We've stayed at many Holiday Inns in out time. We decided to pop in for a family Thanksgiving get together and was pleasantly surprised. It was close to every kind of store you can imagine, including the highway since we had more visiting to do. We were allowed to smoke (which we wish we didn't but we do!) and you would never know we were in a smoking room accept for the ashtrays. Smelled fresh and was very clean. They let us check out late and we had a complimentary breakfast buffet that was delicious in the dining room with gas fire! Can't beat it for the money and location!

Location, right off the highway. Noisy nightclub and noisy fan/AC unit in room. It was o.k., clean, everything worked. AC noise was ridiculous. Location was good. Staff was o.k. breakfast was better than expected.

I've stayed at the location 3 times. They have always been warm, welcoming and friendly. Most of all, they treat my Standard Poodle, Gaspar, as part of the family. The hot breakfast is usually good with lot's of choices. The one problem I had, cold eggs, they took care of immediately. They have a nice Bar, however its very busy on the weekends which stretches their parking lot quite a bit. In the past, If it's too busy, they have valeted my car.

The bed was good, cable TV also. Curtains in room old. Overall, good.

The place needs renovating. Breakfast bar was not very good. Eggs seemed to be powdered type. Room was very noisy with the fan running on and off all night.

The staff was eager to please. Only one person to check people in means long wait times. I arrived at 10:15pm to a line four people deep with only one person at the front desk. There's a club off the lobby so there was a lot of noise and drunk people around. Parking was reduced to illegal spaces on the grass. The hotel was overbooked and there was some question as to whether our 2 rooms were ready. The front desk clerk kept his cool and was very professional even though there were lots of tired and stressed-out people in front of him. We got to our rooms 30min after arrival. The rooms were fine, what you would expect from a holiday inn. However, the radio alarm went off at 5am from whoever had stayed there before us. That was unpleasant. I appreciated the coffee and fruit basket right outside the elevator so we could grab a quick pick-me-up on our way out early the next morning.

Combined business/vacation. First they sent us to a room that was already occupied. The room they moved us to had a lot of mildew in the bath. I'm not germophobic, but I expected the room to be clean. The whole place smells old and musty. The carpets in the halls are quite dirty. The free continental breakfast was marginal at best. On the positive side, the staff was pleasant.

Pleasant staff. Average experience - except for being chased by the large dog. Smell of dog in the room. 2 large dogs ran down hall late at night. One went after me, and I had to run out a side exit. This hotel is convenient to the highway. Service was pleasant but not extraordinary. Roll away bed was in room, as requested, but we had to order extra blankets. (The staff at the Holiday Inn in Hadley, MA where we stayed for the next 2 nights was altogether in a different class - professional, very friendly, bent over backwards to help. A great example of the difference a positive customer service attitude can make - even at a humble Holiday Inn). The Danbury Holiday Inn was an OK place to stay for a few hours - but I wouldn't want to be there any longer than that. The bar was loud and seemed to cater to a young crowd. I was concerned about noise at first. (I was exhausted and traveling with two autistic spectrum kids - ages 6 and 11). But the hotel rooms were far enough away that we weren't disturbed, and we all slept soundly. One semi-odd thing about this place - they pipe music out to the parking lot. I've never seen *that* in a hotel before, Also, the male staff members wear very hip 'Holiday Inn' neckties, with a nostalgia motif, This chain seems to have gone a long way in the right direction. (Note: I can't get the riff of that song "Chilling' at the Holiday Inn" out of my head whenever I stay at one. Anyone else have that problem?)

"Hotel was a little dated. However, it was clean and rooms were big. There is a club on the first floor of the Hotel and the parking lot gets loud around 2am on a Saturday night. I would stay again."

Convenience Restaurant/Lounge. Early check-in time. Few ice machines inconveniently located on OTHER FLOORS necessitating a run up the stairs. Hallways smelled BAD. It's not nearly as nice as the Marriott Courtyard across the street. BUT the Lounge and the 2pm check-in time make it a winner.

"We stayed here with our two labs on the way home from our Canadian vacation. Very nice staff, very comfy beds and quiet. Only problem was finding a ""green grassy"" place to walk the dogs. Would stay here again though."

The staff was awesome and the hotel restaurant is amazing! The ice machine on our floor just happened to be out of order during our stay. This is a great hotel for families with children, as kids eat free at Holiday Inn properties. That is perfect for the Danbury Holiday Inn because their in-house restaurant, Teddy's, is absolutely fabulous! Great locale, free van pick-up from Danbury train station and to and from any area attraction within 10 miles! Awesome experience!

Best breakfast at a hotel in a while for me. Complimentary too. Great. The hotel was undergoing extensive renovations which made the public areas and hallways very dirty with construction materials. The room was great.

The hotel was not very clean and our room smelled I would not want to stay at this hotel again - I am a very clean person and the hallways were unclean and our room was very smelly - I had to buy spray and air freshners for our room

The hotel room's bathroom was grungy, with mildew on the ceiling. I was disappointed in the hotel for many reasons. Although the room I stayed in was away from the road so there was no road noise, there seemed to be a number of very rude people staying in the hotel. I was awoken twice during the night by people yelling in the hallway outside my door. There were no less than 3 people having conversations on their cell phones in the restaurant during our dinner and it was disruptive. A little more management in those areas would have made for a better experience. The bathroom needed a serious upgrade. There was no fan, and there was mildew on a large portion of the ceiling.

The hotel room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Also the hotel had a nightclub which was fun. Room included breakfast but the times were not listed in the room and no one mentioned Sunday breakfast ends at 10:00 (Sat it ends at 11:00) The hotel is conveniently located off a major highway and is close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are updated and include cable TV. Hotel offers room service and has a restaurant and bar/nightclub. It also has an outdoor pool.Lots of parking is available.
