Date of Stay: May, 2008

Holiday Inn East is a comfortable older (very clean) hotel. It is not the most convenient location esp for the race tracks, but, it is easily accessed from the interstates. Its location should not be a deterrant to race fans unless you want to pay a lot more to be nearer the action. You may notice some highway noise in some rooms. The hotel has a great restaurant (one reason why we stay there), also there is fast food nearby (Arbys, McDonalds, possibly an Outback or similar, Starbucks is across the road). All in all a very good place to stay.

My son and I loved the pool and jacuzzi. The beds were luscious, down comforters, etc. It was hard to find the lobby from the hallways. Small criticism. This is an easy-access hotel. The room was pleasing, very comfortable, and the shower was great! There was even a mirror in the shower for shaving. Good location right off of the interstate, and easily viewed as we came off of the ramp. The bedding was pure white with beige dust ruffle, pleasing to the eye and the mattresses were heavenly. Great, warm pool water, large pool, and huge jacuzzi for public use. We so enjoyed our stay there. We had to leave before breakfast was served, so did not get to sample that.

a friend and myself with our daughters stayed at this hotel for a little retreat. the hotel in all was fine until on the second day someone stole my friends little girls clothes that were hanging on the rack by the bathroom and management basically told us it did not happen and that we just wanted a free stay and left it at that about * in clothes were taken and nothing was done about it.

Bathroom, the toilet was not stable. The water in the pool was a bit cold. It was nice for a quick stay. Traveling with kids isn't always easy.

The room was very clean and business oriented. It was very warm and our AC did not work. This is an older hotel, but very clean despite some dated decor. Pool area was very nice. The room was excellent in all point except for the air conditioning. We were provided with a refrigerator, microwave as well as the normal hookups for computers and the like. I'm sure the AC was just a maintenance issue. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Olenty of clean towels and soap, internet worked well. Bed skirt on 2nd bed had some kind of stains. Pleasant place, older, has seen better days but clean(except for bed skirt) and desk people exceptionally nice, would stay here again. Damon's smelled wonderful. Had I not just eaten I would have tried the food there.

Extra pillows on the bed. Breakfast buffet was cold and food not fresh. This hotel is easy to get to off of I-70. Ideal spot for anyone needing to be on the East side of town. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool is clean and ready for you to enjoy.

Shabby furnishings, low watt light bulbs. This is a Holiday Inn that isn't up to corporate standards. The lobby was dingy and not very clean. The furnishings in the room were shabby and needed to be replaced. The light bulbs were low wattage. The best thing about it was the two computers in the lobby with high speed internet access.

It was the one we wanted and was located off a major highway on the side of town we wanted. It was in a run down part of town that didn't have much around it. The hotel itself was very good, but in an older neighborhood.

The staff was excellent. The location looked sketchy, I don't know if it was, but it looked sketchy. The front desk was cordial and attentive, the house cleaning crew was helpful and the food at the restaurant was adequate. It served my purpose (a quick place to stay on my way to somewhere else) and I appreciated that it didn't cost me a whole lot for the few hours I stayed there.

It was a clean place. The night manager was real rude she yelled at me 4 come up to the front in my wet bath suit I want up there. It ok except 4 the night manager I will never stay at that hotel as long as she works there all the other employees were nice and friendly not here.

Located close to the freeway. We liked everything about it. The hotel was conveniently located to the freeway. It was very clean, quiet and the staff was very helpful.

Nothing. Everything. This hotel has gone down hill. I have stayed here before & it wasnt very nice before now its really bad. I wouldnt consider this a 2 star maybe a -1 star.

Convenient location right off the interstate. One of the front desk attendants was not very friendly. Nice friendly atmosphere.

Pool. Too noisy. Too noisy. Children running the hallways late after 11 PM. People yelling and laughing in the parking lot at 3 AM.

The staff was friendly and willing to help/answer questions. I found a cockroach like bug in the bathroom the next morning. There were a lot of people staying there, and someone was bouncing a basketball down the hallway early Sunday morning (7am). A lot of loud talking was going on outside our doors around 11pm too, which was difficult for my parents who are elderly. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were nice.

Room service from Damon's was excellent, there was a hot tub. Dirty and smelled bad. Only reason to stay here is for the Damon's restaurant in the hotel. It is more motel quality anyway. Pool area was okay but the workout room was not very well equipped. Room is small. Location is in a questionable area. Requests we made to the front desk were forgotten and had to be asked for again. We were there on a Saturday night so hotel was full. Lover's quarrels in the hall were heard several times. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.
