It was clean, service was good and staff was very friendly. I would stay there again if we go back to Huntsville. It was a very quiet room.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of this Holiday Inn. I had read the earlier reviews and was wary--but figured the price was good, so why not? The rooms were very clean and the staff most helpful. Highly underrated and underpriced!

Friendly staff Hot Tub was gross. Water stunk, dirty, and was not hot. Great place for the price. Staff was amazing. Location was great. The hot tub was the only really big upset.

The Good: Location, pleasant check-in staff, well maintained lawn, common areas clean The Bad: Loud hallways, unclean room (coffee grounds from the previous guest still on the counter), hair in the shower (not mine!), room did not appear to have been vacuumed, booked in a non-smoking room but someone had definitely been smoking in there, loud AC/heating wall unit... And the worst was a bad room service experience... First of all, I was put on hold for over 10 minutes (no joke, I started timing it after the bartender that was taking my order laid down the phone to greet and then promptly take 6 drink orders and mix them before picking the phone back up to take my order -- not worrying that my phone call came in before his guests arrived), next of all it took 1 hour and 5 minutes for my food to arrive, when the waiter came in to deliver my food he promptly told me that 16% gratuity was added to the check and that the hotel automatically took $2 of that from his tip (I'm okay with the gratuity -- it was mentioned on the room service menu), but I got the distinct impression that he was wanting me to include more gatuity since the hotel 'took' $2 of his tip. Last of all, the waiter asked that I call room service when I was finished so that they could pick up my tray (no problem), however, 20 minutes after the food was initially delivered, he called to see if I would place my tray outside of my room so that he could pick it up (I had not even touched a bite of the food at that point). I would definitely not recommend this hotel to ANYONE (for buisiness or pleasure).

Hotel was exactly as it appeared on line and better than expected of a Holiday Inn. Hotel rooms layout was a bit confusing when getting off elevators, mainly 3rd floor. Most Holiday Inns are a bit mild away and either at or below average, however, this one exceeded my expectations. Inside interior was much more attractive than outer appearance. Very nice lobby and restaurant, rooms were very spacious. Staff was extremely friendly over the phone, but once I arrived. I stood at the front desk approximately 10 minutes before anyone even greeted/acknowledged me. They were in the middle of a shift change, still no excuse. It was very confusing finding my room from certain elevators. The layout was very awkward.

"Right across the street from the convention center, but rooms could be cleaner and restaurant food not as good as I expect. Grounds very well maintained. Reception desk could be better manned."

Location. No hot water at one point. No water at all at another.I doubt it was the hotel's fault, but it was inconvenient nonetheless.

Location. The staff was unfriendly and not very helpful.

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly. The hot tub was like warm at best, and that was part of the reason for choosing the hotel. The hotel was nice and clean. It was starting to show its age a little but very well kept. The staff were friendly but could have been a little more knowledgeable. For the price it was fair, the pool was clean, but the hot tub was cold which really bothered us because that was the reason we stayed there. Beyond that it was pretty nice.

I enjoyed having room service. The food was inexpensive and good. The air conditioning was a unit and did not work very well.

Comfortable beds. Bad plumbing. Had to change a room since the shower has only Luke warm water. Sometimes I had to run the water for 30 minutes before hot water comes up. Never know whether I will get Luke warm water or hot water when I take a shower.

The food in the restaurant. The dirty carpet and furnishing in the room and lobby.

Location and parking. Public restrooms were not spotless. This is a hotel that is showing its age.

I really felt safe. My room did not have cold water. I like the hotel. I did not realized it was 10 minutes ride to University of Alabama. I really was looking for something that was close the University. This is convenient if all your activities are downtown. My head hit the pillows and I was out like the light. I will like a pair of those pillows.

Very close proximity to interstate and other amenities. Can't think of anything in particular. Good stay. I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions now and have never been disappointed. Good employees, great beds. Good times.

Pricey restaurant. This is an older hotel, but well maintained and the rooms were very spacious. The TVs need updating but the room was a good value for the money.

The rooms are very nice and big! It is our advice to you not to go to the restaurant inside the hotel! The hotel staff was very nice and the hotel is very pretty. It sits across from a nice lake and some of there feathered friends were on the sidewalk at the hotel to greet us). The restaurant on the other hand, states that children 12 and your Eat Free. So we went to eat breakfast upon our leaving and we were asked if all 4 of us were going to eat at the buffet. Sure that will be fine. We get our bill it was $39.00 for breakfast.

Rooms are large. No hot water entire stay, poor climate control. Older hotel in fair shape. They couldn't put me in a king even though I put the request in over a month before my stay. Climate control is not good. TV was very nice and had good selection of movies on demand. Not bad, but not very impressed either.

Helpful staff. The rooms are dated and ready for a refurb. The staff were very helpful.

Room was clean and in good repair. Appointments don't appear as luxurious as other hotels in class, but the beds were still very comfortable. Food is good if over- priced.
