before we left. The hotel was very clean. We would certainly stay there again.

Stay here only if you must and do so knowing that you will be underwhelmed and overcharged. Apparently this hotel knows that most guests need to stay here either for a college visit or other function and so they take full advantage of that. Our room was not ready at check-in and the staff had no options for hanging our wedding attire to prevent wrinkles. Thank goodness we were only guests and not the bride and groom! Upon getting into our room it was large enough but entirely plain and non-descript. The hotel 'breakfast room' was not well appointed at all and filled with large family groups gorging on fruit loops for long periods of time.

The location was great. Gave us a key to someone else's room! Then gave us a dirty room! Overall, this hotel was ok. I wouldn't stay there again because they gave us a key to someone else's room! Then gave us a dirty room! Didn't feel safe that they were giving out keys to someone else's room!

The hotel was spare but had a lovely patio in back and a friendly, helpful staff. Everything was clean and up to standards. The continental breakfast went beyond the usual to include some hot foods.

Very nice breakfast. Access from road was not convenient. Nice hotel for family or business travel. Clean. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
