Was the closest 3 star hotel I could find to the Richmond International Raceway. Right on the border of a nice area ... but also bordered a really shady area. Room was great, large and clean. But the staff, while friendly, seemed absent-minded and inexperienced. When I checked in they forgot to code the cards and give me the breakfast vouchers. Then, when it came time to get breakfast, it took 45 minutes to get my order out, after they had come back out to ask me what my order was, as they had forgotten it! Also every table was empty but no one was cleaning them. If nothing is available then it's not bad, but could really improve. I wouldn't avoid it ... but next go round I'll look for someplace else first.

There was no microwave in the room. The room lighting is too dim for reading and working as a business traveler. Overall it was generally clean. The lobby area is well laid out. The entrance from the parking garage into the hotel rooms are confusing and needs better signage.

This was my second trip to this hotel in a month. The first visit was somewhat uneventful. However, this trip there were PROBLEMS. The hallway from the parking lot to the builidng smelled like a dirty mop. The room was OK, however, the desk chair did not go up and down, there was mildew in the tub and the shower curtain, the room was supposed to have a refrigerator and a microwave, however neither were in the room. When asked about the fridge and microwave, I was told it was removed to accomodate another room and there was no one available to replace it. Additionally, the clock would not keep the correct time. Upon checking out, I advised the front desk of all this, and asked to speak to the manager who was not available. I left my contact information and have YET to receive a call from management. Found the common area at the front to be very inviting, however the actual room hallways had a foul odor. Obviously, my next trip to Virginia I will definitely find a new location.

Did not feel as safe as I'd have liked with young children with me. Hotel was what a business traveler would expect. I would not feel comfortable having a female co-worker, family or wife go out to the car alone.

Quick check-in, courteous employees. Location is undesirable due to safety. This particular Holiday Inn was not of the same quality as other Holiday Inns that I have stayed at in the past.

"Great overnight stay. Good location off I-95. Clean room, clean bathroom, reasonable rates. Good breakfast. Location...not the best part of town but nothing to worry about. Friendly staff."

Not much. Most of this staff was not very helpful. The rooms are not very will maintained. I have always enjoyed staying in Holiday Inns but this was an exception. The quality was not there and I was disappointed. It was overall a very disappointing experience.

Great place to stay. Our second time staying at this motel.Excellent handicap units On first floor with roll in showers. We will stay here when in Richmond area. Super fast check in and check out. Thanks again.

"Overall hotel stay was ok. the rooms could have been better. the air conditoner was not putting out the air like it suppose. the front desk service was nice and helpful. the maintenance people were on their job. We wanted a microwave and frig in our room, they got it right up to us . i liked that fast service. the maids kept the rooms clean also kept fresh towels in our room. the one most thing i didn't like is the the key card it kept deactivating on us. we couldn't get into our room. we had to walk down to front desk to get our keys activated again. "

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel...it is not fancy, but it is clean with smiling service. It was wonderful to have a door on both sides of the room to take the dog out. The grassy areas were clean and well kept. It is super easy to get off and on I-95 from this hotel. They have the typical Holiday Inn Menu, but breakfast and supper were delicious.We stayed going and coming back on our trip. We plan to stay again in the future."
