My partner and I stayed here for three nights to celebrate his birthday. We took BART from SFO to the hotel (30 minutes and 5.35pp, much cheaper than a cab), the civic center stop is a half a block away. The outside of the hotel looked a bit old, but we were completely satisfied with the size and cleanliness of our room (14th floor king bed w/balcony). The location is great, just off of Market, so if you want to walk to Downtown, SOMA, or the Castro, the hills aren't too bad. Market st is a bit sketchy for a few blocks, but we didn't have any problems. Our only complaint was the internet service via the TV. Acess is 9.95 per day, but when we tried to use it we were kicked back to the TV menu. The front desk acknowledged that the internet service is an ongoing issue and will be resolved soon. They removed the charge from the bill without a hassle. We will definetly stay here again.

Hotel had undergone some recent renovation. Room was nice recently renovated. The lady checking me was not the friendliest but the did let me check in 3 hours early no problem. The housekeeping staff was very friendly always a "Hi how are you today" if you seen them in the hallways. You may see some homeless people but they do not bother you. I did not feel unsafe anytime day or night. From what I have seen no more homeless than anyother part of the city. Muni and Bart are almost at the front door. Over all a very good stay.

The pillows. Location and under construction, dirty showers, no ironing board, had to call lobby several times. Won't be staying here again unless it's for free.

I was looking for an affordable hotel downtown close to the Moscone Center. It was just a few blocks away -- no more than fifteen minutes away. It was a bit old, but very clean. The Trolleys and subway are right there as well. Under the same circumstances, I would stay there again. I did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked fine. Note: parking is 30/day.

It was very convenient for going to see "Wicked" at the Orpheum. Quite adequate in that respect but we could hear sirens during the night.

Room rate was good, but they never mentioned the 27 a day for parking, and a charge to use the business office.

I stayed at the hotel for 8 nights. Everything was ok until the last two days of my stay. On Friday night I got my finger pressed by the door of the elevator and I went to the manager to complain about it, in other words he said that it was my fault. I left my rental car at the hotel parking during all the time. On Saturday morning someone broke my car's windows and took my GPS device. At the hotel parking! When I went to reception to complain they said that they cannot do anything and it was my entire problem! Never again I'll stay at this hotel in San Francisco... Never !

Absolutely nothing the rudest most unreasonable staff I have ever dealt with. In one word everything it all started with the rude desk staff. Do not stay here. I have never dealt with ruder hotel staff and I travel fairly often.

Full service hotel, we used the valet parking provided.. the front desk was friendly and curteous at check in. The bellman helping us with our bags was cheerful and offered neighborhood restaurant information. The rooms were clean and the views of the cityscape were amazing. Room service was delivered promptly and the food was delicious. No complaints, we had a lovely stay.

Great location, clean pool, courteous staff, all was great except there is ongoing construction that was too noisy no matter where in hotel you were located.

Iliked the fact that they are renovating. The first room was a smoking room and smelled of smoke but they were happy to change me to a non-smoking room.

The hotel was in a very good location. It was quick and easy to get to the cable cars, trollies, ferry, and BART. Upscale shopping was within walking distance. The restaurant inside the hotel was pretty good, too! The only complaint we have is that there were flies in the room the first of the four days were were there. Parking was rather expensive -- * a day for hotel guests! Otherwise, it was clean, convenient, and customer friendly!

I checked in and thought I would get one king bed and was given room with two bed. It's not a big deal and was given good service and the staff didn't give me so much of a hard time.

My first impression when I walked into the room was elegant. I was able to relax in luxury and quietness. The restaurant, it smelled like Chinese. There were no prices in the room for continental breakfast. There was no one tending the bar, undesirable. The hotel was under reconstruction, the room was adequate to my needs. Restaurant was undesirable. I will shop elsewhere for another hotel with more to offer.

The price for the hotel was great, had no problem with my overall stay BUT it was too expensive for breakfast $16.00 was not worst it for the price. Easy access to catch a bus or if you wanted to walk it was easy access to get something to eat or shop.

Pretty convenient location. $33 for one night of parking is high. The hotel is being remodeled and the lobby area is messy. The parking fee is $33 with tax for self park!

The hotel was clean, and the staff were professional, but hotel parking was a pain. I rented a car to get to the hotel, and the hotel parking garage wouldn't let me in until I had already checked in. How I was supposed to check in before parking is a mystery to me. In the end, I parked at a public parking nearby, which was probably a good thing, seeing as it was more expensive to park in the hotel garage, anyway.
