Location - didn't know they had an indoor pool and facilities.

I stayed two nights at this hotel as part of a group tour. This hotel is extremely outdated and has not been maintained. The beds were uncomfortable. In short this place bore no resemblance to the way it was advertised. Many of the advertised amentieis either did not exist or were broken. I would never stay there again.

Centrally located and had all the amenities we expected.

THis property is within walking distance to downtown activities, the Durango Silverton railroad, and has an Appleby's on property for good food at reasonable prices. In fact, they offered us "kids eat free" at Appleby's which was a great value. It's exactly as advertised and a great option for those traveling through Southern Colorado. Rooms are standard HI but just a good value overall. Very clean and good staff.

Swimming pool. Double beds instead of queen bedsare not acceptable. I would not stay here again.

Made our reservation several months in advance. Our room was old, TV outdated, the heater was not working and the king size bed sagged so bad that I couldn't sleep the first night. Next morning requested another room and after I came back from the train ride to Cascade the clerk that I spoke in the morning was gone and the one at the front desk didn't know anything about my request. After discussing the situation with her she finally call the manager (which was off on weekends) and he suggested that since they were full to give us a suite. That didn't happen, instead we got another room with a bed almost as bad. At least the heater worked on this room. The staff was rude and impolite to say the least, and the manager never reply to an email I sent him. I will never stay at this hotel again and I will probably stay away from Holiday Inn whenever possible. I am sure there are better choices in Durango than this Holiday Inn.

The room was very nice. The parking was terrible. I enjoyed my stay. I stayed at this hotel due to a scheduled out surgery early the next morning. I live 2.5 hours away from the hospital. I was not very too pleased when we needed to extend the stay for 1 more night because the hospital needed to keep me and they would not honor the disc rate.

We wanted to take a spring break vaction and the Holiday Inn in Durango was perfect! It was an excellent value and in a fantastic location. We could see the mountains right out our front door and the Animas River which runs right by the hotel was really cool! All of Durango's best resturants and entertainment areas were a short walk from the hotel's downtown location. There is an Applebee's in the hotel, but I would recommend making the short walk to the local places. I highly recommend Gazapacho's, Tequilas, and Farquarts Pizza. Also, there is a little drive-up coffee stand across from the hotel and its fantastic. Much better then the free coffee provided in the lobby! The room was really clean and serviced everyday of our trip. The pool, hot tub, and sauna area was really nice after a long day of skiing! The only negative I had was the comfort of the bed, but for the money, this is the place to stay in Durango!

Convenient location. A bit cramped for space, A bit overpriced. Great location for our convenience. Great food at Applebee's on opposite side of building. Clean room, though a bit cramped.

The hotel is conveniently located within 1 long block walking distance from Old Town Durango. Besides its great view of the Animas River, there is a riverwalk accessible and outside tables to picnic on or just watch the river activities. There is a City Market grocery store across the street, plus a Rite Aid and Liquor Store. The hotel rooms have been completely refurbished with new carpeting, bedspreads, shower/bath curtains and paint and the customary amenities (coffee, shampoo, etc). Applebee's Restaurant is attached and has a very broad menu and bar. Our food was very good.

Great location on the river. Close to Historic Downtown. Would stay there again. Rooms appear to have been fairly recently remodeled including new mattresses. Located on the river just a couple of blocks from the Historic Downtown area. Has a nice Applebee's incorporated into hotel which was very handy?

In general, the room seemed spotless although the carpet near the sink was damp. The front desk staff was helpful and efficient. The hotel price seemed a little steep for the locaiton and quality of the room. The Applebees restaurant at the front of the hotel was the best Applebees that I had ever visited.

The night manager was very helpful and very polite. On a very busy street and very noisy.

The hotel had no shuttle service. It was about 5 blocks from the rail station and you had to cross a busy highway. The pool was very small. Having worked ii the hotel industry, I found nothing to justify $* for a double for one night.

Applebees restaurant on site-very convenient. The pool area was not very clean-pool was too cold and Jacuzzi was too hot.

"This hotel is just a short walk to the Durango downtown, train station, shops and restaurants. It is also situated on the River and trail so walking, biking, fishing is out the back door. Also, the cities skate park is just a few blocks up this trail."

Walking distance to town and right on the river! Pool area was dingy. Walking distance to town and right on the river. Easy check in. Simple but clean hotel.

Decent hotel for the price. Nothing fancy. Ask for a back room to get away from traffic noise. Friendly staff.

Close to river and beautiful downtown Durango!! Very nice updated rooms right next to the river. Super comfortable beds. Easy walk to downtown Durango - Good wireless connection.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms. The pool water was so cold, you could not swim. I think for the price it was not worth it.
