The hotel was amazing.the location was also just as good.Our room was more then we had expected and cheaper then we planned. Only problem we ran into was our key would not work but we were given a new one in a matter of minutes.I do have to say the price of food was horrible but that is in all areas of Washington. Parking was great as well.

the parking lot is very small...2 cars cannot pass at the same time. also the ceiling is low. i have a truck and the antenna was being bent from the low ceiling..

Clean, great staff, great neighborhood & nearby restaurants. Not near any Metro stations and a walk to the nearest bus stop, too far to walk to sights. This hotel was great for the price. It was a little out of the way for sightseeing or the downtown business area.

Juste we start our trip by an horrible opion when they tell us that our 4 breakfast reservation was not aviable. They give us juste tow breakfast copon, what are supose to do the two others? Why we can ordre for 4 if they can't allow that? And where is our money? More the dinning room is very small and you have to wait 10 minutes before they can give you a table! However the swiming pool on the the roof is great, and the location not bad at the same distance from U street where you can have good night life and the white house. Excuse me for the writing but you certenly understand that I'm a foreigner.

This was a very Good hotel I am from a small town and wanted to go to the atm machine at 8:00 at night but was afraid to walk by myself one of the staff assured mthat everything was okay but I still unsure so she decided to walk with me , talk about Security. I had a great stay . I don't just reccomend this to anyone i reccomend it to everyone.

Ordered room service for breakfast. Because it did not arrive within 15 minutes as advertised, I did not have to pay! The location was within walking distance, 4 blocks from the orange line. The front desk staff were friendly. The hotel met my overall standards.

Close to several Metrostops (about 3 blocks). Close to the White House and Mall straight down 14th or 15th Street. Pretty quiet area of town. Rooms and baths are kinda small and there's no refrig or microwave, but they're clean and the staff is friendly and accomodating. Complimentary coffee in the am. Rooftop pool was good for winding down after the days walk.

if going to DC you want to see all sites, don't let them fool you when they say that the white house is walking distance, Yeah right! 15 to 20mins walking distance. Metro is 6 blocks from hotel. Everything you see approx. 2.2 miles from hotel. We arrived and was hit with a parking fee of 28.00 dollars and it was take it or leave it attitude. The bathroom did have mold in the shower, and toilet didn't flush properly.Their breakfast buffet was very good but pricey at 12.50 a person. So, in my humble opinion go somewhere else better.

Our trip was great! If you are looking for luxury in a hotel, this is not the place for you. BUT if you are a family looking to use this as your rest and planning place, it was great! Appeared to be in a relatively safe area...lots of pedestrians. The hotel is within 5 blocks of the McPherson Metro station. You can get to just about anywhere on the metro. We also found that if you enjoy walking, it is within walking distance to several attractions such as Fords Theater,the Spy museum, and the White House.

It is a very nice hotel! The parking garage in literally down an alley and very hard to find but once you get that done the stay is great. You are about 10 min walk from 2 different subway stations. There is also a touring trolley pick-up 3 blocks away and tickets for day and night tours can be bought in the gift shop. The resteraunt was expensive but kids do eat free off the kids menu. There are not many places to eat around, so eat while your out. We ordered pizza. I would stay here again.

Having read the reviews for this hotel prior to our trip, we learned about many helpful tips such as the Whole Foods just a block away. We walked there several nights to get fruit, breakfast or dessert to take back to the hotel. Even though Dupont Circle is close by, there are many eating opportunities between the hotel and the Circle. Walking up Massachusettes is faster to the Circle but walking down P street behind the hotel shows more of the life that goes on daily. People eat late, walk around, sit at the Circle and listen to music every night so the hotel lends itself to all of that. Having access to the red, blue and orange lines really came in handy. It's still a 15 minute walk to each, but everyone walks as a daily part of their exercise so look at it that way and it's enjoyable.

The holiday inn central is a great hotel... we loved the rooftop pool and friendly service. The staff was excellent with directions, etc. But, don't be fooled, it is at least a 7 block walk to the Metro Subway Station!! :) I recommend this hotel to anyone though!!

Great location to metro and a variety of eating establishments. Friendly staff helped with directions to activities. Pool was nice, but closed at 8:45 pm. Hotel restaurant had a great breakfast special for $5.95! Great value! Rooms were kept nice, and they were quiet. Bathrooms were pretty small for a family.

Location, room layout and furniture, parking situation, and cleanliness met expectations. Small details like a lack of pay-per-view, caffeine coffee, working ice machine, and silence at midnight left a less-than-satisfied impression. Although the room was overall clean and convenient enough for my expectations, I had a few disappointments during my stay:- I had only decaffeinated coffee in my room (which in itself is understandable), but when I went down to the front desk to ask if packages of caffeine coffee were available, the staff looked at me like I was speaking Latin.- I wanted to watch a movie on Pay-per-View, so I consulted the binder on the desk which directed me to channel 1 - didn't work. I called the front desk and asked if Pay-per-View was a service I could access, and the woman responded she didn't know the answer to that question and left it at that. A rooftop party had a DJ playing obnoxious music into the room until midnight. I understand that one's not the hotel's fault, but, in any case, it didn't contribute positively.-The ice machine was broken. I didn't want ice, but I would have liked to have had the option. The parking was convenient, and the amenities (inside- and outside-bathroom sinks, couch and chair by coffee table) were appreciated. We were a 10-minute walk to Dupont Circle ands its stop on the Red line, and the weather was beautiful so that was pleasant. A bit more attention to the above-mentioned details would really go a long way in making this hotel a nice one to recommend but for me, it's not quite there yet.
