The Holiday Inn Dayton Mall was not a good experience. The room was only adequately clean and the ceiling tile was falling down in the bath room area - very obvious to anyone but still they rented this room (I did not complain to management). The water would go from hot to cold without even touching the faucet so you never knew what to expect. For a hotel in such a good area of Dayton, I really expected more. I felt that overall the place looked in real need some a serious upgrade. I visit this area at least once a year and have taken note of the other properties. I will not stay here again.

Had both rooms facing Holidome and quiet rooms. Slightly dirtier carpets and common areas than last year. The hotel is frequently used by organizations with kids so there is a lot of kid traffic, especially in the Holidome area. Suggest you request a room not facing into the Holidome if you want peace and quiet. In my opinion the hotel is very overpriced unless you get a heavy Priceline discount. There is no continental breakfast which would have offset some of the high cost of the hotel. Especially when you factor in that there are many good hotels in the area. Also I found the common areas, such as halls, to be slightly dirtier than when I stayed here last year. The staff, however, was very friendly and helpful. Even the maid staff was able to answer questions about aspects of the hotel, which is very unusual.

My husband and I stayed with our two cats, and we were treated very well. We thought perhaps there may be a problem with having a pet but the staff was great. We were charged 30 for the pets but that was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem we experienced was with other guests with dogs who did not clean up after them, but the problem was minimal.

Great location. Friendly front-desk staff. Kind of run-down. The room A/C did not work. Was hot all night. The bed was also uncomfortable. The maid came into the room at 8:30 in the morning and we were still sleeping. For a holidome, the hotel did not have many amenities besides the pool.

We stayed here with a boys hockey team over the weekend. There was a lot for the boys to do and they had a great time. The beds were very comfy. The hotel is a little outdated but overall it was an ok stay. I would stay again if we play hockey there in the future.

Close to work, Had the Sci-Fi channel a plus for me. Excessive black mold in bath. Worn linens, patches in sheets, black mold in bath (Probably 15- 20 min to clean). Pealing paint, dingy carpet, Poor lighting. The sweeper bag was never emptied and the room with dust. Iron was caked with starch (couldn't use). Needs a complete rehab.

Not a pet friendly hotel....we checked out and went to the Homewood Suites across the way...it was a new hotel for a little more, and they accepted our pet.

The location, price and facilities. Hallways were in need of updating. This hotel is very reasonable with nice facilities but it does need some remodeling. The rooms were clean and nice.

I have to wonder if the other people writing these reviews stayed at the same hotel I did. Bathroom ceiling tiles falling down. Bugs crawling on walls & floor. Towels? What towels? Lack of security at night. I travel a lot.

Convenient. Outdated. Especially the bathrooms. It's an okay place. I'd stay again.

Location right off the expressway. Hallways appeared dirty and unattractive. No comment.

Clean and comfortable. The Holidome area was nice. N/a Clean and comfortable, not particularly fancy.

Room service was good, food was well too. Very dirty, ventilation was poor, urine on floor in bathroom. I had a horrible experience at this particular Holiday Inn. We went away for the night to relax and sit in the hot tub or swim. The pool and hot tub were closed do to maintenance There was no warning. The rooms were very dirty, the ventilation was very poor, we had a smoking room, the return air vent had so much dirt on it that no air was able to pass through it. There we electrical extension cords in the room which is very dangerous. The only sink, in the bathroom area had dirt all over it and the coffee pot had coffee from the previous people.

Central location, close to malls, restaurants and interstates. 20 years or more old hotel. Good location, service and staff.

Location was great. air worked well. Pool area dirty the hotel seems worn. The hotel looks abused peeling paint. The sidewalls to the pool were filthy. Towels strewn around pool. Carpet worn. Ceiling tile out in bathroom alcove. Beds soft.

Beds were comfortable - three fluffy pillows! Not enough directional signs - to elevators, etc. Having the pool in the center was lovely, but because it is open until 11:00, it is quite noisy for guests who need to get to sleep!

Rooms were very quiet. Pool was very small and deck area not maintained Very typical Holiday Inn. Nothing spectacular. Very run of the mill other than the pool left a lot to be desired. Also the service in the Bar area was terrible and they weren't even busy.

Nice room, comfortable bed, Internet router access. No real exhaust fan in restroom. A very nice place to stay. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Convenience to clients, restaurants and shopping. Nothing that I can think of. Good size clean room with great access to restaurants and shopping, while being close to the interstate and my clients.

I enjoyed the wireless internet for my laptop. The bedding was comfortable. Ample Parking. No Complimentary breakfast, No refrigerator or microwave for certain perishable foods. Poor location of Ice machine. I enjoyed the free wireless internet speed connection for my laptop and I liked the bedding very much. But the bathroom could have been more spacious and more updated in the modern sense. The bath tub and shower head looked very dingy and moldy. I wish they could have giving a free complimentary breakfast instead of joining some special membership club. I wish there were more room amenities like a fridge, microwave. I liked the fact that there was a iron and ironing board in the room though. However the location of the ice machine was poor.
