This is an extremely nice Inn. The room was exceptionally clean and smelled fresh. The bed was the best I've ever slept on at an Inn. The service was spectacular and the food was scrumptious. Thank you to the entire staff during my stay.

Great location near the UNC Hospital, which we were visiting. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and worked to meet our needs. Nice to have a restaurant on site with long hours and good variety. Free shuttle to hospital.

We were visiting the area to look at colleges for our son. We had a lot of visits planned around the area with many different directions to go. The staff at the hotel could not have been any more accommodating. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. The location was great, our room was clean and comfortable. After the long days of touring schools we looked forward to coming back and having a great meal in the sports bar.

"This hotel definitely has spirit. College cheer songs were playing outside & inside. UNC memorabilia & souvenirs for purchase in lobby. Room smelled like smoke. Staff happily moved us to a clean, comfortable room. Hotel is old & needs updating. Room service exceeded my expectations. Food was cheap & arrived quickly & hot. Delicious quesadillas & corn chowder! Very nice pool area. Nightly guest activities, such as grilling hot dogs by pool. Received invitation, but didn't see anyone;perhaps they canceled because nobody showed up. Don't pay full price. Great for students,sports-fans, families."

The hotel has been in Chapel Hill for many years, and obviously, that can't be ignored. However, it was very clean and well maintained. The staff was great and friendly. We did have a refrigerated, which was nice.

It had a comfortable bed. Bathroom ceiling tiles were falling apart. The room itself was nice, but the bathroom was not so great. The ceiling tiles were falling apart and some appeared to be water damaged. The curtains were quite thin, and so I was unable to darken out the incredibly bright street light which was outside my window. There was a shady looking convenience store across the street with bars on the windows that stayed open until 2 am. The vibration of the air conditioner was quite loud. The lobby was very nice; it had a fun sports theme. The restaurants looked very nice but I did not use them. The staff was very kind and incredibly helpful. The night watchman gave me directions when the ones I was given failed to take me to the hotel.

Holiday Inn Chapel Hill is a good place to stay if you're on a budget and you enjoy being near shopping and Franklin Street. The only problem with my stay was that the hotel cleaning staff woke me up at 7am with loud talking. There is a shuttle service that will take you to the shopping areas and Franklin Street, but they seemed to stop running by 4pm which means you have to take a taxi back to the hotel (it's a little pricey for a cab for such a short distance). Otherwise, comfortable, clean stay.

Nice bed. Messy corridor balconies, congested parking lot. Well located for car traveler, convenient to downtown Chapel Hill, beds were comfortable. It doesn't have much to recommend it as better than the 2 star choices on Priceline, which doesn't mean it's bad, just means you should pick the 2 star and save some money.

"I recommend this hotel. The front desk person was on the phone when I arrived and I had to wait about 5 minutes for him to hang up before I could check in, but otherwise everything was great. The room is nothing great but it was clean and comfortable."

Leaving. Dirty - mold. Room had mold - this was no 2 1/2 hotel it was a motel. Holiday inn should pull the franchise.
