We loved the staff who were so welcoming on our arrival and the hotel was superb. We did not really like the access to the hotel. I have stayed in Holiday Inns around the world and I must say this hotel has the best service. The staff was friendly, helpful and always have a smile on their face. The luxurious decor of the lobby and beautiful room would be another thing I love about the hotel.

The hotel is away from Chiang Mai and town centre and not really close to anything so you have to take a tuk-tuk whenever you want to go anywhere. The hotel facilities are dated but the service is good.

We stayed 3 nights at the Sheraton Chiang Mai. Our room was not clean. The breakfast buffet was average. Otherwise, the restaurants were OK, but very expensive compared to other restaurants in Chiang Mai. The staff spoke good English, but most seemed to be new hires, inexperienced, and stressed out. The location is poor, far from the city and the sights. You will need to take a cab or hire a tour guide.

The room was large, and the beds were comfortable. However the hotel could need some refurbishing, it seems a bit old. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good. It is only a short ride into the city. Ask for a taxi at the reception or grab a tuk-tuk outside. We would stay there again.
