We travel with our Westie and were pleased to have a dog welcomed without fee. It was also nice to have a room that wasn't a pet reserved (smelly and dirty). There were several dogs on our hall and all were well behaved. This was our first stay in Abilene and we were there for several days to attend a family reunion.

Staff was very hard working and helpful. Pool and hot tub dirty and not working. The workers at this hotel work hard and are helpful. The hotel is clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was very quiet and right off the highway. The breakfast is pretty good, standard continental fair. The one problem I had was the dirty pool, bugs floating in it and the hot tub, dirt gathered at the bottom and it would not turn on (no bubbles). Everything else was fine, but I think the price was a little high because there are other hotels nearby for less with the same amenities.

Having stayed at other Holiday Inn Express, I was surprised that the housekeeping in this particular hotel was not to the same standard as the others. There was four of us in the room, my husband and I and our two teenagers. We were there three nights, yet every night we had to go get a set of towels because they would only leave 3. Our bathroom was not cleaned except for dumping the trash. Our disposable cups were not replaced and the beds looked like my kids made them and not the housekeeper. The workout room had no air conditioner and the fan had been taken out. The machines were old and the key for the treadmill kept falling off. When we mentioned the housekeeping problem at the front desk, they didn't offer to make it better or even mention it to housekeeping. They excused it because of the construction that was going on. Yes, there was construction going on, but that didn't bother us as much as a dirty bathroom.

Very friendly staff, clean breakfast area, clean room, location prefect. The pool was rather small but clean. We stayed for a family reunion in town and found this hotel to be located perfectly for Abilene. The bed was very comfortable and nice to come back to each day. The hotel is under a construction up-date however. I never heard a single noise. During a power-outage due to a storm the staff kept us up to speed and the power was back on quickly. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Clean, modern room with very comfortable beds. The staff were all extremely friendly & helpful, going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Nice continental breakfast, but no hot items. GREAT place to stay for travelers passing through or spending some time in Abilene!

Upon pulling dresser away from wall to access a plug I found someone's underwear. Bedding needs updating (bedspreads are worn and beds were too firm). While our reservation was prepaid, the hotel computer made an error in trying to charge us again when I checked out.
