It was nice hotel close to shopping and eating places.LL bean was also close .30-40 minutes far from beautifull town Bar Harbor and it's market. We just slept in this room which was peacefull and quite.

Location, price, and availability were good for this trip. We were given a smoking room. My wife is pregnant. The choices were only two smoking rooms. We were not happy. The hotel was convenient to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, attractions. We were given only two rooms to choose from- both smoking. The clerk said the rest were all booked. My wife is pregnant and we did not appreciate this. The room down the hall had a barking dog most of the night. There was a fly in our room that I was able to kill with a rolled newspaper. Beds were comfortable, room were spacious. Bathroom was clean.

Not worth Holiday Inn Brand. Hotel is very old and way overpriced. Beds uncomfortable. Old linens. Staff and service were excellent but due to the condition of the hotel I would not stay here again.

The Holiday Inn Ellsworth was comfortable, The 2 children staying there had a wonderful time in the pool and hot tub. It was clean, quiet and just what was needed for a nite away.

Location. No elevator. Asked to move down to the 1st floor since I was traveling with an elderly parent - they are very accommodating.

The hotel was a little smaller than we thought. Even though it is two floors, there are no elevators. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We had a few issues with the cleanliness of our room, and they rectified the situation as soon as we notified them, and even deducted a portion of our bill. We never ordered room service, but the restaurant inside the hotel had good food and reasonable prices. There is a small shopping center just a few hundred feet away with a grocery store, small movie theater, & other shops/restaurants. Overall, for the location and price, we were pleased.

The beds were terrible. When I woke up in the morning both of us had back pains.

Room was spacious and clean. No decent public space, indoors or outdoors, situated in/next to shoppping mall. Ddecent hotel, good clean rooms, situated in a shopping mall. Ggood place if on short term business.

"This hotel has it all - Free wireless Internet, wonderful facilities, coin laundry, top-notch service and a short drive from Acadia. The town of Ellsworth, however, was miserable. All of the restaurants had some problem - long wait, out of food, and two places wouldn't serve us until 8pm because we were not seeing the play across the street (yea, I'm confused too). Even the pizza place which advertises 'We Deliver' only delivers in the Winter. We did, however, find an awesome Country restaurant a few miles South on Rt. 3. If you can stay in Bar Harbor or Bangor, avoid Ellsworth."

None. Untidy; we got a room on the second floor while there is no elevator. Very disappointing and highly unbecoming.

"The front staff was wonderful, I asked for directions and she gave me free passes to where I was going! The cleaning staff noticed as we were moving in that we had an extra person and immediately gave us more towels etc. A very clean and confortable place. Great price. I will start looking at Holiday Inns first! "

View, smell, smokers at exit, noise and no elevator. The smells that existed were those of cigarette smoke at the entrances and a flowery cover-up substance in the hallways. We walked through smokers and their smoke each time we entered the hotel. We were assigned to second floor and the front desk clerk failed to tell us that no elevator existed; we spent time wandering around the hallways looking for the elevator. No complimentary breakfast was present. No charm or warmness existed; it simply met the need for a bed in which to sleep and a shower at the end of the day. I would not want to stay in this hotel again.

"Very clean. Great front desk staff. All kinds of shopping nearby and very easy to go to Mt Desert Island or Schoodic Point. It is outside of the quaint downtown, however."

Fridge in room, staff. Smelled like smoke. Good if you want to be near Bar Harbor but can't get a room or a reasonable room in Bar Harbor. Smelled faintly of old smoke but completely bearable - we went with a very young child and it was fine. Consider going to Jordan's Snack Bar en route to bar harbor - tasty!

Very friendly, overall the hotel exceeded our expectations. The decor/amenities in the bathroom were less than perfect. Based on our experience, we found the negative reviews about this hotel to be largely unfounded. We arrived late and the staff accommodated myself, my wife and 4-month old as expected. The room was clean and quiet with good control of heat/cooling. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom fixtures/amenities were less than perfect and needed updating/fixing. But overall, a pleasant experience.

Pool, fitness, sauna, hot tub. Nothing. I felt quite comfortable at this hotel with everyone being really friendly right down to the cleaning staff. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone who would like to travel to Bangor.

Pleasant atmosphere at the pool with the kids. No. We really liked our stay as a family at your hotel. The kids mostly liked the pool area.

Easy access, friendly staff, clean, nice facilities. No newspaper in morning as advertised. I would stay at this hotel again. Dining room was quite enjoyable but short on staff. Family atmosphere but also adult friendly. Overall, very nice hotel, nice location and great, friendly staff.

The sauna, hot tub and pool were great after a hard day's work, very relaxing. I can't think of anything I didn't like. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone, any time. The staff was great very helpful, outgoing, made me feel at ease like welcome home! I didn't have to park in Siberia and freeze my butt off getting inside. The room was clean and comfortable. I slept well.

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, gym was well equipped. Indoor pool & Jacuzzi closed without warning, for 24 hours. This hotel was better than average. The room was comfortable and very clean. The gym was well equipped and open 5:30am 11pm. The pool was nice, but closed most of the time we were there. The hotel restaurant was nice but very pricy. Computer access in lobby was appreciated. If we stayed in Ellsworth again, I would choose this hotel.
