Business not pleasureBooked this with my kids for a city break. It is clear that this caters for the travelling business person rather than families. Would use it for work related travel but not with kids,

The staff was very professional and friendly and helpful. There was no business center nor a restaurant. At that price level it is an hotel I would definitely recommend.

Business TravellerI just stayed one night, the room was basic but had toiletries and tea/ coffee making facilities which you don't get in many other lower priced hotels. There was parking right outside the hotel and as I arrived after 6.30pm and left before 8am there was no charge.There was some litter under my bed and my TV remote didn't work. I reported this to reception and hope they actioned it for the next guest.There was no restaurant but the hotel would order take aways if required.Breakfast was adequate.

Excellent clean modern hotel. Was staying over for a business trip and didn't arrive until late, staff on the desk made check in really quick and easy. Room was clean and well equipt with a selection of pillows. Continental breakfast as expected, simple but adequate. Note: car parking is £10 per 24hour period.

Can't faulth this hotel. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate with a wide selection of items available. I would happily stay there again and would certainly recommend it to others.

Friendly helpful staff, clean hotel excellent V4£. Wheelchair accessible, good shower.We were assisted from the car with luggage. Respectful, calm, helpful, smiling staff.Bed was a bit hard, asked for extra quilt which was fitted and made very comfortable thanks to the room maid. Wheelchair accessible room was spacious and good bath wet/room. Nice extra of fresh hot chocolate at night from breakfast area. Highly recommend. Close to NIA and excellent Italian in St Pauls Square - Locanta - worth a visit - the manager pushed the wheelchair back uphill to the hotel when we asked for a taxi!

One-night weekend stay at Holiday Inn Express, central BirminghamThis is a nice hotel in a great location in central Birmingham. Seems to be perfect if you want to stay over and relatively easy to find once you get around the complexities of the Birmingham one-way system. The buffet Continental breakfast is excellent value for money, at least if you are a family, and was well stocked with lots of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the signage on the car park was unclear. We didn't realise that a button marked with the name of a security firm allowed the shutters of the car park to be opened late at night when we returned to the hotel.

Although I was only at the hotel for a short period of time, as a stop over for business I couldn't fault it. The staff were friendly and helpful when I checked in and provided me with a map and directions for my meeting the next day as I am new to the city. Room was excellent modern clean.I appreciate the breakfast is only continental due to costs, but more variety in fruit would be appreciated, personal preference I know as I don't eat toast /pastries etc.

Overall Good experiencenice clean room, however at times the stay felt like some sort of maximum security prison. On checkin I was asked to provide ID which was photocopied, and any time i left the hotel and attempted to come back into my room I had to show ID. This is the first time ever i've had to experience something like this and I really dont see the need

Great location for the centre of Birmingham We went to a concert at Symphony Hall. It was a great location. We found the room very clean and comfortable. The hreakfast was all self service and consisted of cereals,fruit,muffins, Danish pastries etc.Their was a toast machine. For the price we thought it was really good. The staff were all very efficient and friendly. If we come to Birmingham again for a concert we would definately stay again.

Would stay againThis hotel was good value for money and very clean. Was very happy with the hotel and service provided and the car park was easy to find and very easy for accessing the hotel. Only grumble we had really was the breakfast wasn't that great as they didn't offer any sort of cooked breakfast
