The Hotel is very nice and clean also VERY NICE CLEAN ROOM,the only problem it's a little far away from Down Town,.but they do provide shuttle bus.I'm going back to stay in Feb 2010 Benure from Toronto. Canada

I could comfortably stay in this hotel. However, it took 2 hours from International Airport to arrive at this hotel. Travel information counter, receptionists of bus ticket booth and buses' and taxi's driver did not know where this hotel was located. More details to access information should be provided.

This hotel is not in Taipei city area, it's in ShenKeng (about 20mins to nearest MRT station - Cityhall station) and quite near to Taipei Zoo. Anyway, the hotel do provide free shultter van (max. 9 pax per trip) to the nearest MRT station & Taipei 101. The room is new & nice in design, but the poor soundproof that make you can hear your neighbour cleary. The hotel staffs is very friendly & helpful. Overall, this hotel is worth to stay with the price that you pay for in Taipei. We will be back again!!!

I extended my stay in Taipei together with a collague of mine at Holiday Inn East Taipei. The hotel was above our expectations as it was very clean, comfortable,spacious and had free wi-f! We had to check out really early the next morning for an early flight but the hotel were kind enough to pack us breakfast boxes with yoghurt milk. How delightful! The only set-back was the distance away from the city-centre but that was compensated by the availability of the shuttle service by the hotel itself. Note though that those keen to use the shuttle service should reserve seats in advance (both ways)in order to avoid disappointment. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I do visit Taipei in the near future.

The hotel was wonderful! The lobby was beautiful and our room was not only comfortable but, it was very pretty. The staff bent over backwards to see that our every need was met. Even the bellboy opened our door for us and directed the cab where to take us because we didn't speak Chinese. The front desk exchanged our money for us at the same rate the banks did. We ate breakfast at the buffet every morning and it was delicious. We also had room service and it was quick, hot and very good.The hotel is not in the downtown area but it was close to the zoo and the gondola. It was a short and inexpensive taxi ride to downtown or the MRT.If I ever go back to Taiwan, I would certainly stay at the Holiday Inn Taipei East again.
