Very nice employees at this hotel. The hotel was a little older, but clean. Parking garage was nice too. We were there at Mardi Gras. The sirens were going by at night, so a little noisy, but it was Mardi Gras. Walkable distance to French Quarter and parade route. Nice little restaurant and bar in the hotel. I would recommend.

If in town for Saint's game, the place to stay. Location excellent, easy walking distance to and from Superdome, staff very friendly, will recommend anyone staying though to make sure front desk has traveler's credit card info on record when checking in for incedental room charge, or you will have to go to the front desk. This place is great if you are looking to catch a football or basketball game and have money left over the game.

I was only in town for one night on business and chose the hotel based on the fact that I knew it was the one very closest to where I needed to be in the morning. Frankly, I didn't expect or even need much, so I was pleased that it was better than that. The room could have been a bit cleaner but it was tidy and had all the extras in place. I liked that I could get a comfy pillow of my choice. That was a really nice thing that made a big difference. Compared to similar hotels, I found the complimenatry breakfast nothing special but satisfactory and was glad there were choices. I am used to staying at another chain hotel in this class that I have found to be generally good, but based on my experience here, I am willing to check out other Holiday Inns.

Cheap and somewhat close to the French Quarter. The hotel room had everything we needed, nice mattress, TV, shower, and was pretty clean. The hotel is located about five blocks from the French Quarter, a fairly easy walk. The pool on the 8th floor was very nice with lots of seating around the pool. We had breakfast in the hotel when we were recovering from a night in the French Quarter. The restaurant was very good and fairly cheap. Overall we were very satisfied.

My BFF & I wanted to have a get-away and see some pre-season action with our Saints. Naturally, we were concerned about our safety for two women. We could not have been more pleased and would recommend this hotel strongly. The walk to the superdome was short and we felt completely at ease among the many fans. There was a shuttle available from the hotel to go to the other areas of the city and cabs were readily available when the shuttle wasn't there. Rooms were roomy and comfortable and quiet (unlike a lot of rooms in the area of Bourbon St.). After the game and some fun time in the quarters, it was nice to sleep in the next day in our quiet dark rm. Check out was later than some so we slept in. A+++++

The Holiday Inn in New Orleans was clean and the staff was very nice but the room was lacking some major features. The restroom was so small that you barely had room to breath. There was not exhaust fan and the door couldn't close unless you struggled to close it. The room had a coffee pot but no refrigerator or microwave. I don't think I would ever go back to this hotel. I don't recommend it to anyone either.

The toilet did not work, even after service was called. And they need microwaves in each room, for late night popcorn.

The Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome was a nice hotel and the staff was veery helpful in giving us direection around New Orleans. They only thing I did not like was the Shuttle stop at 10:00pm. I did not want to walk in the neighborhood at night. The area still need alot of work.

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and nice! The safe and telephone in the room did not operate. Clean and well-situated, the Downtown Holiday Inn was easy to get to, centrally located, and a fantastic staff that were extremely friendly and helpful, with a strong drive to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Overall grade: A for the star level.

Our stay was nice. It would have been nicer if at check in we would have been informed as to what elevators were working in the parking garage. If you stay do not use the elevators along the outside wall they do not work, you'll stand there forever waiting. The elevators are in the middle of the parking garage

This Holiday Inn is a cut above its other locations and an excellent hotel. The area immediately surrounding the hotel has not fully recovered. This hotel is a gem and the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. A huge mural of a clarinet covers the 18 story side of the hotel, and more art reflecting the NOLA culture appears throughout. There is jazz music in every area, with each elevator having it's own selection of jazz favorites. The diner is just fine: nothing special, but good for a hearty meal. The room accommodations were comparable to a Courtyard by Marriott: newer/nice furnishings, a desk with computer chair, a nice comfortable king size bed, clean bathroom. Apparently feather pillows are available by request but I tried twice and failed - the trick is to ask the maid in person, as housekeeping has the key to the down pillows (not the front desk). The only potential drawback for this hotel is it is surrounded, on all sides, by the only few blocks in the CBD that has not recovered: two empty/damaged high rises with empty shops below. While it would be easy to walk on foot to the CBD, Warehouse District, or even French Quarter, it's hard to feel safe on these few abandoned blocks.

The concierge was very friendly. The room was tucked away in a corner on the top floor. Overall it was a nice hotel.
