The hotel is walking distance from downtown. Parking garage has easy access to the hotel. The pool was very warm and pretty big.

It was very clean. The motel was nice.

The staff at this hotel were very polite and helpful. When ever something came up it was dealt with promptly and professionally. The rooms were very comfortable and homey. It was very nice to go to a hotel and have a fitness center that had so many options to choose from. We were able to get an all around workout while we were there. This hotel is located in a central location which makes it convenient to access the entire city of Des Moines and its surrounding subarbs. We were just minutes from great places to eat and have fun. The hotel also had options for dining in as well as a friendly little lounge. The food service was quick not only in the actual dining room but also when ordering room service. The only negative was that we each had to pick a different entree three times before we found something that they were not out of when we ordered room service for dinner. Overall the experience was great and we would go back there again.

I have NEVER seen a ""party room"" two doors down from a sleeping room , but they have one on the 10th Floor (smoking floor). The party was loud and went to midnight. Otherwise, it was very nice. The employees were very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and well stocked. Good experience overall.

I would so appreciate finding out where I can purchase art similar to what is in your dining room; the 3-D floral pieces.

The room was clean and had two complete bathrooms. The workout room and spa area was older and hard to find. Great hotel in the heart of downtown Des Moines. The double bed room we received had a unique feature in that it had two complete bathrooms. This allowed us to share the room with another person in our group and saved one night's room cost.

The Holiday Inn is next to the interstate but was quiet with the windows closed. It is not with-in walking distance to any restaurants. The hotel restaurant has a salad bar and a buffet that were okay. The property is well maintained and was clean. The front desk staff were not friendly and did not process my bill correctly. I had to ask for directions to my room. I only received directions to the elevator and was on my own after that. The other staff were friendly.

The staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating. It is in need of some updates. In fact, there was water leaking from the skylight into a drip bucket in the lobby. The hotel was incredibly easy to find. The shuttle service took us downtown, which was a huge bonus, since it is located on the opposite side of the interstate from the sky walks. The staff was great, housekeeping even begged us to stay longer! The restaurant was like the rest, sort of perkins-like, (without the decor). Really, it was exactly what you would expect from a Holiday Inn.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn was a pleasant surprise. The last time we had used the hotel was many years ago for state high school tournaments. It was a bit run down and tired. Our experience in Des Moines was quite the opposite and it will be on our list to use in the future!

State basketball kids were loud. Clean, good staff, decent restaurant, kind of expensive but would stay there again.

This is an older hotel. My room was clean and updated. The bathroom was clean and nice. I was there in April and it was hot in the room. The air conditioning was not turned on so it was unavailable. A co-worker called down and got a fan for his room. Also, we were on the interstate side of the building. The noise from traffic was very loud. I think the windows in the room are older and don't keep the sound out. While the hotel is OK I would not stay there again if other comparable alternatives are available.

Location. Pool was less than stellar, child froze in playpen - heat vents on ceiling. It was awfully pricey for what you got - $115 for a pool that was peeling everywhere, no hot tub, a room that reeked of carpet freshener, no coffee pot, and fuzzy TV reception. The location was great if you wanted to be close to downtown - that was a definite perk. I was not impressed, otherwise.

Clean. Highway noise. Hard beds. This hotel did not ofter a free breakfast or even a discount for a meal. The restaurant was very over priced. They need to realize they are in Des Moines Iowa not the miricle mile of Chicago.

Location. Nothing to comment. Great location, no problem with my stay. I'd stay there again.

Convenient location off main expressway, easy checking and checkout. Nice hotel. There is nothing I can say, it was a nice hotel. Hotel was clean and staff was courteous. Room service was convenient; food was good and fairly reasonably priced. I would stay here again, definitely.

The choice of pillows to sleep on. Location. Area was a little run down. Clean rooms, great staff, helpful. Shuttle was nice if you flew in but getting around town the shuttle was pretty worthless because they would only go 3 miles from the hotel and everything was 4+ miles away. Food at the restaurant was ok, nothing spectacular. They have a pool and game room which is nice for the kids. Overall, it was what I expected.

Swimming pool was warm and clean. We was 2 floors below the top floor were there was loud music until midnight. Nice clean hotel, good swimming pool, Food ok, don't get a room on the higher floors if there is a function on at night.

The location was perfect for the downtown business I had to attend to. Looked a little dated, needs some sprucing up, general maintenance. As mentioned in Q15. There was a large crack in the room window, and although the stay was pleasant in general, I think the hotel could benefit from some updating, because its location is perfect for downtown and Mercy medical campus.

Good location. No handicapped parking available. Good service, breakfast buffet was great.

Quick and easy check in and out. A little noisy. We were just overnight staying on to another destination and the hotel met our needs.
