The Holiday Inn - Chesapeake is very conveniently located to The Cal Ripken Baseball Stadium Complex. I travel extensively during the summer with both my son and daughter's travel baseball and softball teams. This was not a fantastic first experience with this facility. We arrived in the Aberdeen area early in the morning for an 8:30AM game. Following the game we thought we would try to check-in (11AM) or at least check our bags and use the pool facility to cool down from the hot (96F) weather before the next game. We were told this wasn't possible, and that we couldn't even be checked into a dirty room. We drove around the area to stay cool in our air-conditioned vehicle, then went to the next baseball game. We checked in to the hotel in the afternoon. Prior to going out to dinner with the team, both my husband and I took naps - laying on the top cover of the bed. The room was large, not exactly spacious, but the carpet seemed a bit grungy compared to the newer drapery, bed covers, bathroom, etc. We left for dinner, returned, and at about 11AM decided to go to bed. The one double bed was fine, however a tremendously horrid odor (stinky, unwashed body parts in very private areas!!!) wafted up from the bed when the bedspread/blankets/sheets were turned down! It was overpowering! We called down to the front desk - were told that there were no rooms to be moved to - and a security guard was sent up to the room with a can of spray and a change of sheets that he literally dropped-off. We were told that we had to change the bed linens ourselves! I requested a new mattress pad and completely stripped the bed...only to find that the mattress was the problem...not the linens. When the guard returned, we had him remove the linens, spread the new mattress pad over the bed to contain the smell, and used a can of Oust we had brought to keep the smell at bay. We sent our son to sleep in another room, and we shared the remaining bed. We were extremely disappointed with our stay...

Service, room quality, aged hotel. At check-in, the only room available was a smoking room. The staff at the front desk was unable (or unwilling) to find a standard non-smoking room. This bothered me greatly. And to make matters worse the hotel staff could have cared less. The following morning the front desk (different staff) did find me a non smoking room, although the door to this room had a gap at the bottom large enough to roll a baseball under and the air conditioning unit did not work.

We usually stay at this hotel when traveling from Mass to Florida. We love it. Front desk is always pleasant and helpful in many ways. The dining room for dinner.the food was not great, but the waitress', xxx and xxx were the best. The breakfast bar was just ok, but hey it is free. Would definately stay here again.

Hotel was neat and clean. Over all good stay, even though they were remodeling was still easy to get around.

First the hotel desk was rude on directions and rude at check in she was going to charge us again for the room even though we prepaid online. we gave our credit card for insidentals, and they charged our credit card again for the room. we went to the desk to clear it up and were informed because we prepaid online we paid $30.00 MORE for the room, than had we walked in and got the room. now we have to wait to get the credit of $126.00 back in our bank for them recharging our room. the complementary breakfast buffet was so cold and old that it was uneatable. we stopped and got a breakfast sandwich elseware. I don't think we will use travel agency or holiday inn again.

The Holiday Inn ABERDEEN-CHESAPEAKE HOUSE is a very clean kept up hotel. The room was larger than expected with high speed internet. What was nice was the fact of having a large desk and adjustable chair with which to work at. The television was a larger screen than expected with full clarity. The bathroom was very large with nice granite countertop. What was really nice was the bathroom was clean. No spots or stains anywhere with large mirrors. The staff was very friendly and most helpfull even giving out cookies and candy as treats. I liked the fact that this hotel is close enough to a couple of restaraunts that you can walk to with shopping close by. One of the best things about this hotel is it is family and business friendly. If I have the chance to visit Maryland again, I would definately use this hotel again and refer anyone to use this hotel.

Unruly enlisted personnel across the hall, kept us up all night. Everything was fine up till the last night when a group of unruly enlisted men were partying i. We called down to the front desk, but nothing happened. They were literally pound on the doors, very scary to be that close to drunken men.

My husband is temporarily stationed in Aberdeen and we stayed there before his station check-in. I absolutely loved this hotel. The breakfast bar was good. It was quiet and spacious. I would and will defiently stay at this hotel again!!

This hotel is ok considering the others in the area are worse. We travel to this area yearly for a weekend convention and have stayed in other hotels nearby. Room amenities are nice and beds are comfortable, free breakfast needs a larger area to accommodate everyone, especially when there are alot of kids there for various sports. We were consistently left short on towels and toiletries since there were 3 of us in the room. Location close to I95 easy off and on Shopping and dining close too

"It was new or renovated and nice. Good service, nice rooms, a paper delivered mornings and a great buffet served at breakfast - eggs, potatoes, cereal, bagels, etc. And it was free. We stayed there four days and enjoyed."

Contintental breakfast and heated pool. Our room was over a banquet hall and it was very loud at night. The hotel accommodations were nice and the location was convenient. The hot continental breakfast was nice. I did not like the fact that we were placed in a room above the banquet hall and we were subject to the very loud music of a live band until almost 1:00 in the morning. With a small child in the room, I should have received some sort of warning from the hotel staff.

The reason why we selected this hotel was of it's indoor pool and spa. The pool was filthy and the spa was broke all 4 nights we were there. Needless to say we were VERY dissapointed.......

Location. Dated property. Not a 3 star. Just okay. Did not meet my expectations on start level. 5 to 2 at best.

The casino was ok. They didn't help us find entertainment. Bathroom was funky. The casino was nice enough. It's not close to the boardwalk, and you would have to pay to go Downtown on the shuttle which you have to earn points for by spending in the casino, or drive down. It's kind of a pain. The bathroom tile mildewed, and rust was coming down from the handrail. It was only slightly cheaper than some of the others.

Location. Charged me for the room, although it was paid. Inexperienced staff led to confusion over the fact that the room had been paid for in advance. A bit of a mess to clear up with the front desk.

Was convenient, price was right. It is not a 3 star hotel. Was adequate, not upscale. Hotel was clean, service was good. Hotel is not a 3 star hotel, so don't go in with that expectation.

Well balanced facility. No keno, no internet in rooms. A little over priced. Had a pleasant stay. Would stay again.

They welcome you with cookies upon arrival. Rooms are dark. Although this hotel suited my needs for my business travel, I would not stay again. I was put in a smoking room which was actually not so bad. However well ventilated the room is it still gets in your clothes. The lobby is nice but small, but rooms, hallways, restaurant very dark - very little light. I did not feel very comfortable my entire stay. But rooms and bathrooms are clean and well-kept.
