This room absolutely had to be an after thought ! The shower head was on the side of the wall rather than one end. So, when the water went from cold to HOT, you had nowhere to back up to! The lay out was just strange. Perhaps for handicap access? We asked for a different room, but for four nights they could only offer smoking rooms. There was no percieved effort to accomodate and they were rude! One "Dude" in particular made no pretense of being accomodating at all. And, for some reason, when I went out to get coffee early in the morning (every morning) there was a newspaper outside every door but ours! I was beginning to feel that we were getting the "Online Travel Website" treatment! What's up with that? So much for my "Priority Club" membership.

This is a great hotel, very accomidating for the business traveler. Not only does it have a business center with 2 computer and 2 printers, this hotel also provides free WIFI that works GREAT! I have never had any problems with the internet. Also, their breakfast is GREAT! It is always stocked and always good!!

We wanted something out of Seattle because we wanted to visit the surrounding areas. This was a great location, beautiful old town district, and convenient for our trips to Vancouver, Forks, and Seattle. This hotel is located in the new part of town away from the old town district,Western Wash U, and the waterfront. The Extreme Sports Bar, a very short walk from the hotel, offers a 10% on your drinks and meals if you show your hotel key. The staff was great when we checked in. No complaints.

Very pleasant and home town. Lots of families there with children. The food bar for breakfast was always stocked with everything and changed out if it got cold or had been there over the designated time.

The hotel and staff are excellent. They made us feel right at home and were available to answer all of our questions. The hot breakfast was an added bonus, we were only expecting a continental breakfast. We loved the outside seating on the patio. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

I think this hotel was more than we were expecting. Nice location, great staff, really clean.

The hotel had a very comfortable environment. The room was well furnished. Having a table with two chairs was nice. I liked the choice of bedding. It was easy to keep neat and was adequate for sleeping at night. Having extra pillows was good - I like to read in bed so having an extra pillow was nice. My husband likes to sleep with two pillows as well. The breakfast served in the morning was excellent - the choice of food was exceptional. The only negative comment I have to share is the condition of the pool. We had our 5 yr old granddaughter with us and she loves the water. The pool itself left much to be desired in cleanliness. Around the top 3 inches of the pool was noticeably dirty. I first thought it was just stained, but when I went to scratch the surface, it scratched off easily. It had not been surface cleaned in a long while. The dirt was caked on. The water in the pool and the hottub did not give the appearence of being sparkling clean. One day when we were in the pool, a group of 3 young men(around 17-18)came in the pool but entered through the outside patio door. They did not enter the patio area from the hotel but entered the patio from the street. There was nothing untoward about their behaviour, but I had the impression they were not hotel guests. In the 4 days we were there, it was only the last day that the patio door into the pool was locked, the other days it was always open. Outside of the above, our stay at the hotel was very good and I would definitely return.

Location was good, near shopping and dining. Only one elevator, walls were thin, only had smoking rooms available.

Cleanliness. They still allow smoking in some rooms. All in all, though, a clean hotel and a good value.

Sink drained extremely slowly, reported for two days, never fixed.....very little evidence that they serviced the room, towels were not replaced, pool towels were not removed....the breakfast provided was excellent and very well run...

Holiday Inn Express Bellingham was a great value. The room and all of the appointments were terrific. This was our last stop on a 5 day trip and by far the best place. We will certainly choose Holiday Inn Express in the future!

The Holiday Inn in Bellingham was a great location for me. I was only in town for 4 days to watch the Bellingham Bells Baseball team and I was traveling alone. I felt comfortable in my accomodations that I could come and go late hours and not be concerned. Although they do not have dining within the hotel itself, the ammenities close by were abundant and had a large variety some with late hours to accomodate my after baseball needs. I liked the 24 hour coffee bar. It was nice to come home and get a cup before I went upstairs.
