Comfortable stay in EdinburghI only stayed for an evening so didn't spend much time in the hotel - my favourite part of the stay was the lovely swim first thing in the morning - I'll definately go back!

The room price was reasonable, but the restaurants were extremely pricey, with slow service, and very few options. The front desk staff was helpful but hard to get a hold of if needed.

The price of the meal was way too much for the quality. We were not given the option of a la Reg carte dining, and the roast beef served was very tough. It was way too costly for the type of hotel/quality of the food served. If a family with small children, would be cost prohibitive.

This hotel is unlike other Holiday Inns. There was no information in the rooms about the hotel and surrounding area....not even a phone book. The front desk was only slightly helpful. The food was extremely overpriced. We paid $166.00 for a cafeteria style dinner. It is far away from the city center.

The Zoo HotelThe room was very comfortable and not too hot. Got wakened by dawn chorus from the zoo as our room faced the zoo which was wonderful. The other side of the hotel had a lovely view to the Pentland hills. The reception/bar/rest area wasa very welcoming. The hotelt is easy to find and parking was good. We would definelty stay here again

It was very convenient to the airport and the facilities were very nice. We did not use any amenities.

Clean and efficient. Convenient to local bus transportation to city center. The buffet breakfast was too expensive for what it delivered. Pleasant and economical. Close to buses to City Center and the Zoo is right next door. Staff (sometimes) were very helpful in ordering a taxi. Rooms and facilities were clean and there is a pool and workout machines available.

We had a great time traveling all aorund Scotland. The prices were more expensive than the U.S. but people should come to expect that in the U.K. The hotel wasn't the best, but we were only there when we slept so it was fine. The Scottish food was strange and anyone with a weak stomach should stick to a McDonald's. I am overweight and did not try the fitness equipment at the hotel, but my wife and her new male friend spent hours in there, so it must have been good.

holiday inn edinburghwe had a car so this hotel was easy to find off the main road and had free parking with many spaces available which was really great and stress free, this is difficult to find in edinburgh. The room and bathroom were fine. The food was nice but the restaurant did close early on a monday night so we had to have bar meal but the selection on the menu was good. The spa facilities were really nice. Lovely pool, great sauna and jacuzzi all open until 10pm at night which really was good for us after a busy day out. All in all i really enjoyed my stay here and would definately come back to this place. Ideal if you want to have day out at the zoo it is literally on the hotels doorstep.

Nice facilities (pool and gym), clean rooms and friendly staff. Not in the City Centre. Overall, I was very pleased with this hotel.

Hotel was exactly what we were after for a one stay but we didn't need to go into the city centre...

Being next to the Zoo and an unhappy animal at 11:00 pm. The hotel was clean and attractive. The food was good. The hotel is situated closed to downtown and on a bus line which made a car unnecessary.

Good quality room, overpriced food and drink Pretentious and expensive food and drink however we couldn't fault the room itself.

The staff was very friendly and helpful in how to get around the town. Had to climb a hill with two suitcases to enter the hotel.

Family visitWe have stayed at the Holiday Inn many times before because it is convenient for visiting our son and his family. We consider it good value for money being only a few pounds more than a good quality B and B.Our only complaint was of very long queues for breakfast on Saturday 21s March. Generally we are satisfied with the hotel.

VERY easy to grab the bus into and out of the city. Expensive dining.

Typical Holliday InnHotel fine - restaurant and bar area a bit impersonal but overall fine.

Nice and Good Facilities. Nice and cozy hotel. Good transportation options to/from city center and Airport.

Ok but expensiveHotel was ok, only major gripe was that it £100 more than normal simply because the Rugby was on. I found that very hard to justify. If the room was the standard rate then it would have got a higher rating.

A very good stop for families visiting EdinburghConveniently placed next to regular bus routes to the centre this hotel will be a fine place to stay for families.Don't be fooled by the drab exterior inside its smart, welcoming with comfortable rooms and good leisure facilities. We had a rear facing room and the early morning alarm call from the inhabitants of Edinburgh Zoo,right next door, was wonderful, and meant my child was up and about with a smile on her face. Nearly a miracle for a teenager at 7am!
