Dated motel, but good value.A bit faded and dated, but all serviceable and efficient. Food in the restaurant expensive, bar meal adequate and enjoyable. Wifi horribly expensive, and 'free' service from public rooms not working.

We were very pleased with the acommodation - just one comment on that - it would have been better if we hadn't had to walk so far to our room as my husband suffers from arthritis, heart and lung problems. The restaurant service was excellent, the staff courteous and prompt to deal with us. Our food was also excellent, well presented and hot. We would have preferred to give a tip to the waiter who served us, rather than the 3% 'tray'charge. However, all in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn. (Another thought that comes to mind, is finding the locastion when coming in over the M1 - clearer signposting on the roundabout at Junction 25 would have eased our approach journey.

Good value stop offDecided to stay here after reviewing other Nottingham hotels. Easy to find in convienent location. Ample free parking, unlike many other Nottingham hotels. Hotel clean, room v good size and despite a coach party being booked in, very quiet. Food surprisingly good in 'Traders' restaurant if a little pricey. (Set 3 course meal £20). Drinks at bar also a bit expensive - £3.35 a pint, but only to be expected I suppose.

A standard Holiday Inn room, clean & well equipped. Ideal for a one night stay which is what we wanted. Helpful night porter who let us in to the hotel in the wee small hours on our return from the party we had travelled to attend.

Got a room for £39.Checked in and was given the worng room- a smoking room, which smelt ungodly. Moved to a single as no non smoking doubles left. Bed uncomfortable. The bed had a 'pillow menu', with choice of 5 pillows. Tried a medium down pillow. Just as well have been a bag of hedge trimmings, it was awful. The synthetic one in the room was a pretty rubbish too. Why bother with a pillow menu when all the options are so poor? Room was clean but the whole place is a souless affair. At the check in desk they proudly display the full price list. £120 a night for a room? What is it with the UK and hotel prices? £39 is about right had breakfast been included. If you must go, take your own pillow.

I had booked a twin room for myself and my teenage son . . . . when we arrived and found the room had a double bed, neither of us were amused!!! In fairness, the hotel sorted us out straight away with no fuss and provided us with two single rooms with no hassle

Hotel is very easy to find, clearly laid out and with good access for all age groups, food very good but prices are on the high side fof what you get.

Room OK some of the furniture a bit chipped, but bathroom had black mould growing inbetween tiles all over the bathroom not just by shower-very unsightly. Also at night there was an unpleasant smell. Even though the room was quite cheap this, I believe is unacceptable. We advised thier customer relations dept. on leaving.

Poor checking in. Delay and then wrong room given. No apology when room had to be changed from smoking to non-smiking, as originally requested.

Dissappointed with the service and food in the restaurant wihich was very poor. Single guy wants to eat half decent food and be in and out with little or no fuss. Forget it if there is a coach party staying that night. I would have got better service at a Premier Inn or small family hotel. Over priced food, might as well gone to Asda and made a picnic, cheaper and nicer tasting.
