Weekend away on BathThe room was tidy but not ready until 3.30pm (we arrived early that morning and had pre warned the hotel of this) it was a room for 4 but I would not want to sleep on the sofa bed for more than one night- luckly my children are lighter and smaller than an adult. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety and plenty to eatAll up good value for a one night stay

Very European- modern decor in rooms. The cost for the size of the room was incongruent. Very modern, basic accommodations. The cost for the large chain hotel room was incongruent. Other than the cost, the facility provided for our basic needs.

Very clean, stylish room. About a 20 minute brisk walk from the Roman Baths. Near big grocery stores. Excellent free breakfast.

Accommodation commentsReasonable level of service and rooms were good and clean. Family room was well sized to accommdate two small kids, without having to trip over each other.

Very clean and modern. No restaurant. Hotel allowed our car to be left without charge in their parking lot until 1:00 pm (even though we checked out about 8:00 am) so we had a full morning of sight-seeing without having to park our car elsewhere in the very congested city of Bath.

very nice and friendly. surely a place i go next time i visit bath. only disappointment was the sofa-bed in our quad-room. not too comfortable. also the hotel should buy some more knifes and spoons as for the breakfast time they pretty fast run out of these.

Basic, clean and comfortable, good value for money. The shared bar/reception service doesn't work too well but the staff were very friendly and helpful once we managed to get their attention.

Very clean and air conditioning was being installed. A little far away from city center but not too bad. I would have preferred that it was a little closer to the city center but that would have added to the cost. A great hotel for what we needed and wanted. Easy parking and good breakfast. Would stay there again now that we know the city.

Some traffic noise in room as location is on a main road, clean and cheerful if a little tight for space as rooms were fitted with additional family beds. Continental breakfast ok except for dry croissants. Fifteen minute walk to town centre, friendly staff provided a map for us to follow, they also provided help in finding restaruants for the evening. would stay again, good carpark.

We were told that because we booked through late rooms we had no choice of non smoking or smoking rooms. We had to accept a smoking room which stank of stale smoke including bedding and towels. Staff were not particularly helpful and all appeared to be very young with no manger visibleThe croissants and bread at breakfast were mouldy and there was a lack of cutlery and an unaccommodating waiterHowever price of room was good for time of year

Location was a little further away from the sights than we'd expected but easy to find with free parking until 1pm on departure day. Staff were cheery, decor was cheery, hotel was warm. Sofa bed for the kids wasn't made up when we arrived and there was one towel between the 4 of us but Kiki on reception was v helpful and set everything up for us by bedtime. We were a bit surprised that some people kept their v young kids up in the bar til way past 1030pm. Breakfast (continental, DIY) was a rugby scrum at 8.30am - they kept running out of crockery, juice, croissants, spoons but at least there was a free newspaper for us to read during the wait. But for £89 for of us it wasn't bad.

Nice, modern, clean hotel. Excellent continental breakfast. Only complaints were that the room was too hot and there was very little control over air conditioning - you could set it from 19 - 21 C. Also there were not enough pillows and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable.

Room was fine, breakfast - a joke, at 0700, there was no toaster working, only cereal, no prepared fruit, and precious little else. On commenting to the reception staff (obviously used to this) he informed me that I was advised on booking that it was continental only! In many years of experiencing continental breakfast this has to be the pooresr in terms of selection, I went to Sainsbury's for a proper breakfast.

This hotel is everything you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Very clean and basic rooms and breakfast included which is always an appreciated bonus. Our only problems was that they had not made up the fold out couch bed for our children and it took them forever to get the sheets and duvet covers to us so that our two small children were up 2 hours past their bed time. We had to make up the bed ourselves which was not a problem but it did take several phone calls to reception to get the linen and towels for the children brought up to us. The breakfast room was very busy the next morning but the food was fine and when we advised the staff they were out of milk they were very prompt in providing us with more. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly when asked for directions to various local attractions. We would definitely stay here again but it does lack the warmth and charm of an old fashioned B & B.

Modern hotel within easy walking distance of the centre. My only very minor complaints are that I was taking a working break so could have done with the internet connection working properly. The breakfast needed fresher croissant, real orange juice and stronger coffee. The staff were very friendly and even went to fetch a take out for a disabled couple who were staying there.

Only continental breakfast is provided at this hotel and my only criticism is that the self service area for the breakfast was not very organised with guests all over the place choosing their breakfast - with a few collisions along the way, not so good when carrying a cup of hot coffee! Apart from this both visits to the hotel have been as expected, clean and comfortable and I would definitely use the hotel again.

Stayed at this hotel in a family room. The room was nice - all I would expect from this type of hotel. Easy to walk to the centre of Bath. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast. The 'dining' area was far to small for the number of people in the hotel, the self service area was very small and had run out of cups, glasses, plates and cutlery (ie everything!) had to make own toast with only 2 toasters available for all guests. It may be better at other times, but between 8:30 and 9:30 it was very poor!
