This was an important trip for our family and extended family as we gathered for a memorial service. We wanted a hotel that was attractive, clean, up-to-date, had a pool and served a filling breakfast. It also had to be close to Rte 91 since we were traveling up and down the the eastern part of Vermont. The Holiday Inn Express in Brattleboro met all of our expectations and provided us with a pleasant base to rest, refresh and chat with each other. On the last morning, eleven of us were able to say goodbye over breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, parking was incredibly easy and we were adjacent to restaurants, a supermarket and a pharmacy. Brattleboro is a charming town and it is only five minutes from the hotel to downtown. The Basketville retail store is only 10 minutes north in Putney. We were even able to enjoy July 4th fireworks without traffics jams or parking problems!

Clean and comfortable. I wished they offered Belgian waffle makers in their breakfast like most VT ski-oriented places. Very clean, looks new, even though it is 7 years old. Mattresses had been replaced just recently. My wife knocked their main sliding door off the track the night we came in by accident. It was fixed by the next day. The staff is friendly. The place is clean and the price is right.

The rooms were decent (decor wise), but the bed was hard and the pillows were way too soft. I should also mention the facility is equipped with typical CHEAP heating and cooling units that make WAY too much noise when running. It was like a diesel truck parked in your room when it turned on.

Nothing. Staff was rude. This was a horrible experience. My wife is unable to sleep in a smoking room due to allergies. Explained this to the staff, and they put us in a nonsmoking room. We refused to pay the extra money, and the staff were incredibly rude.

This is a very comfortable hotel, with great bedding (triple sheets, like the high-end hotels). Also, I love their bath products, which have a cinnamon scent. Our room had a fridge and a microwave, which was very convenient. The breakfast was good, but I sure wish they had a regular restaurant on site. Still, a nice place to stay. We've stayed there two years in a row, and will stay again next year on our trip to Brattleboro.

Staff attention to detail. Continental breakfast was not up to other hotels we have frequented. A good 3 star hotel.

Breakfast was well done for families, the staff was very friendly and helpul about dining options (and gave great recommendations) They were, however, not able to respond to requests for things to be fixed in the work out room which was substandard. The television was broken and reported so for 5 consecutive days with no action, the towels were often all gone and not replenished on request. While we did not use the pool, families did seem to enjoy it.

Convenient location off highway, clean, comfortable, pleasant stay, free breakfast. Was exactly what we needed; inexpensive, clean, comfortable, attractively decorated and relatively close to the mountain where we were going to ski; not a luxury hotel but that's not what we needed.

The Holiday Inn Express in Brattleboro, VT was very nice. My husband and I traveled from AL to pick up our daughter from a summer camp in Northfield, Mass. I stayed at another inn on my way to deliver my daughter to the camp and was not very satisified, so this Holiday Inn was a pleasant surprise. It was easy to find off the interstate, the staff were all very nice and accomodating - keeping our room nice and recommending eating establishments. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy. There was also a nice breakfast every morning in lobby area. I needed a computer and printer to print some airline info and there was a computer available for that as well. I would recommend this Holiday Inn Express to other travelers.
