Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 5 star staff! Traveling alone with children I found restaurant staff very helpful. Delighted to find a coffee maker and a small fridge in my room. Desk chair was very uncomfortable so not good for work. Whole foods in the area and bus right outside front door. The room was a bit old but they are in the process of updating rooms. Balcony door did not lock but staff came and made it secure. We had a great view.

It was ok. The location wasn't great. Although they are with in walking distance of a beautiful Whole Foods and some good restaurants. They had a shuttle that only takes you out but doesn't pick you up and you have to pay like $10 for it. You have to pay for parking at the hotel. You have to pay for breakfast. The pillows are teensy like squares and I didn't sleep that well on the bed. You can hear the noise from other rooms and the street like the cross walk signals and we were even on the 11th floor. They didn't have a microwave or refrigerator which I need because I bought some groceries. The staff was pretty friendly. I was very satisfied with how quickly I could check in and get a room. There was free wi-fi in the lobby and it seemed fairly clean. I think it was overpriced though for what it was, next time I will probably stay in a B&B, but overall it wasn't bad.

Staff was helpful - they tried to compensate for not being close to the tourist area and downtown - by providing a one way shuttle. Not in the general downtown area. The staff were accomodating and helpful - it was not their fault that the hotel is not located in a good shopping or sightseeing area.

We were, overall, pleased with the place, although it really is out of the loop as far as getting to the places in the city one wants to see. The hotel does have a shuttle, but it is very limited as to where it goes; same for getting to the airport. If you have a late day plane to catch, be prepared to shell out more for a cab. Same goes for getting to other places of interest. They seem to have a good bus system, but we weren't there long enough to figure it out. Do, however, try the Big Bus, which takes you to all the places of most interest in and around the city. It is a great value at 35 dollars for two days. (closest pick-up place is about a mile away on Granville Island) The facility itself is clean and well kept; our room was comfortable and while not the most glamorous place we have stayed, was a good value for the money. We found the staff at the front desk to be a little stand-offish and not very helpful--not everyone, mind you, but a couple of the female employees could use a litte 'people skill' upgrading,

Within walking distance of many restaurants and a great waterside park!

This hotel is close to where I wanted to be. I booked it for several days but after one night, I moved to the Best Western a block north. It was the end of June, which typically has cool nights around 50 deg F and warm days. The room was air-conditioned so high that it was colder than the outside. I called the front office and was told that the temperature is controlled centrally, and each room can not be adjusted. I was offered another blanket. I just put layers of clothing on instead, because what good is an extra blanket when your face is frozen. The internet connection was slow and not stable. I kept losing the signal. The TV channels were also unstable. A lot of buzzing and bad reception, and limited number of channels. The room was also not clean. The bathroom had stains. I would not stay here again. The staff was friendly.

The Holiday Inn at Vancouver-Centre was very comfortable and was all that was described. I didn't expect it to be has far from downtown as it was, thought it would only be in walking distance. The front desk did let me know there was a bus stop ouside of the hotel. If it were closer to the city center there's no doubt I would stay there again.

Loved the location. Easy walk to nearby stores. No need for car rental. Shower was not completely clean. Long black hair stuck on tile was dry. made me vomit. Was very impressed when entering for the very first time. Everything looked clean and well cared for. The room was just spacious. Plenty of room to move around and gorgeous view of the city especially at night time. Only one set back. The shower. There was something stuck on the tile on the shower area. Was not sure what it was, but I used a pen to see if it was marked up or whatever. Turned out to be hair. Long black hair about 12 inches long and about 3 inches wide. Just stuck there. Not sure how the maid missed this. But I was appealed by it. Did not use the shower and had to sponge bathe. We only stayed one night as we just finished our tour to Alaska. The hotel staff was excellent. Very knowledgeable and eager to tell us what we wanted to know. Not sure I would stay there again because of the shower incident. Of all the questions, no one asked about the bathroom. Other friend in another room, stated she could not get the shower to work. Had to take a bath. So we both experienced a bathroom situation.

I was put on the executive floor by virtue of my Priority Club standing. For THREE NIGHTS in a row, I had to fight with the front desk to quiet down parties in neighboring rooms between the hours of 1:30am - 4:30am. Each night required FIVE calls approximately 1/2 hour apart before the noise subsided. Management was completely inept at handling the situation.I will *never* stay there again, and I'm in Vancouver often for business.

Our first stay at the Holiday Inn Centre was a pleasant experience. We did not arrive until midnight but our room was ready, very large and clean. The location is ideal for seeing the sights of Vancouver and they provide a guest shuttle (one way only) to various attractions in the downtown area. The breakfast was good and our server made sure that we had coins for the bus that we needed to take. They also held our baggage a whole day upon our return from the cruise thus allowing us another day to sight see Vancouver.

Hotel staff and waiters friendly and very helpful. Location, not close to the cruise ship dock and not in the better area of town.

This was out third time at this H.I. The staff are always very friendly. We had a great bartender. Breakfast buffet was good, kids ate free and the waitress was awesome. We'll definately stay again.

Room was large with all the amenties that we needed or could use for the price we paid. Location could have been a little better, but was adequate a convienient to public transportation. Dining area was more than adequate and rivaled many local restaurants in price and cuisine.

Location. Parking fees for guests. Hotel is fine. But I had to upgrade and paid extra per night.

Lobby is attractive and people are very helpful. Other areas of the hotel are obviously old and in need of maintenance and updates. Price was good. Parking easy, cost not included in price, but 7 per day not bad. Beds were fine.Pool and Patio area particular-ly in need of attention.

For the most part, it was easy to get around from the hotel. We found ok restaurants close by so we didn't have to go too far. The hotel personnel were very accomadating in helping us with any questions we had. The hotel room itself was very comfortable. We have no complaints about the service or accomodations.

Good location and free shuttle service. Nice hotel, pleasant staff, clean, and good location close to everything. Not the Hilton or Intercontinental, but good value for the money. The hotel restaurant however was not a good value for the prices charged and the food itself was mediocre.
