Correct room. Situated 15 minutes walk from the center.

What a great location! There was an entrance to the hotel from the subway, which was only 2 stops or a great 10-15 minute walk to city center. It was also within walking distance to some museums and parks. There was a 24 hour convenience store next door to the hotel and a grocery store and drug store, among other stores, on your way to the subway, all without having to go outside. The staff of the hotel were very helpful and pleasant. The only negative thing I can say is there is only 2 English speaking channels on the T.V. and they were both news stations.

Comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Location was a bit out of the way from the main attractions.

Great value, great location, easy access to subway. Family friendly, outstanding breakfast buffet. I have had many hit or miss hotel experiences in Munich, but this was a great place and I will definately be back. Only one disapointment was that it did not have a fitness room, but there was a gym very close by that was 10 euro.

Munich Hotel next to GasteigHoliday Inn right next to the Gsteig - tube station very nearby which most people would need to travel to town which is alternatively a 20 min walk.Nice clean hotel with decent pool, great breakfast, pleasant staff who allowed late check out till 3pm Room basic but comfortable and clean, good shower - satyed on one of the 2 priority club floors which might be bit better than the rest?Overall, excellent for a conference in the Gasteig

Great location, walking distance to the historic center and tourist attractions, restaurants (including Hofbrauhouse) and S-Bahn station is less than a block (3 min) away. Staff was friendly and spoke great English. Check-in took forever (maybe because I was there right at 2 pm and the line was long) Rooms were clean, pool was an average size

The hotel lounge was a nice area to dine or just have coffee. The internet was too expensive. The location of hotel was very central and the food was better than most of hotels.

As a family of 5, with three young children (11, 6, 4), this was the perfect hotel. We were able to get a connecting room and they gave us a free extra bed so the kids could each have their own beds in one room and we had a queen in the other. We had a lovely view of Munich from our 9th floor window. The breakfast was everyone's favorite. It had an abundant buffet of choices. That really helped start the day off to a good start. The kids loved the pool. Very clean and well attended. The front desk spoke English and were very helpful and provided maps and directions. There is a gas station/convenience store right next to the hotel if you need to buy bottles of water or snacks. Also, in the lower part of the hotel, as you approach the trains, there is a Hit grocery store, Aldi grocery store (cash only), as well as a Subway and other restaurants and shops. Another great feature was that the S-train station is right below the building, so there's no need to take a taxi. With the five of us, we were able to get a partner ticket from the airport right to the hotel for 18 euros. Also, for 9 euros a day, all of us were able to use all the transportation all day. It's a great city and we can't wait to go back again. We'll definitely stay at Holiday in again.

Holiday Inn Munich June 09Very happy with our stay at this hotel. We arrived early (about 11.00 am) and were immediately allocated our room without having to wait until 2.00pm. The room was very clean as was the bathroom. Location of the hotel is excellent as you just get the S Bahn from the airport which brings you into Rosenplatz shopping centre and the Holiday Inn is within the shopping centre - it was really easy to find and also for getting the train back to the airport it was great. All staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We enquired about a restaurant one evening and they recommended the Gast which is just across the road and was excellent. Check out was very quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there myself again.

Location was crtical in my selecting the hotel. It had great access to subway, stores and center city. There was a refrigerator but it was unuseable for use in chilling water etc. Staff was most helpful, would stay again. Big draw back is that room rate escalated on Monday (2.5 times). Not worth the value at that rate;would therefore stay outside city center and commute on next trip there

Location. Not a 4 star hotel. Hotel was average. Only upside was the location convenience. Asked for a king/queen sized bed and was given a double. Service was slow and rude, particularly for what one would expect for a 4 star hotel.

The hotel was very clean and very nice. We stayed here for Octoberfest so it was a bit of a madhouse, but the hotel was quick at checking us in. It was very convenient to shops, food and very much city central. No complaints and would rate this hotel as a 9 out of a 10. This website had the best rate that we could find anywhere.

March in MunichThe hotel was exelent, food accomodation & value for money was great. Transtortation was also excellent as the hotel is connected to the S Bahn by an under pass.

The Munich City Center was a great stay, however...they have got to be kidding about the breakfast! Most hotels and inns in Germany include breakfast in your stay. The Holiday Inn tries to dupe you into a 30 dollar per person one! Please.

The area. Poor rooms. No check-out staff available, after 15 minutesI left the keys there without haven spoken to anyone, other 10 guests also waited for a check-out. Miserable, poor rooms - I had no fun in this poor hotel.

We were in Europe for 17 days, part of which was spent in Munich. This hotel was perfect. The S-Bahn station was located under the hotel along with an entire shopping area, complete with a grocery store. The hotel itself was very clean, the rooms that we stayed in were huge, even by US standards. We had a 2 room suite that included a door seperating the bedroom from the living room/office area. Everything was clean and well maintained. Make sure you get breakfast included with your room, otherwise it will cost 20 Euro per person (kids eat free with a paying adult), but the breakfast buffet had great selections including traditional local fare. Watch out for hidden fees. Internet service is not free, and WiFi isn't available in the rooms, so you have to use the cable provided to connect. Also, we wanted to use the mini bar refrigerator for personal use, and were charged 20 Euro to have room service come and remove the items. It was an electronic mini bar, so as soon as you took something out, it was automatically charged to your room. Overall, a great experience.

Great view. A little far from the center of town, but near subway. Great view, nice bathroom, very nice staff, and a happening bar at 2:00 am. Close to subway, and only a 15-20 minutes walk to the center of town anyway. For the money, I don't know how I could be more pleased. Would definitely recommend for US customer over staying in a hostel any day.

All staff spoke 3 languages if not more (including English). Very helpful at front desk with subway and train information. S bahn train stop under hotel!! This was perfect for easy traveling to BMW Welt, the zoo, Olympic Stadium, and the Airport. Note: Take the S bahn or U bahn to the Airport and Save your self 55 Euros! Very easy walk to museums, shops, and marienplatz. We had a gorgeous view from our 6th floor room of the Deutches Museum & Marienplatz towers. Rooms were spotless, bathroom was big. Best of all they have a pillow menu! Would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others.

Great hotel. The staff was excellent. The location was great due to closeness of city center and ease of public transportation.

Stayed in this hotel primarily because of positive reviews here and elsewhere, which were pretty accurate. Loved the location because of the underground station under the hotel which was convenient especially when coming home late at night - two stops to Marienplatz and convenient if you are flying in and out of the Munich Airport. There's also a supermarket in the underground complex to buy water, snacks, etc. The minibar charges are exhorbitant (0.5 l bottle for 7 Euros!). Bed was comfortable, and they had a choice of pillows...nice touch. Bathroom was very clean. No safe in the room but iron/board available. I had used room service on my first night - it was fast but food was not so good. Breakfast buffet was standard/ok but a bit steep (for USD earners!) at 19 Euros. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel and would stay here again if I am ever in Munich.
