Staff was very helpful when scheduling activities. Great location in the historic district could walk everywhere easily. The pool was broken but you could go across the street to a neighbor hotel and use theirs, a little inconvenient but at least better than no pool. the room was nice and great views of the river.

The Savannah Holiday Inn Express on Bay Street was a perfect location that enabled us to walk to everything we wanted to see. It is across the street from the river walk area and within a short walk to great restaurants, antique shops and stores. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was updated and clean. Security was enhanced in the evening which made us feel very safe and the free breakfast buffet was excellent. St. Patrick's week in Savannah is the best!

My wife and I were in Savannah for a two day trip and booked the HIE for the night. The rooms feel brand new and have very nice appointments. Not to historical standards but there is plenty of other old stuff in Savannah. We were on the 2nd floor which had a bit too much road noise but otherwise was fine. The pool on the roof offered great views of the bridge, convention center and Bay Street. Great hotel for a visit to Savannah.

the service was super friendly. the room was beautiful and had a very nice view. the bartender, [...], was the most personable bartender i have ever met (and i am a bartender!!). two things i didn't like: no place to eat late night (and no delivery) had to scrounge change and eat out of the vending machines. and the valet parking. i like having access to my car at all times.

This Holiday Inn Express experience couldn't have been better. From the moment we stepped into the lobby the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had a king size room that was very clean, fully equipped with refrigerator,microwave, iron, coffee pot and hairdryer. We had a group of 17 and all were very pleased with the comfort of the beds and pillows. The continental breakfast satisfied everyone. It had hot and cold items, coffees, teas and hot chocolate. The breakfast bar was never empty. The staff cleaned up our tables for us. The location to the historic district was perfect. At any time you could walk to River Street or parks or historic sites. All within walking distance. I would recommend the Holiday Inn Express on Bay Street to anyone and everyone. Thank you staff!!!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would be going to Savannah. We were able to park our car and do our sightseeing on foot. As the Hotel was right on the cornor .

If you are looking to stay right in the middle of the action, this is the perfect spot. Very nice Hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, great pool! Only issue, (well not really an issue)I was pretty anxious to drive around and see the sites; it took the Valet longer than necessary to bring my car around.

Clean, GREAT location, friendly/helpful staff. Breakfast was awful, thankfully Starbucks is nearby. All in all the hotel was great. The only things I wasn't crazy about was breakfast and the fact that they do not offer room service. That would be a great asset to them.

Every thing about this hotel was perfect. The location, beds, size, appearance were four star and it was very clean. We had a wonderful visit to Savannah and since we found our hotel, will definitely stay there again and again.

There are no complaints except, our A/C wasn't very good, they fixed it but still not the best. However, the staff is excellent, very nice and very helpful. The location is wonderful, the place is clean. The breakfast is very good, good variety! I would definitely give it 4.5 stars out of 5!

Very enjoyable getaway. Hotel within walking distance of historic district and River Walk, restaurants and shopping areas. Helpful staff helped arrange sight-seeing and gave restaurant suggestions.

We couldn't have been happier. Stayed here on our drive back to Wisconsin after a 7 day cruise-so sorry we even took the cruise. We enjoyed our stay here so much more. Our room was beautiful-a corner room-great view-wet bar-lots of xtras-very clean, wonderful staff and a terricfic price for a 3 night stay. We are going to definitely return, soon.

Our experience was wonderful! We requested early checkin due to mother's handicap and bad weather. We waited briefly in the exquisitely designed lobby. We had requested a handicapped room with adjoining room. The rooms were super clean. Loved the central air, the beds and small balcony (3rd floor). Breakfast was very filling. Loved the sausage gravy & biscuits! The employees demonstrated southern hospitality. The Hotel a great stay & in the middle of price range for area.

The location was excellent! The room was new with a tile bathroom and glass shower doors. Nice! You had to pay for parking. Great location! Fresh, quiet and clean! Nice breakfast! I will be back!

We loved our three day stay at Holiday Inn Express in the Historic District. The room was spacious with new decor. Loved the king bed, flat screen TV, large bathroom, and pool on the roof. Employees were helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was okay; we ate there once and then tried other breakfast places. It was a short walk to River Street Shops and a 10 minute walk to Market Street. We would definitely stay there again.

I did not expect a HI Express to be this nice. The room was great (except for the ""thin walls""). The furnishings were excellent (nice pillow-top bed, LCD TV, Wi-Fi). A very nice complementary continental breakfast and a large lobby to eat it in was included. Once they get through their growing pains (only open for a month), it will be a great place to stay in Savannah. Don't get a room next to the elevator.
