Everything was nice ... good breakfast, nice staff and nice location. The room we had however was a bit noisier than I would have liked ... 1st floor room, so we heard alot of outside noise from cars/such and people coming and going to the elevators. Ask for an upstairs room if you can get it

The breakfast area was big and food selection excellent. It did not have a restaurant. Location was good. Shopping and dining out places were right across the street. Hotel front desk staff were helpful when asked about directions and even took the time to research a route for us. The cleaning staff was friendly and did not seem to mind that we were still in our room till after 10am. on the days we were still at this hotel.

One night hotel cost: . Worth it? no. Football weekend and leaf seeking tourists probably jacked up the price of this hotel. But instead of staying at an unknown (Red Carpet Inn, Super 8) we elected to stay at a recognizable chain. Bed okay, pillows (there was a choice??) were hard foam. Ordinary bathroom with good space- but fiberglass tub, cheap soap and toiletries and plastic cups encased in a plastic sheath. All that was missing was the sani- strip over the toilet. If I had that, I would have thought I'd gone back 30 years. What I was extremely surprised at was the complimentary breakfast. Very meager offers in comparision to other chains. Are we big eaters? No. It wasn't like we wanted to stock up until dinner. Fruit from a can and sanisealed cinnabon buns. Yuck! Even my 80 year old dad, who is pretty flexible- noted the difference. Thank goodness he didn't know I paid 186 for the room! PS- Hey HEX- buy a new toaster- everyone was burning their fingers trying to dig out their english muffins and 3X3 premade french toast. Recommendation: If you have the choice APP fans... stay at the Comfort Inn.

We have stayed here in the fall and it is a nice central location to view the bloom schedule on the Parkway. You can shop and enjoy the sights in Blowing Rock. Moses Cone area is great for hiking, or just a nice stroll around the lake. When you stay here you have all the sights in Boone and Blowing Rock and the easy access to the Parkway. Tha hotel has a great breakfest too!

We were in boone for two days to see the sights. Great location away from the college crowd and close to Tweetsie. Clean hotel. Good breakfast. The hotel was what I expected and I felt like I got my moneys worth. I liked the rustic, rock motif to the hotel. I felt like I was in the mountains.I will stay there again.

Not much to say about this hotel. It's your basic business travel hotel, without too many amenities. The breakfast in the morning is worth passing by. The exercise room needs much maintenance. One treadmill doesn't work at all, the other screeches so loud I thought it would explode at any moment. The pedals on the exercise bike were broken. The stair climber appeared to work for what little I tried it. Other than the extraordinarly broken exercise room, the rest of the hotel is unremarkable.

Location.'Holiday Inn Express Reliability'. Clean room. Met all needs. Found some dirty spots in bathroom, but could live with them. Hotel met Holiday Inn Express Standards; great breakfast, clean room, second sink in room for food prep or coffee in addition to large bathroom with angled shower curtain (great if you like extra space and don't like your elbows hitting the curtain every time you turn around). Would stay at again!

Very nice hotel, large rooms, very thick towels, two pillow choices (firm or soft), clean. And a good bargain. Breakfast adequate but no hot foods, e.g. no waffles or sausage. I'd definetly stay here again.

We have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before, but when we arrived we were pleased! The room was nice and large and the view was good for being in Boone. It was a comfortable stay and the breakfast was outstanding. A great variety. We own timeshare, but we wanted to see the peak color and did this quick trip and we intend to stay at more Holiday Inn Express Hotels in the future. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Good Job!!

Good location. Very clean and room was attractive. Beds were not as comfortable as I would like. Probably time to replace them.

The Holiday Inn Express in Boone is located just inside the city limits on the Blowing Rock/Boone highway, with an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway in between the two towns. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, and if not remodeled within the last few years, very well maintained. There are numerous places to eat within a mile or two. Some immediately across the street, and ranging from typical fast food types to your Applebee types and more upscale. Hotel is also located within a mile of App. State stadium and campus. Parking is free.

Continental breakfast. Getting out in to traffic. Nice hotel, nice staff, great breakfast close to blowing rock.

Liked the location, it was close to everything. The furnishings were scratched and worn. The stay was for the most part extremely pleasant. The room was spacious with a lovely little balcony. The complementary breakfast was very nice with lots of choices. The room was clean but the furniture was quite scratched in places and the bedspread was spotty but these things were minor and they stay and friendliness of the staff made for a very good time.

Convenient location and friendly staff. This hotel is a great place to stay in Boone, especially for a family. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious; the breakfast was included in the price; and there was something for everybody.

The guy cleaning our room neatly spread my daughter's blanket and stuffed dog on bed (sweet!). Air conditioner! Not thermostat controlled. Loud ran all the time. The rooms were nice and clean. The bathroom was very clean. My only complaint was the air conditioning needs to be replaced with a more modern unit.
