This was a pleasantly surprising trip, The room was clean,what we asked for, and the staff was friendly. The location was easy to find. After previous stays in the D.C. area, I can honestly say that I wouldn't be afraid to be out after dark. Nice trip!

I was really impressed with the room and the amenities and the breakfast was fresh and on time. The hotel over all was very nice and honestly not what I was expecting especially for the price. It truly exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and approachable.

Our family enjoyed our stay here. The room was comfortable, the pool was nice, and breakfast was good. Everyone found something they liked each morning. It is a half mile walk to the Metro, which we took into the city every day we were there. We didn't find too many places nearby to eat at though (there's a Subway and a Red Lobster). Only one of the elevators was working while we were there, so we took the stairs alot. Overall, it was a great hotel for the price we paid!

Our hotel was easy to fine, VERY quiet and exceptionally clean. Bed & pillows were great!! Staff superb!

The Holiday Inn Express was very comfortable, and was a great value for the price. The room was extremely clean, and any problems (our safe did not work the first night) was fixed within a day. The hotel was within three blocks of a MetroRail subway station, and we felt very safe when walking to/from the station from the hotel. That said, there were also taxis at the station that would take us back to our hotel. The neighborhood was not the best, and there are literally no fast food locations within walking distance. Also, the pool only stays open from 1pm to 8pm...and if the lifeguard is not there...you cannot swim. The hotel is frequently used by groups, so the breakfast area was pretty crowded, as it is not very big. There were also a few minor issues....the biggest being that the laundry facilities were broke, and were not available during the eight days we were there. The staff was very courteous, and helpful when needed. It made for a very good vacation...and a great money saver!

Friendly, good service, clean and good TV. Nice free breakfast in morning. One block from the I-495 Branch Ave. exit. Nice rooms, comfortable bed and all the recent movies were available.

crowded with charter groups in April. extra charges for phone use. Only one elevator worked. Used stairs a lot. Self-serve breakfast o.k. if you eat at 6 a.m. to avoid rush. Motel room was clean. Ten minute walk to Metro.

The stafff was very friendly; it's nice when people remember your name! Not a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Great place to stay if you want to see DC and are on a budget. Easy walk to Metro station (green line) unless the weather is bad. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. I would stay here again.

I would like to thank those two people that help get my room at this hotel cause it was an experience that I never had. That was my first time in Maryland an it will not be my last. The front desk really help me out alot by helping me to get my hotel an help me to find my way around Maryland. The hotel room was nice and big and I really enjoy it. The food was great as well and thay have a nice fitness room too. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool but I'm pretty sure it was nice. I would sugess this hotel to anyone. Thank you again for everything!

It was very clean and quiet. Was hard to find. Need sign on road. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was good. It was a little hard to locate the road and on GPS we found that it was not listed as Holiday Inn Express, but as another hotel, which made finding it even more difficult.

I liked the fact that security guards were visible but not intimidating. My shower curtain was stained. I liked the atmosphere and would stay there again.

The rooms were freshly remodeled. The hallways were still under remodeling construction. Good hotel stay for the price paid.

It kept me warm and dry. The lack of nearby restaurants. Difficult to review because it was undergoing both a renovation as well as a Name change in the not too distant future, something which I was _not_ warned about. It was changing from a day's inn to a holiday inn express in some in determinant future. One big problem that I found was the problem of communication, because the majority of the employees were from India, and I was born in the united states.

Good Price. Bad Smell in Lobby and Elevator. I was disappointed because I had to cut my stay short one night, because of my daughter's hospitalization, but couldn't get my money back.
